Mackenzie Standifer has taken action to keep her ex-husband Ryan Edwards‘ wife Amanda Conner away from their kids!
The Ashley can exclusively reveal that Mack filed for— and was granted— an ex parte emergency restraining order to bar Amanda from being around Jagger and Stella— the two kids Mackenzie shares with the ‘Teen Mom’ star. In addition, Mackenzie asked the judge to modify the existing custody agreement so that Ryan is not able to take the kids anywhere on his own or have them at his home.
The court apparently has not barred Ryan from seeing the kids, meaning he can likely visit them at his parents’ house.
This changes the custody agreement Mack and Ryan signed in August 2025, which granted Mackenzie 225 days a year with the kids and Ryan 140 days, including overnight visits.
According to court documents obtained by The Ashley, Mackenzie filed for the emergency restraining order/custody modification on Friday and the judge approved the order the same day. Temporary custody of the kids was granted to Mack, and it looks like Ryan was a summons that same day.
As ‘Teen Mom’ fans know, Ryan and Amanda both have a long history of substance abuse issues and legal problems. They met while rehabbing in 2023. Both got sober and Amanda gave birth to their daughter, Presley, in 2025. Earlier this year, fans began to comment on Amanda’s erratic and strange behavior on social media, causing some to accuse Amanda of being on drugs, something she denied.
In May, she was arrested for DUI. Her arrest triggered additional charges of Child Abuse/Neglect since she had Presley in the car with her.
Not long after her arrest, Amanda confessed to relapsing. Since then, though, she has claimed to be on the straight-and-narrow and maintaining her sobriety. However, last month the judge in her case ordered Amanda to submit to weekly drug tests. (Amanda explained it away as being due to her “haters” calling her probation officer excessively.)
She is next due to appear in court for her charges on October 21.
Ryan and Amanda have not commented yet on Mackenzie winning temporary emergency custody of Ryan’s kids.

Something must have happened recently for the judge to grant emergency custody. I don’t think he would do that over something that happened 4 months ago.
Also I remember when Amanda was mocking Mackenzie constantly online… I don’t feel sorry for Amanda. She’s trash regardless of also being a junkie.
I’m prepared for the amount of hate I’m going to get for this, so here goes.
Amanda was arrested in May. If this restraining order has anything to do with that whole situation, then Mackenzie looks petty as hell. Why wait 4 months to file?
My thoughts are that either Amanda or Ryan have done something substantial recently for this to be going down. It’s the only thing that makes sense.
As someone in recovery (I have 8 years clean off of m**h and almost 1 year sober from alcohol), I have really been rooting for both Amanda and Ryan because I’ve lived that life and getting clean and sober is the hardest thing I’ve done in almost 47 years of life. Especially when the whole world is expecting you to fail. Yes, relapses happen for some folks unfortunately. I’ve been lucky, I put that shit down and never touched it again and have no desire to. But it’s looking like Amanda doesn’t have the same luck as me. Ryan is just inherently an uninvolved parent, sober or not. I did have hope for him to turn it around, especially when he apologized to Bentley and seemed like he was taking a genuine interest in being a part of Bentley’s life. Ryan reminds me of my Dad, distant and not invested. But, as a recovering addict, I can say with the utmost certainty that Amanda is on a backslide like no other. She’s not going to get better until she’s away from whatever is keeping her down and she’s really not going to get better until she gets some psychiatric help. Girls got a rough backstory, but she needs help to learn how to not use that as an excuse to stay sick. Until her and Ryan can figure it out, Mackenzie made the right decision. Either way, I’m keeping everyone involved, including Amanda and Ryan, in my prayers.

It’s also interesting to see Maci’s recent post about Bentley and his high school accomplishments. Parents are named over the PA as Maci and Taylor, no Ryan in sight, no mention of him at all. Maci must have cooled on her enthusiasm for Ryan and his “recovery” as well.
I thought about that too. My understanding is the students have a say in what’s said over the PA, if that’s the case then Bentley is the one who chose to exclude Ryan which makes me think he’s not so thrilled with Ryan these days either
I’d have a permanent restraining order against both Ryan and her. Those poor kids could get killed in their care due to them being on drugs and accidentally forgetting them or worse.
I was hoping Mackenzie would do this and am honestly surprised it took this long which makes me wonder if anything happened.
I hope Maci has been smart enough to ensure Bentley isn’t around his methtastic stepmommy either, obviously it’s different in that he’s older and able to drive but nevertheless, I would still be concerned.
My exact thought was why did it take her this long to file for the emergency order? I will not at all be surprised if we hear that either Ryan or Amanda just did something else awful that caused Mack to finally wake up and file for this protection.
It makes me wonder if some kind of threat was made by Amanda that gave Mackenzie the ammunition she needed to get the emergency order granted.
I wonder how many secret visits Mack’s kids have had with Amanda and Presley since May? 🤔
I wonder if anything specific happened. Amanda does not look sober on social media and honestly when you see Ryan’s eyes his sobriety is questionable. If I were Mackenzie I wouldn’t want my kids going there unsupervised.
She’s probably worried for them to ever be riding in a vehicle with Amanda after what happened. Can’t really trust Ryan will keep them safe.
I’m still stunned the judge ever forced Mack to surrender the kids to Ryan for weekend visits around Amanda. She should’ve had to prove her sobriety for YEARS before having access to those kids.
Agreed. And honestly Ryan should have as well. Especially because when he destroyed Mack’s house he also destroyed his kids rooms, breaking their toys, flipping their beds. And then there is the lovely fact that he smeared actual poop on the walls. I wouldn’t trust Ryan as far as I could throw him. At least not for a long while.

This needed to happen. I guess Mackenzie was right to try the first time. Here RYAN goes making babies with another substance abuse person…..sigh…..the cycle continues.
