Jacob Roloff’s Wife Isabel Gives Update After “Being Asked to Leave” Roloff Farms by Father-in-Law Matt: “We Just Feel Devastated”

Weeks after former ‘Little People Big World’ star Jacob Roloff revealed that he and wife Isabel were unexpectedly “being asked to leave” Roloff Farms by his dad Matt, Isabel is giving fans a bleak update on the seemingly mounting family feud.

As The Ashley previously told you, Jacob began hinting last month on social media that he and Isabel– who moved back to his family’s 109-acre Oregon farm in 2022 with their son Matteo– would likely be leaving the farm in early 2027. Despite the couple working on the farm and paying rent to live on the property, Jacob later revealed on Reddit that his dad was booting them off of the family’s as-seen-on-TV farm.

Jacob’s claims came just months after Matt re-listed a 16.6-acre section of Roloff Farms he’s been trying to unload on and off since 2022. Included in the up-for-grabs property is the Roloff Family’s former home, as well as the notable red barn, both of which were featured on ‘LPBW.’

While Jacob and Isabel were well aware that Matt intended to sell the 16.6-acre portion of Roloff Farms, Isabel revealed this week that they only recently learned that Matt also hopes to sell off the farm’s agricultural land, including the property on which the family of three currently reside in a doublewide trailer.

“We see the land as such a precious thing,” Isabel said in a new interview with People. “We’ve been so grateful to live here, so we just feel devastated.”

Although Jacob has opened up lately about the extensive work expected of him on Roloff Farms as well as the low pay that’s come with it, Isabel insists that the arrangement with Matt was “going well” until they learned about his revised plans for the farm last month. As ‘LPBW’ fans know, Matt’s initial decision to sell part of Roloff Farms sparked another feud among the Roloff Family years ago– that one, between the father of four and his twin sons Zach and Jeremy, who Matt alleged had “decided not to consider working together toward a possible joint sale.”

While Isabel admitted this week that she and Jacob are “still hoping for a miracle” regarding their own future on the farm, she also recognizes the complicated situation they’re up against.

“I think that there’s just so much hurt and tension within the family,” she said. “As somebody who married into it, I’m very much like, ‘Can’t we all get along?’ But I can’t mend fences that I never broke.”

Isabel also explained to the outlet this week that, while “a lot of people assume” that Roloff Farms is a place Jacob associates with “so much hurt,” being back on the farm has actually been a healing experience for him. (As fans of ‘LPBW’ may remember, Jacob claimed in December 2020 that he had been molested years earlier by Chris Cardamone, a producer who worked on the Roloff’s reality series from 2007 to 2010. Jacob came forward with the allegations a year after leaving the TLC series.)

“ … I think being here with our son was able to heal a lot of Jacob,” Isabel said. “It felt like new beginnings, like changing the energy of the past and what happened to him here. He was just able to move forward and see it with different eyes– seeing it through the eyes of our son.”

Isabel also refuted a common assumption among fans that she and Jacob are expecting for Matt to just give them the farm.

“We just want to continue working and living here, if possible,” she insisted.

With the their family of three tentatively expected to vacate the farm by January or February, Isabel revealed that she and Jacob have discussed the possibility of relocating to another farm with their animals. However, she claimed that financially, they aren’t able to make it happen at this time. While some fans have encouraged the couple to launch an online fundraiser to assist with the costs, both Jacob and Isabel have publicly stated that they refuse to do so.

“We are both privileged in certain ways and just know that there are way better and more important things to donate to,” Isabel explained, with Jacob previously telling fans on social media that he will not be doing a GoFundMe “for anything related to this farm bulls**t.”

While Jacob and Isabel may very well be entering their final fall at Roloff Farms, the couple is still encouraging locals to come out for the farm’s annual pumpkin season.

“ … we still love the aspect of people coming out and seeing the beautiful farm,” Isabel said. “We’ve loved our time here growing flowers, growing pumpkins, growing vegetables– it would just be sad to say goodbye.”

Jacob and Isabel have helped maintain the farm and care for the animals, and they also operate Helvetia Gardens on a rented portion of farmland not included in the sale.

When asked by a fan last month what Matt plans to do if the 16.6-acre piece of Roloff Farms doesn’t sell this time, Jacob expressed doubt that his dad will ever unload the property.

“It just won’t [sell], and it will be an albatross left to the kids with 0 runaway or chance of keeping it because there has been no chance to build revenue opportunities beyond filming,” he predicted.

As for Matt, he offered a rather vague response to his son and daughter-in-law’s recent claims about the farm’s future, telling People, “I’m focused on my retirement plans and being fair to all my family members that I love and adore including all my grandchildren.”

At this time, the 16.6-acre parcel of Roloff Farms remains on the market with an asking price of $2.6 million.
