Amanda Conner is seemingly responding to criticism she and her husband Ryan Edwards have been getting lately, particularly after The Ashley broke the news last week that Amanda has been banned from seeing the kids Ryan shares with his ex Mackenzie.
In a post to social media on Saturday, Amanda— who has been uncharacteristically quiet since the news broke about the custody change— spoke for her and her former ‘Teen Mom’ star husband. While Amanda didn’t specifically mention being banned from seeing Ryan’s kids, she did call the news circulating about her and Ryan “fiction.”
As The Ashley previously reported, Mackenzie filed for and was granted an ex parte emergency restraining order last week to bar Amanda from being around her and Ryan’s kids Jagger and Stella. In addition, the judge modified Mack and Ryan’s existing custody agreement so that Ryan is not able to take the kids anywhere on his own or have them at his home. While he is not banned from seeing the kids, he must do so at his parents’ home while supervised.
Mack now also has the right to decide if Jagger and Stella can visit with Ryan’s parents, Jen and Larry.

Amanda— who, in the past, has taken to social media to deny or argue when negative stories about her are reported— wrote in her statement that she and Ryan are done responding.
“When it comes to me and my husband, whatever version of our story helps y’all sleep at night– run with it,” she wrote. “We’ve officially retired from offering corrections, clarifications, or fact checks for fiction we didn’t write…
“At this point… believe what ya want. And respectfully, f**k you and them.”
As The Ashley previously told you, Amanda has a court date next month to answer for charges she received following her arrest in May for DUI, Child Abuse/Neglect and more. (She received the Child Abuse/Neglect charge because she had her daughter Presley in the car with her when she was arrested for DUI.) Shortly after her arrest, Amanda admitted to relapsing on drugs; however, her sobriety continues to be questioned in the comment sections of her social media posts.
Last month, a judge ordered Amanda to submit to weekly drug testing. Ryan has also been ordered (thanks to the motions recently filed in court by Mackenzie) to undergo drug testing of his fingernails to see if he is using kratom, a plant with leaves that contain opioid-like chemicals. (Kratom is illegal in Tennessee, the state Ryan lives in.)
As fans are aware, Ryan has struggled with substance abuse issues for years and had a very long addiction to opioids. He has claimed to be sober for the last few years, however.
Other than Amanda’s statement being posted to his social media pages, Ryan has yet to speak publicly about the recent custody changes or the restraining order.
Amanda’s followers, however, had a lot to say in response to her statement.
“Respectfully you created this situation when you relapsed and lied to everyone whilst telling us we were just dumb!” one person wrote in the comment section of Amanda’s post on Facebook. “People don’t doubt you for just no good reason. I’m in recovery myself so I get it! You both deserve to be sober and happy and be there to raise your kids, and I pray that you’re both doing meetings and doing well.”
“Praying you both are getting the help and support you both seem to need!” another person wrote. “I want to see you both well and happy for your children!”
“Not a flex when you can’t even see his kids,” someone else commented.
As of press time, no court date has been scheduled for Ryan to fight the temporary custody order.

Amanda is like every other addict out there. She’s not going to admit that she’s using and will give lame attempts at discrediting anyone that says she is. As for Ryan, he’s NEVER been sober. Just because he may not have been abusing opioids, he was still drinking booze all the time and that’s just not what being sober means. Addicts cannot consume alcohol or drugs, period. And while Mimi Jen & Larry buy Ryan’s bullshit, the rest of us never did.
