Farrah Abraham is claiming that her strained relationship with mom Debra Danielsen played a part in her deciding to film her 2013 sex tape, Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom.
In the latest episode of A&E’s docuseries Secrets of Celebrity Sex Tapes, the fired Teen Mom star recounts the mental state she was in following the 2008 death of her boyfriend Derek Underwood– the father of her daughter Sophia– as well as the challenging relationship she and Debra had in the years that followed.
In a new interview with E! News, Farrah claimed that prior to filming her sex tape, she was mourning Derek’s death and dealing with depression and anxiety, which were “very much running [her] life.” As a result, Farrah said her then-manager suggested that she film a sex tape, which, as you know, she ultimately did with adult film star James Deen.
Despite maintaining for years that her sex tape was initially a private video that had been leaked, Farrah admits in her episode of ‘Secrets of Celebrity Sex Tapes’ that the NSFW production was intended to provide her with some much needed love and connection to another person– something she said she didn’t have with her own mother.
“It definitely was a time when I was young, no one was really looking out for me,” she said. “I had a really bad mother wound. I had a really bad complex with my mom not being the mom that I needed.”
As The Ashley previously told you, Farrah has been estranged from her mom for years and she revealed last year that she also stopped communicating with her father, Michael Abraham, after completing a trauma treatment program in 2022. (Despite this, Michael appeared in Farrah’s episode of the A&E docuseries, much to Farrah’s dismay.)
In June, Farrah insisted that, although she doesn’t speak to her parents often, things are now “cordial” between them. Still, she explains in ‘Secrets of Celebrity Sex Tapes’ that she ultimately cut off certain people in her life– including Debra and Michael– for good reason.
“You see, hey, what are these patterns that I’ve allowed in my life with people?” Farrah said. “And number one was giving my love for protection and I never got protection from anyone in my life. So that’s why you really don’t see anyone in my life of the past, because they did not serve something that I definitely need, which is a safe space.”

Farrah is indeed entitled trash. She treats everyone who has the misfortune of meeting her like an absolute doormat. She’s rude and disgusting, but enough about her everyone already knows what she is. I never thought Michael was trash, but look at Debz OG. What a total trainwreck….a fucking embarrassment. I remember her nagging Farrah to pay for her botox or some shit she was having done. She’s a leech and she has no shame, worse than Farrah

While I don’t doubt for a second that a portion of Farrah’s issues stem from Debz OG, adding new terms to her vernacular to try to sound credible is just what Farrah does.
It’s either from her buzzword of the day calendar or she saw someone else online said it so she jumped on it like it was paying for a date, and fully intends to ride it ’til it’s raw.
She’s ridiculous any way you spin it, really. I’m also sure her upbringing had a decent amount to do with who she was as a teen, maybe even a young adult. As a now older adult, however, there are no excuses. She’s just fucking stupid and ridiculous at this point, lol.
