Amber Portwood says she was highly sought out to do a sexy time movie back in the day— but she turned down a couchful of cash because of her high morals.
The former(?) Teen Mom star was recently on— where else?— TikTok Live when she made some eyebrow-raising claims about past offers she has received from p0rn company Vivid Video.
“I’ve been asked twice by Vivid Video to make, you know what [a p0rno] before anybody, before any of the girls on the show,” Amber said, obviously referring to the offer her then-co-star Farrah Abraham accepted from the company in 2013 to make her infamous “Backdoor Teen Mom” sexy time movie.
“I said no twice,” she continued.
Amber stated that the first offer she got from the company was for “a couple 100 g’s.” However, the second offer was allegedly for more than $1 million plus 11 percent of “everybody’s videos” (which we can assume is a piece of the profit for each video sold).
“I said no. I said no twice,” she said. “Nah, I’m good. I’m good. I’m f**king good. I don’t want to be famous for that.”
While a lot of the things Amber rants and spews about on TikTok Live are unable to be confirmed, The Ashley actually can confirm that she is telling the truth here. Shortly after Farrah’s p0rn video was released in 2013, Amber’s brother Shawn Portwood tweeted that he was thankful that Amber didn’t accept an offer she received to get her, um, “backdoor” serviced a la Farrah.
“I know a girl who was offered a huge sum of $ to do the same thing. She didn’t bc of her daughter.#thankyousis,” Shawn tweeted, along with a link to a story about “Backdoor Teen Mom.”
“So funny Farrah sold herself for close to $1 million. I know a girl who was offered close to the same substantial amount of money but said she would never do it because of her daughter. Even when that girl was battling an addiction and could have used the money. Being an entrepreneur does not mean selling p0rn of yourself. Just saying…” he added.
(Amber was actually in prison at the time Shawn tweeted this and Farrah’s fanny film was released.)
A few years later in 2017, though, word began to circulate that Amber was in talks to do some sexy-time cinema, this time with her then-fiancé Matt Baier.

Amber confirmed the report in an interview, stating, “It’s in consideration. I still have not made up my mind. I am not strapped for cash. I have a nice house, a nice life. I have everything I need. But I’m a businessperson.”
At the time, Matt stated that Vivid was allegedly only offering him and Amber a flat payment of $85,000 each, but 35 percent of all of the net revenues from the film.
“We took that meeting with [Vivid CEO] Steven [Hirsch] because we’re businesspeople and people want to meet with us, and if they’re legitimate people, we’ll take the meeting,” Matt stated. “What I can tell you about the Vivid meeting is that it was incredibly professional.
“Both of us were extraordinarily flattered to get such a generous offer from Vivid,” Matt added. “We never envisioned ourselves as being adult film stars, especially me in any way shape or form.”
At the time, Amber said she had discussed with her family the “pros and cons” of her humping on camera, and they “told me they love me no matter what.”
As for her daughter— who was about eight years old at the time— Amber stated that she wouldn’t have to know about the adult film.
“Leah would not know about it until she’s old enough. She’s in elementary school right now. I would hope no one would even think to tell her. It would be something I’d do when she’s the right age,” Amber said.
One person who wasn’t thrilled with the news was Farrah, who was treated very harshly by the ‘Teen Mom’ cast and fans for doing her p0rno. Of course, The Big F had plenty to say about Amber and Matt considering making some skin cinema.
“I would caution them but they’re felons and criminals so [I] see why they hope to follow in footsteps of mine,” Farrah told The Ashley in May 2017. “The envy of them wanting to be me never fails, as I see it [as] copying and following in my footsteps.”
The next month, though, Amber revealed that she had decided against doing the adult movie.

She has this weird complex to brag about being first to do anything. She commonly references how Teen Mom wouldn’t exist without her, like that’s worth bragging about. Now, she was the first to get an offer to make adult films. You’re also the first to leave a permanent print on their living room couch as well.
Matt and Amber saying they are business people gave me a good laugh.
They offer that to EVERYONE who even remotely gets on TV, or the news. Especially if you are in some way problematic.

Vivid is known to do that. They love exploiting low-hanging D-list celebrity fruit. They throw offers around like crazy hoping someone, anyone will bite. (Strip clubs, too) It’s a side show piece, a curiosity piece.

He monetizes it, which is why he’s entertaining it. Wherever it is he lives, which isn’t in the US, he’s quite likely making damn good wages off each video. There are some areas of the world where monetizing with even just a few views, likes, shares, subs, etc.. can get you some pretty decent money (not in the US, of course, lol). Here it might be pennies, at best, maybe a week. Where he lives, it’s likely closer to the equivalent of $100 or more a week, which is a lot some places.
