Jeff Lewis is back and ‘Flipping Out’ like never before in his new series, ‘Still Flipping Out,’ premiering next week on Bravo.
“It’s been eight years since ‘Flipping Out’ ended,” Jeff reminds viewers in the trailer for his new Bravo show. “I used to make a lot of money just flipping houses. The design business is still a stream of income, but now I have streams of income doing other things.”
Among those “other things” is Jeff Lewis Live, a daily two-hour radio show on Sirius XM’s Radio Andy.
“Andy Cohen is my boss,” Jeff says, right before viewers see Andy confronting Jeff for complaining that “John Mayer has a better studio” than him.
After Andy compliments Jeff’s “wack pack” of radio co-hosts– many of whom hail from the Bravo universe– Jeff’s righthand man, “chief-of-staff” Shane Douglas, gives viewers a synopsis of Jeff Lewis Live.
“The premise of the radio show is that we hang out at night and we drink, and we talk about it on the show the next day,” he explains, before Jeff proclaims that Jeff Lewis Live is “one of the top shows on the platform.”
Although Jeff insists that he’s “a much calmer person” than he used to be, the ‘Still Flipping Out’ trailer suggests otherwise. Between warning Shane that he’ll be fired if he spills popcorn in the car and accusing another employee of botching the lunch orders, to asking his hair and makeup artist Debbie if she intentionally made him look as though he’s “going to a drag show,” it’s clear that this is a new show starring the same Jeff.
“Yes, I still flip out,” he admits. “I think it’s less frequent.”
This week, Bravo released a first look at the premiere episode of ‘Still Flipping Out,’ which kicks off with Jeff surprisingly doling out some kind words.
“Shane’s been with me for six years, he’s my number one,” Jeff says of his trusty chief-of-staff. “Shane’s smart. He’s really kind of perfect for me. It took me a long time, but I found somebody … he’s my work soulmate. He’s privy to pretty much everything.”
Shane goes on to tell viewers that his focus is on Jeff every day from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the chief-of-staff admitting, “you don’t have a personal life when you work for Jeff.”
“The boundaries are loose working for Jeff,” he adds. “I wouldn’t say it’s normal, but it’s like…it’s fun.”
The sneak peek goes on to show the inner workings of Jeff’s radio show, where he welcomes four guests– whom he lovingly refers to as “chumps”– every day, five days a week.
“The show is very light,” Jeff explains. “Some people may call it dumb. I’m not arguing with you.”
We also get to meet Annie Sharp, Jeff’s social media manager and self-proclaimed “director of slaytistics.” Annie is quick to inform viewers that, while Jeff did allow her to choose her own job title when she asked him for a promotion, he didn’t bother giving her a raise to go with it.
“So that was rude,” she says.
The sneak peek also introduces fans to Doug, an “odd” and “strangle little man” who works/splits bagels with Jeff, as well as Joey, a “chump” whose job is to be “larger than life.” Joey tells viewers that he’s “been a chump since 2022,” and plans to “be a chump for the rest of [his] life.”
Also included in Jeff’s lineup of “15 regular, rotating chumps” are BFFs Reza Farahan and Mercedes “MJ” Javid of ‘Shahs of Sunset’ and ‘The Valley: Persian Style’ fame; former ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star Crystal Kung Minkoff; ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Cynthia Bailey;Jamie Kennedy, Justin Sylvester and Sarah Colonna– just to name a few.
“That’s the stable of talent that I usually will pull from,” Jeff explains. “And then when I do live events like Chumpcon [or] Chumpmas, those are the first people I go to.
“There’s been, like, some really nice friendships that have been built around this community,” he adds, before slamming Joey for not being “good with boundaries.”
‘Still Flipping Out’ premieres Monday, September 28 on Bravo.
