Taylor Frankie Paul Films for ‘Mormon Wives’ Following Season 5 Production Pause; Fires Back at “MomTok” for Claiming They’re “Surviving” Without Her

Nevertheless, MomTok persists…

Taylor Frankie Paul’s participation in the upcoming season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives may be “limited,” but her bandwidth to engage in MomTok battles remains boundless.

According to TMZ, Taylor resumed filming for ‘Mormon Wives’ on Thursday. However, the mom of three only filmed footage that will be used for the Season 5 intro credits and she’s reportedly not expected to film anything else.

“Wait, so my return is ‘limited’ AND I don’t get to wear my sweatpants?!”

As The Ashley previously told you, filming on Season 5 of ‘Mormon Wives’ was paused in March following an incident in February between Taylor and her ex-boyfriend/(second) baby daddy, Dakota Mortensen, which spurred a domestic assault investigation into the exes. (Taylor continues to be involved in a messy custody battle with Dakota, the father of her two-year-old son Ever, as well as her ex-husband, Tate Paul, the father of her two older children.)

Taylor’s Season 5 filming obligations are slated to wrap up Friday, but the remaining members of MomTok recently reunited to finish filming for the upcoming season as well, with some of the cast even sharing behind-the-scenes content on social media, with one particular post striking a nerve with Taylor.

On Wednesday, Whitney Leavitt and the rest of the ‘Mormon Wives’ cast/MomTok members (sans Taylor)– Mikayla Matthews, Layla Taylor, Miranda Hope, Jessi Draper, Mayci Neeley and Jen Affleck– filmed an Instagram Reel in which the group was seen dancing and laughing together under an on-screen caption that read, “we’re surviving.”

In response to the group’s presumed diss about “surviving” in her absence, Taylor took the comments to issue a message to her (former?) friends and co-stars.

“Looks like thriving to me, I’ll show you surviving,” she wrote.

Later that day, Taylor-– who has seemingly yet to pass up an opportunity to react, revile, and/or release her feelings on social media–- responded to MomTok’s Instagram Reel with one of her own.

“Just because I didn’t doesn’t mean I couldn’t,” she captioned her post. “Got a whole team going at me during my lowest. Keep aiming I guess… your shots are terrible…”

In the video, a smug Taylor lip-synced to Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now” under text that read, “A team trying to humble me and calling it a joke…My turn. Let’s humble.”

She then proceeded to show screenshots of alleged business opportunities she’s been offered, including a book (and accompanying book tour), a spot on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and an invitation from Sports Illustrated to attend (and possibly walk in) Miami Swim Week. Taylor ended the cringe-tastic video by claiming that she also received an offer “to start a production company.”

While Taylor seemed fired up in her clapback content, she later took to her Instagram Story to post a tearful photo of herself while accusing more than a dozen people of basically kicking her while she’s down.

“Today was extremely difficult meanwhile there has been at least 12+ people throughout this trying to make it harder,” she wrote. “Thank you God for revealing them all. I want to be nothing like them. They bully, I defend myself .. not the same.

“Pay attention how this plays out,” she continued. “I trust.”

Although Taylor appears to be on the outs with most of MomTok at this moment, Jessi– who has publicly backed Taylor in recent months– posted (and later deleted) a video to Instagram defending the “we’re surviving” video, while telling fans, “Respectfully, you guys need to calm down.”

“I know that MomTok is all about drama videos and figuring out who is friends with who and who’s clapping back at each other, but you guys don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes,” she explained. “Just remember, we film a reality show and you guys don’t know the ins and outs until it comes out. We’re currently filming right now. There is a group of us together, we do not choose who comes to these things and who doesn’t.

“I have been very public in my support of Taylor,” she continued. “I still support Taylor, she knows that [and] I talk to her every single day. Still friends with her, still love her. I also still have some friendships in MomTok and we also film a show together, and we work together, and we have to be together and we have to make videos together. It’s part of our job, but it’s also a good thing that the group is able to get along and make these videos right now … .”

“The last thing I’m trying to do is land on THIS ONE’S bad side, people…”

Jessi went on to insist that the “we’re surviving” video was not “meant to be a dig,” but rather a “fun video, like the old days.” She also told fans that she can “be friends with multiple people at once.”

Mikayla also issued a response to Taylor’s video, taking to her Instagram Story on Thursday to list her castmates’ various accomplishments while slamming Taylor (who she didn’t mention by name) for “bashing [the] accomplishments of women who’ve done nothing but celebrate yours,” calling the move “a choice.”

According to TMZ, ‘Mormon Wives’ production sources claim they are “hopeful and confident” that the series will be renewed for a sixth season, though Hulu has yet to make a decision.

  1. when is taylor not going through something?? all the other moms are also going through very serious issues themselves and you would think taylor is used to losing custody and slowly gaining back custody of her kids by now with all the trouble she keeps putting herself in but the minute anyone says something about her they’re bullies???
