‘Jersey Shore’ Star Sammi Giancola Announces Engagement to Justin May: “Easiest Question I’ve Ever Answered”

“Second time’s a charm!”

Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is getting hitched.

The Jersey Shore Family Vacation star announced Monday on social media that her boyfriend Justin May popped the question last month and that the two are engaged to be married.

“Life update: Fiancé  3.16.24,” Sammi wrote on Instagram. “The easiest question I’ve ever answered.. happiest & luckiest girl in the world. I’ll love you forever and then some  #Futurewifey #Engaged.”

Sammi made sure to let people know that, while she waited until April 1 to announce her engagement, it was “not an April fools joke.”

Justin also shared photos from the proposal to his Instagram, letting everyone know, “she said yes!”

“Can’t wait to Marry my best friend,” he continued. “Love you so much babe! Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you!”

Sammi’s engagement news was met with many congratulations from her ‘Jersey Shore Family Reunion’ castmates, including Jenni “JWoww” Farley, DJ Pauly D and Deena Cortese.

“CONGRATS SAMANTHA!!” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi commented.

“Congratulations!!” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino added. “Love Love.”

“Congrats mama to you and [Justin] #wedding,” Angelina Pivarnick wrote.

The newly-engaged couple also received congratulations from some of significant others of the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast, including Deena’s husband, Chris Buckner, and Jenni’s fiancé, Zack Clayton Carpinello.

“Congratulations!!!” Mike’s wife, Lauren Sorrentino added. “🥹 I’m so excited for you & Justin! beautiful couple.”

“LOVE love!!!” Pauly’s girlfriend, Nikki Saint Claire wrote. “Congratulations.”

(Not surprisingly, Sammi’s ex Ronnie Magro-Ortiz— whom she reunited with this season for the first time since their breakup years ago— did not leave any congratulatory messages on the post.)

As you may recall, Sammi was previously engaged to Christian Biscardi. The couple announced their engagement in March 2019 and were planning for a wedding in Spring 2020 when the pandemic forced them to postpone their nuptials until September 2020.

After months of speculation, Sammi eventually confirmed her split from Christian in July 2021.

According to People, Sammi and Justin began dating just a few months after Sammi and Christian ended their engagement. The couple made their debut on social media in November 2021 on Twitter.

As he did in Season 6 of ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation,’ Justin joined Sammi for Season 7 of the Jersey Shore spinoff, which is currently airing on MTV.

  1. Totally off point, but I feel like Angelina, Zac Crapinello, Vinny, Jenny, and even Snookie are just too fake to be on this show. None of them seem genuine, aren’t into it, and are just there for their MTV checks.

I used to like the show when it was genuine and portrayed a real familia of youngsters at the JS.

    1. Yes, the reboot is scripted, contrived and boring. I loved the original show too but I only made it thru the first season of Family Vacation. Can’t believe it’s lasted this long. Who the hell is watching it?

      1. The original show was also scripted. A lot of what happened in Seaside Heights could not be on television.
