Kate Gosselin is still fighting for her life in the comment sections of her TikTok posts, several weeks after her estranged son Collin announced the upcoming release of his tell-all book.
In the comment sections of her posts— which are about her dogs and not related to Collin— fans have been peppering the former ‘Kate Plus 8’ star with questions and comments regarding her son’s claims of abuse and neglect. Kate has always denied abusing Collin, and has stated that she did what she had to do— including committing him to a residential facility as a child— to keep him and her other kids safe.
In a comment posted on Wednesday, Kate reiterated that her actions toward Collin were justified and that she tried her best to raise him. (In comments posted last week, Kate implied that Collin is “mentally ill,” a “skilled manipulator” and more, and stated that she would take legal action against him if she could.)
When a fan expressed sadness over the hate Kate has been getting (likely due to Collin’s accusations), Kate responded that she tried her best with all of her kids. (As TLC fans know, Kate and her ex-husband Jon have eight kids total: twins Mady and Cara, along with sextuplets– Collin, Aaden, Joel, Hannah, Alexis and Leah.)
“As long as we know in our hearts that we did the absolute best we can for each individual child (which I am confident with zero doubt that I did), that is all we can do,” Kate wrote.
She also hinted that Collin’s behavior as an adult has nothing to do with her.
“How they conduct themselves (with the diagnosis’s they are given), is up to them,” she replied.
While Kate has yet to release an official statement regarding the claims Collin is making in the press lately, she has been relatively outspoken in her TikTok comments. Collin, in turn, has stayed on her neck when it comes to posting about his mother.
After @therealityholic Instagram account posted an old video of Kate that showed her denying her daughter Mady water while the family was on the set of ‘The Today Show,’ Collin took to Instagram to call his mom out.
In the clip, a young Mady expresses several times to Kate that she is really thirsty. Kate tells Mady that she’s thirsty too and asks someone on the set for a bottle of water. Mady looks relieved as someone brings Kate some water. Kate takes the water and drinks it— right in front of Mady without offering her any. Mady even tells her mom, “You’re so lucky!” as she drinks the water in front of her. Kate then mentions that “after this” filming, they’ll “somehow manage to get drinks in here for you.”
Mady can be heard telling her mom that she’s “really, really mean” for “drinking right in front of my face.” Kate, in turn, tells Mady to “be quiet.”
Collin reposted the clip, and added his own commentary.
“Not sharing any water with my siblings is crazy. And this is just a very minuscule example of the things she would do,” he wrote.

Kate seems to forget that we watched the show and saw her abuse. We saw how she treated her kids. We heard how she talked to them. Many people have read her magazine interviews where she flat out claims with zero remorse that potty training the youngest 6 was a nightmare because she believed the kids were
purposely failing!!!! Seriously Kate? And, she said that Collin was the hardest to train no matter how hard she spanked him or how many times! Hitting your child for potty training accidents Kate?
So the poor little boy gets older and has “anger issues” that you think are dangerous enough to seclude him from the family and later, have him locked up in a mental institution? I’m sorry, but if you can honestly forgive yourself for those kinds of things, let alone deny they ever happened, then YOU are the one with obvious mental illness. You failed your children, but most of all you failed Collin.
Hiw sick, twisted and delusional can one be. Everything wrong with this family is at the hands of Kate and she deserves to be punished for her sins
