‘Sister Wives’ Stars Meri & Janelle Brown Open Up About Their Sex Lives After Divorcing Kody; Janelle Denies Being “Asexual” Like Kody Implied

“What do you think, should we apply to be on the next season of Love Island?”

Meri and Janelle Brown are single and spilling the tea on their respective sex lives since splitting from husband Kody Brown.

In Us Weekly’s sneak peek of Part 4 of the Sister Wives Season 19 One-on-One, Kody’s first and second wives reveal to host Sukanya “Suki” Krishnan that while they’re not currently seeing or sleeping with anyone, they’re both open to the idea, with Janelle even describing herself as “a very sexual being.”

Janelle’s comments may come as a surprise to some ‘Sister Wives’ fans. According to Janelle, Kody often made it seem like she was not interested in sex, something Janelle made clear is not the case.

Raise your hand if you think it’s time to move on to bigger and better things…

As fans know, Meri and Kody officially and “permanently terminated” their mess of a marriage in January 2023, leaving Robyn Brown as the only remaining (and legal) wife of Kody, as Janelle confirmed her split from Kody in 2022 and Christine Brown divorced Kody in late 2021. (Christine has since remarried, tying the knot with David Woolley in October 2023.)

While Meri went as far as to get a “spiritual release” from Kody through the family’s former church following their split, she seemingly confirms to Suki on Sunday’s One-on-One that she’s yet to become intimate with another man, claiming it’s been a “very long time” since she’s see any “action.”

I guess she isn’t counting the moving-day dry hump…

Meri went on to share that her friend– presumably her bestie, Jenn Sullivan– is encouraging her to get back out there and even jokes about buying Meri “boxes of protection,” though Meri insists she doesn’t need them at the moment.

“I’m like, ‘I don’t need you to buy for me, nothing’s happening, nothing needs to happen,’” Meri says, to which Suki tells her, “things need to happen.”

“OK, when it’s appropriate,” Meri replies.

As The Ashley previously told you, Meri revealed on social media in January 2024 that she had been dating a man named Amos Andrews since October 2023. A month after hard-launching the relationship, Meri shared on Instagram Live that the two had parted ways after facing some “hard truths” and having some “difficult conversations.”

Meri and her former boyfriend, Amos…

She told fans at the time that while she planned to “dip [her] toes into this [dating] process again,” she was “confident” in herself as a single lady.

While Janelle has yet to dip her toes into the dating pool, she assures both Suki and ‘Sister Wives’ viewers on Sunday’s episode that she’s “not asexual” — as Kody sometimes implied— and actually misses physical affection now that she’s no longer married.

“The hormones are hell when you’re single, but you know, it’s like you just deal with it or whatever,” she says. “I suspect that someday down the road, if there’s somebody else, then that will be part of it.”

“…but for now, I’ll take celibacy over putting up with Kody’s crap.”

Janelle also explains that, while she was never big on PDA with Kody on ‘Sister Wives,’ she’s “a very sexual being” off-camera.

“I’m a Taurus and I’m very Earth Mama, and I’ll just say that,” she states. “Everything earthy– food, wine, sex, all of it.”

It’s too late to lure her back now, Kody…

As fans may remember, Janelle told Suki during the Season 18 Tell-All that, despite her and Kody’s mounting issues (no pun intended), there was “definitely physical compatibility” in their marriage. She also noted that, while she tended to keep the details of her and Kody’s sex life under wraps over the years, it wasn’t because either party was dissatisfied.

“I’m not someone who goes around blabbing about that,” Janelle said. “That’s not me, I don’t talk about that stuff. I’ll hint at it but yes, of course, everything was very good in that department.”

“I’m RILLY tryin’ to block that out of my memory.”

Unlike Janelle’s marriage to Kody, Christine revealed on Part 2 of the Season 19 One-on-One that there was a lack of “true intimacy” in her marriage to Kody, claiming that both she and her former husband were aware that there was “something missing.”

Meanwhile, on an episode of ‘Sister Wives’ that aired in October, Kody told viewers that all of his former marriages were “bad” when compared to the “normal relationship” he has with Robyn, insisting that their relationship comes with “deep emotional intimacy,” whereas his first three marriages largely came with arguing.

Stop talking about your “deep emotional intimacy” with Robyn before you gross us out to the point that we ALL to turn to celibacy, Kody…

“Some people call it F&F,” he explained. “And the second word is ‘fight.’ Or F&F and the first word is ‘fight.’ That doesn’t create intimacy, that just creates orgasms.”

Part 4 of the ‘Sister Wives’ One-on-One airs Sunday on TLC.

  1. He was describing how good she looked in hair & makeup at a Tell All and he just wanted to lick her face.

  2. Early on I watched and was intrigued at the dynamic. After about 3 episodes I realized that Kody was nothing more than an egotistical opportunistic and that these lovely women fell into the trap. I’m happy to read that they all got out (Robin, you should run (not walk) out of this life.

  3. I don’t ever, ever, ever, ever, ever need to see the words “Kody” and “orgasim” in the same sentence.”

  4. Meri doesn’t even realize Kody has been using her as part of his PR campaign.

Also, when he said he has the least amount of respect for Christine, that’s because he’s trying to discredit her because she has the most accurate read on him.

  5. I don’t have a way to watch sister wives, is that finger tongue thing I keep seeing something that he was talking about doing to Robin or this an out of context type picture?

I felt weird reading this. I am all for couples being together but them being in a plural marriage is just weird, doing multiple people while in multiple committed relationships. Just grosses me out more.

    1. Definitely don’t do things that gross you out, but also don’t shame others for not having the same opinion.

The finger tongue thing was grody trying to be “cute” 🤮 while refusing to answer questions.

  6. Poor Grody, it must be crushing for a man with his ego to be easily replaced by a couple of D batteries…
