Months after igniting (and proceeding to fuel) breakup rumors on social media, Cory Wharton has revealed that he and longtime girlfriend Taylor Selfridge are “still together.”
The Teen Mom: The Next Chapter star shared the status of his relationship while answering fan questions recently on TikTok. During the Q&A, Cory was asked if he and Taylor have ever rewatched the 2017 season of Ex on the Beach on which they met. After revealing that he and Taylor haven’t, Cory said he believes that he and Taylor are “the only couple [from the show] that’s still together.”
As fans of ‘Teen Mom’ know, Cory and Taylor are parents to daughters Mila, whom they welcomed in 2020, and Maya, who was born in 2022. (Cory also shares daughter Ryder with Cheyenne Floyd.) However, back in May, Cory confirmed on X that he and Taylor were “going through s**t” after fans online noticed that the cohabitating co-parents had removed photos of each other from their respective social media pages.
Cory also insisted at the time that the problems in his relationship with Taylor were not caused by him cheating, as many fans had suspected.
While The Challenge star has been questioned for years by fans (and Taylor herself) about his reluctance to marry Taylor, he said earlier this year that he did not believe walking down the aisle would have solved the problems the two were allegedly having.
Still, as those who watched Season 3 of Teen Mom Family Reunion will remember, Cory’s reluctance to propose to Taylor was a major issue in the couple’s relationship, with Taylor repeatedly telling her baby daddy that she wanted to marry him and that she was tired of making excuses to people about why he refused to make things official with her. At one point during the season, Taylor even admitted to Cory that she felt embarrassed to go to the grocery store with a cart-full of kids and no engagement ring.
Taylor also told In Touch Weekly in March 2024 that she would only wait so long for Cory to pop the question, insisting that, “the clock is ticking” and that Cory has “had enough time.”
While Cory and Taylor have heavily hinted on social media for months that they are no longer together, neither officially confirmed the split. Cory revealed in September that he and Taylor were still living together and that they were “dealing with what we’re dealing with, outside of you guys.”
He went on to tell fans that he would “open up” about the status of his relationship “when the timing is right.”
The news of Cory and Taylor’s seemingly rekindled romance comes on the heels of the couple’s three-year-old daughter Maya undergoing a successful open-heart surgery called the Fontan. Taylor reported that the procedure had improved Maya’s oxygenation levels, as well as her overall coloring. (As The Ashley previously told you, Maya– who was born with a rare form of heart disease called tricuspid atresia– had already undergone several heart surgeries in her lifetime, with her first procedure happening at just six days old.)
“ … we just finished the final surgery that we’ve been waiting for about four years since I was pregnant with her,” Taylor shared last month on Instagram. “This will be a forever health issue for her, but she should never need another open heart surgery again and if she does, she will probably be older than me now.”
Taylor was recently asked on social media if she wanted to have more kids in the future, and while the mom of two said she doesn’t think she’s “done” having children, she also admitted that she’s unsure if she wants to be pregnant again.
“ … I went through so much with Maya and it’s like, we just started getting past that whole thing– a little bit past it, ya know?” Taylor added. “So, like, eventually…maybe? But like, I just don’t have that urge to [have more kids], but I keep seeing little infants and babies and pregnant people and I’m like, ‘Aww!’ But, no. No.”

Taylor Never-Wharton needs to get some self-respect and be done with this clown.
Hard for me to feel sorry for her. You claim not being married or having a ring and having all those kids makes you embarrassed, but you’re willing to go right back to him when he will never give you a ring, which will keep you embarrassed. He’s a turbo douche, but sure … Keep thinking he wants to change. At least their baby is okay
I really don’t understand why Taylor never decided to just propose to him herself. This is 2025, people. And if he says no or even says that is emasculating him….RUN.

Because she knows 100% he would say no. Or worse.. say yes for the cameras, but ultimately not go through with it.

Regardless of people’s feelings about marriage, I really feel like the way Cory has handled this topic… that IS meaningful to the mother of his kids…is childish at best and completely deceptive at worst. Taylor deserves better. I hope she’s got an IUD in at this point, at least until they’re both on the same page…or she’s left him.
If marriage is important to Taylor she is not going to get it from Cory. 8 years and 2 kids later & he still hasn’t proposed.
Cory is peak “boy math” of “having two kids and a house together but marriage is too much of a commitment.”
