From, getting back on TikTok to getting the last laugh about a podcast scandal, it’s been a busy week for the stars/former stars of the “Teen Mom” franchise! In an effort to bring you up-to-date on the latest “Teen Mom” news, The Ashley brings you the Teen Mom News Pile.
Here are some of the major (and minor but interesting) ‘Teen Mom’-related things that happened over the last week or so…
Amber Portwood Resurfaces On Social Media to Sing & Mourn Her Missing Alto

Amber Portwood recently resurfaced on TikTok after a lengthy– and very rare– hiatus from the social media platform to belt out some tunes and reveal her goal for the next six months.
(Spoiler alert: Amber’s six-month plan doesn’t include repairing the relationship with her estranged daughter, Leah.)

The self-proclaimed “damn good mom,” who has historically maintained more of a presence on TikTok than in her own children’s lives, hopped onto Live this week to chat with and serenade random fans from within her dimly-lit home.
At one point during the Live, the ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’ star failed to hit a note while singing along to the 2015 Lord Huron song, “The Night We Met,” causing her to momentarily pause her performance to explain why her vocal abilities were falling short.
“I told you, my alto is gone,” she claimed. “Alto is, if you guys don’t know, it’s like the deep part, the deep part of my voice is gone. I don’t know where it went, I can’t control it like I used to … .”

Despite her (alleged) missing-in-action alto, Amber continued to assault treat fans to the live couch performance, explaining that she still “loves singing” and has already made a lot of progress singing-wise since experiencing “all the s**t that was bursting in my throat.” (Ya know what? We don’t even WANT to know what she’s talking about at this point.)
“I’ll have my voice back eventually,” she cautioned said. “I give it, like, six more months and it’ll be good.”

As another song began to play in the background, Amber once again attempted to sing along, while reiterating that she has “no alto left.” According to the couch aficionado, she will have to teach herself how to “maneuver” her vocal cords in the way that she used to be able to, though she predicted that doing so would be “pretty intense.”
“I’m ready to do the Céline Dion’s and things like that for you guys, and the Adele’s,” she said…with entirely too much confidence.

After some more sans-alto singing, Amber perused her playlist and apologized to fans for having an abundance of “angry” songs in the lineup. She alto also took a moment to shout out those who were “showing love and sending anything” to her in the Live chat.
“ … you’re beautiful,” she stated.
Amber also told the audience that she had missed them during her social media hiatus.
“You already know, that’s unspoken,” Amber said. “You guys, whenever I come on here and I say, ‘Hi,’ even though it’s, like, it’s so scarce these days, I love you guys so much.”

Kail Lowry Says She Doesn’t Care If Lindsie Chrisley Asked Jenelle Evans to Start a Podcast Before the Two Launched ‘Coffee Convos’

Kail Lowry may be up to her cosmetically snatched chin in baby daddy drama, but the former ‘Teen Mom 2’ star isn’t losing sleep over the recent claims made by her former co-star Jenelle Evans.
As The Ashley recently told you, the former (at least for now, anyway) Lady of The Land attempted to stir up some up some chaos earlier this month by claiming that Kail only nabbed the gig on her Coffee Convos podcast because Jenelle chose not to start a podcast with Kail’s co-host, Lindsie Chrisley, herself.
On a bonus episode of ‘Coffee Convos’ released this week, Kail and Lindsie addressed Jenelle’s claims after Kail revealed that she had received a screenshot “in real time” of a DM that Jenelle got from Lindsie years ago– before Kail and Lindsie launched ‘Coffee Convos’– in which Lindsie and Jenelle exchanged pleasantries and phone numbers. Kail proceeded to read the exchange aloud (in-part), including the caption, in which Jenelle told social media followers that she had “found this gem on Twitter before [Coffee Convos] was started.”

“I need to just clarify to everyone listening here, I don’t care if you asked 10 people to start a podcast before me, I literally don’t care,” Kail told her co-host. “Everyone that said no, or ghosted you, or didn’t answer or whatever, y’all blocked your own blessing because we’ve got a multi-million dollar business, so I do not give a f**k.”
While Lindsie took issue with Kail referring to their podcast as a “multi-million dollar business,” Kail doubled down on her statement, explaining that she was proud of the accomplishment as she “came from nothing.”

“ … I’m going to brag about a multi-million dollar business that we built from the ground up by ourselves,” Kail said. “At the time, we had no support, I didn’t have management, I didn’t have assistants at the time, I didn’t have a brand at that time, I had nothing. We really built this from the ground up.”
As for the years-old evidence Jenelle that produced on social media, Lindsie said she honestly didn’t understand what point Jenelle was trying to make. (This comes just a week after Lindsie denied Jenelle’s claims to The Ashley and accused the mom of three of trying to use Kail’s podcasting success as a way to drum up content for the upcoming podcast she’s allegedly launching.)
“I just don’t understand what this screenshot [is about], like, okay, cool,” Lindsie said. “I’ve never said that I haven’t communicated with you.”
Kail went on to reiterate that she didn’t care about Lindsie and Jenelle communicating in the past before sarcastically crediting Jenelle for her podcasting success.

“I don’t care … like, I don’t care,” Kail said. “Okay, Jenelle, if that’s a hill that you’re willing to die on. Shout out to Jenelle for all the views that I’ve got. Thank you so much, couldn’t have done it without you. Eye roll. If that’s what she’s looking for, [I’m] glad that I’ve been able to give that to her.”

Catelynn Lowell’s Little Brother Nick Expecting Baby Boy with Girlfriend

It’s going to be a boy for Catelynn’s little brother Nick.
In case you don’t already feel old enough, Nick (who started appearing on ‘Teen Mom’ around the age of 3) announced last month that he is going to a father. Earlier this week, Nick posted the results of his gender reveal to Instagram, revealing that he and his girlfriend Emma Smith are expecting a baby boy in June.
Nick— who is now 19 years old—- opened a baby bureau to see that it was stuffed with blue items, indicating that the baby is a boy. Nick cheered when he saw the blue items, proudly displaying them in photos.
Nick is the youngest child of Cate’s mom April. (Despite what many fans assumed, April’s ex-husband Butch Baltierra is not Nick’s father.) Nick and Catelynn were once very close, as Catelynn helped raise her little brother.
Sadly, in 2023 they had a big falling out and it doesn’t appear that their relationship has fully recovered since then. Nick also had a fall-out with Cate’s husband Tyler Baltierra after Nick accused Tyler of fat-shaming Catelynn, and claimed he was gay, among other things, things Cate and Ty went on to deny.
As ‘Teen Mom’ fans are very aware, Tyler was desperate to have a boy but ended up with four girls— one of which was Carly, the baby he and Cate placed for adoption at birth in 2009. During several gender reveal episodes, Ty was visibly upset when it was revealed that Cate was pregnant with another girl.

It’s unknown how Tyler reacted to Nick having a baby boy, as neither him nor Cate commented on the post.
