The marriage between Kody Brown and Janelle Brown may have burned out, but the couple claims they never had an issue keeping the fire going in the bedroom throughout their decades-long union.

On Part 2 of the Sister Wives Season 18 Tell-All, Janelle-– whom Kody previously insisted was only attracted to him because of his “nice pecs” and “six-pack abs”–- revealed to host Sukanya Krishnan that despite her and Kody’s mounting issues (absolutely no pun intended, whatsoever) there was “definitely physical compatibility” in their marriage.
Janelle noted that, while she may have kept the details of her and Kody’s sex life under wraps over the years, it wasn’t because either party was dissatisfied.
“I’m not someone who goes around blabbing about that,” Janelle explained. “That’s not me, I don’t talk about that stuff. I’ll hint at it but yes, of course, everything was very good in that department.”
Janelle opened up to Us Weekly recently, stating that her and her sister wives (past and present) have never “filmed, like, bedroom intimate things,” nor would she personally ever talk about the topic openly with them.
“I’m not going to discuss it,” she said. “[I’m] never going to discuss that. No, I don’t want to know. And neither does anybody else.”
In that same interview, Kody’s ex-wife Christine Brown said that while she and Janelle remain close, they “don’t know each other’s intimate secrets and things like that either.”
“We’re classy,” Christine said, to which Janelle added that sex is “very private between you and your partner.”
On the Tell-All Part 2, though, Janelle did reveal that “making up” with her hot-headed, frizzy-haired hubby after one of their heated arguments was the best.
While Kody didn’t deny Janelle’s claims, he insisted their superb sex life wasn’t what kept him and Janelle together for so many years.
“That’s not what it is,” he said. “These are loving relationships. Sex is part of it, but that’s not a focus.”
As fans know, Kody’s only remaining “loving relationship” is with wife Robyn Brown (Wife #4), as Christine (Wife #3) announced she was leaving Kody in November 2021, Janelle (Wife #2) separated from Kody the following year, and Meri Brown (Wife #1) confirmed her and Kody’s split in January.

I’m sorry, I don’t believe it. Remember last season (I think) when Janelle and Kody were at a restaurant and he mentioned that they haven’t acted married in many years? What did that mean? He was still going over there until the last couple years, so I figured it meant he hadn’t slept with her in many years, which I thought was obvious anyway. I think it’s her pride because she stayed this long and she doesn’t want to look as pathetic as Meri. I think she’s always tried to make her relationship with him look meaningful and he’s never called her out on it. he finally blew her cover during that conversation in the restaurant last season but she just glossed over it. Let’s be serious, he hasn’t touched any of them since he met Robyn.
No, after that they explained he meant ‘not acting like a married couple’ meant that she was independent and made decisions all the time without him like buying the trailer. She countered with that in plural marriage the wife has to be independent because the husband is not always there or available when decisions need to be made, and he said that that’s partly true but Janelle always prioritized her independence over him.
Also Christine has said that she always struggled because she knew Janelle’s and his intimacy was always good while her own with Kody wasn’t. I’ve done a complete rewatch of the series recently and there are TONS of small comments made over the years that align completely with it being true.

To be fair, Janelle was kind of forced into making a comment about their sex life because Kody said he felt like merely a sex object to Janelle. I believe he said he was “a piece of meat” to her. The man’s narcissism has no boundaries.
She was right, I didn’t want to know.
