Jim Bob Duggar’s Candidate Website for State Senator Campaign Fails to Mention His Policies or Platform; Only Asks Fans for Donations

“I want your vote AND your money.”

Jim Bob Duggar wants to be the next Arkansas State Senator for District 7–– but more importantly, he wants your money!

The former Counting On and 19 Kids and Counting star, who announced he was running for Senate last month, has already launched his candidate website, though it seems he forgot to mention the specifics of his platform-– other than being “pro-family, pro-business, pro-gun and pro-life.”

While Jimmy B did make sure to sign his name with the Ichthys (aka the “Christian fish” symbol) and mention his “faith” several times, he failed to give details on what he plans to do to help his District should he be elected. He did make sure, however, to provide a tab where supporters can donate to his campaign.

Contributors are encouraged to fork over at least $25 to the Fundie father, though a “you decide” option is available for supporters interested in donating an amount other than those listed.

“YES, Jim Bob–I’m with you,” the campaign website states. “I am committing now to praying for you and am standing with you.”

As The Ashley previously reported, the seat Jim Bob is hoping to fill opened up last month when Senator Lance Eads resigned from the position after winning the election in 2020.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Jimmy B would have some competition in his quest for political power. The Duggar Patriarch will have to defeat retired Navy Captain Steve Unger and Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Springdale, Colby Fulfer, in order to get his mitts on the Senate seat.

“Sure, you guys may have some nifty qualifications, but I have this patriotic cat shirt. I think we know who the winner will be!”

Jim Bob previously served as a Republican member of the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003. In 2002, he ran for the U.S. Senate but lost. He went on to lose again in 2006, when he sought the Republican nomination for the District 35 seat in the Arkansas State Senate.

While Jim Bob’s son Jed Duggar was defeated last year in his bid to become the Arkansas State Representative for District 89 in Springdale, it’s Jim Bob’s oldest son, Josh Duggar, who is already causing Jim Bob to receive backlash over his candidacy.

After announcing his Senate run on social media, fans online encouraged Jim Bob to focus on “fixing” his own family before trying to get back into politics– referring to Josh’s upcoming child sex abuse trial, for which he is being charged for possessing and receiving child p0rnography.

“We Duggars have been told to get fixed for YEARS and that still hasn’t stopped us!”

Jim Bob will find out how much his son’s ongoing controversy– and how much his decision to continue helping Josh fight the charges mentioned above– have impacted his candidacy when the State Senate District 7 Special Primary Election takes place December 14.

  1. I suppose he demonstrates his “pro-family” stance by failing to protect his own daughters from the pedophile he raised. Pedo apologist aint real Christlike there Jim Bob

  2. I don’t even live in Arkansas, but I’d be willing to donate to the other guys campaign just because. The reason there weren’t any issues or platforms on his website is because he doesn’t have any! He simply saw running as the perfect opportunity to obtain donations for his son’s defense under false pretenses. He definitely needs to get his own house in order.

  3. Anyone catch that $2900 amount? That’s bizarre 😂 he’s probably gonna use that money for Josh’s legal defense

    1. Bunk bed Jed wasn’t voted into office last year, he lost to a highly educated woman (teacher?) who ran against him. The problem is there’s no one running against Jim Bob.

  4. He really has some nerve to run for office! I wonder if he still believes that predators who harm children should receive the death penalty. And how will he protect the state of Arkansas when he couldn’t even protect his daughters from their predatory and dangerous brother? I hope he loses by a landslide.
