Danny Booko issued a public apology to his wife Nia Sanchez on Wednesday, shortly after the father of four cancelled his scheduled appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ amid backlash regarding his recent behavior on ‘The Valley.’
While ‘WWHL’ host Andy Cohen recently asked fans to submit questions on social media for Danny and co-star Luke Broderick to answer during Wednesday’s show, it was announced earlier this week (and confirmed by Danny via social media) that Danny wouldn’t be joining Luke on the episode and that Tom Schwartz would be filling in as a last-minute replacement.
Danny’s decision to pull out of the interview had many fans of the Bravo series speculating that he cancelled to avoid having to answer for his recent behavior on ‘The Valley’– the majority of which was directed at Nia during a cast trip to San Diego. In an effort to quash some of the criticism he’s been receiving online, Danny took to his Instagram Story on Wednesday to publicly apologize to Nia, insisting that, “watching these last few episodes back hasn’t been easy.”

“It was a difficult season of life and a version of myself that I’m embarrassed by and not proud of,” Danny wrote. “A short fuse, stress, alcohol and lack of sleep are never a good combination, but that’s not an excuse. I should have never taken any of it out on you. Balancing parenthood and life can stretch you in ways you don’t fully realize until you see yourself through a different lens. I love, honor and respect you deeply, and I did not show that in some of these moments.”
Danny ended his probably AI-generated apology by telling Nia how much he loves her and how grateful he is for her, as well as their family and the “beautiful, chaotic life” they’ve built together.
“I thank God for you every day,” he added.
During Wednesday’s episode of ‘WWHL,’ Andy acknowledged Danny’s absence, telling viewers that the actor had “booked a job and had to cancel [in order to] work”– an explanation Andy said he believed was true and one that Luke said he could “corroborate.”
“He definitely has a job,” Luke added.
“Well, there ya go,” Andy told viewers. “Listen, he’s coming to the reunion, so … he’s gonna deal with [the backlash].”

While Danny managed to dodge taking accountability for his behavior on ‘WWHL’ this week, he attempted to do some damage control on a recent episode of ‘The Valley After Show,’ insisting that his disrespectful demeanor towards Nia had nothing to do with their newborn daughter Adelaide, who accompanied the two on the cast trip to San Diego.
“This is [kid] number four,” Danny said. “You think I haven’t done this three other times? I know exactly how to support my wife.”
Nia also made excuses for Danny’s behavior, claiming that both she and her husband “can be short with each other.”

“That doesn’t mean we have a bad relationship,” she said. “It just means that we were having hard moments and we’ll keep working on it, because we’re in it for the long run. And we’ve been together for a long time, and we know that those moments don’t define our entire relationship.”
Earlier this month, Danny’s friend and co-star Luke also came under fire after fans accused the first-time dad of being unsupportive of his postpartum fiancée, Kristen Doute.
Within the first two episodes of Season 3, Luke seemed to make a less-than great impression on viewers by putting emphasis on the lack of intimacy in his and Kristen’s relationship following their daughter Kaia’s birth. In another scene, he complained to Kristen that he was “not allowed to have a hard time” and that being a new parent was “only allowed to be hard for [Kristen].”
Kristen went on to defend Luke in an interview with Decider, while asking fans to “give Luke a little bit of a chance.”
On Wednesday, Nia appeared to take a page out of Kristen’s book by posting a video to her Instagram Story addressing the comments she’s been receiving regarding Danny’s on-camera behavior towards her.
“ … I understand people have strong opinions,” Nia said. “I’m gonna be posting something about San Diego soon because, believe it or not, fun times were had– that’s not obviously what is shown on the screen. Daniel wants to address it, I’m gonna let him address it first … But, for me and my page, if you are hateful and, like, vicious, there’s like, a chance you’re gonna get blocked … .
“I need to keep my headspace positive for my kids,” she added.
New episodes of ‘The Valley’ air Wednesdays on Bravo.

He is such a creepy, small, and petty man. Baskins favorite type of guy in my opinion, abusive in some way to women.
