Gabbie Egan Talks About Her Experiences with Jenelle Evans; Says She Feels “Sad For” Jenelle After Watching Her Reconcile with Ex David Eason

“Gurrrl, it took you a year just to get the David stench of your clothes last time! And now you’re back?!”

TikTok star Gabbie Egan is opening up about what made her end her friendship with Jenelle Evans, and giving her thoughts on the fired ‘Teen Mom’ star getting back with her ex-husband David Eason, despite Jenelle previously accusing him of being abusive to her and her kids, possessing child exploitation materials and more.

During a recent episode of The Softy Podcast, Gabbie and her cohost Meg Hardee discussed Gabbie’s real-life encounters with Jenelle (and David), as well as how upset Gabbie was when she found out Jenelle had taken David back earlier this year. (As The Ashley reported in February, Gabbie and Jenelle got into an online spat after Gabbie publicly called out Jenelle for taking the “swamp monster”— aka David— back despite pledging to Gabbie that she wanted to better her life.)

“What could be better than life with…this?”

“Honestly, like, this whole thing does make me really sad,” Gabbie said during the episode regarding Jenelle reconciling with her swampy ex-soulmate. “…whenever you do something like go back to somebody who did that kind of stuff to you, your kids; ruined your reputation— not that she didn’t ruin it herself some— but I really did feel like she was in her redemption era. And it was really sad to watch her throw it all away.

“And then now I’m in a public feud with her. I’m not really hurt about it, but I am sad for her.”

Gabbie also predicted that David would ruin things in Jenelle’s life, now that he’s back in the picture.

“What have I ever done to her? Other than get her fired from her only real job, kill her dog, make companies avoid her like the plague, spend her money…”

“I know that if the swamp monster is back in the picture, he’s going to rip everything to shreds for her like he always does,” Gabbie said. “…My last message from her is, ‘F you, Gabbie.’ But, my whole thing is I don’t hate this girl.”

Gabbie stated that, despite the fact that she and Jenelle weren’t on speaking terms when Jenelle left David in February 2024, she still texted the former Lady ‘o’ The Land to congratulate her on losing the dead weight that is David.

“When she left David, I had texted her and I said, ‘Dude, I’m so proud of you. You rock for that. Like, good for you,'” Gabbie said. “I didn’t even expect a response back because we weren’t cool at the time. And I had done my little fair share of [taking] like small digs on social media [at her], you know, throughout the years or whatever. And she responded back. We start talking like pretty frequently for like, I feel like a year or so. And then all of a sudden, it was like she was back with David again.”

“I’m like a mold-covered boomerang. I always find my way right back!”

During the episode Gabbie explained that she was “trying to be a good friend” to Jenelle during the time she and David were apart.

“Like talking on the phone for an hour about things that have nothing to do with me just to be a friend to her and give her advice or just be there for her in general. And that’s not me throwing it in anybody’s face. Like, I was happy to do it,” Gabbie said, with Meg adding that Gabbie had helped Jenelle secure new management during this time.

“I genuinely thought that she was working to become a better human,” Gabbie said.

“Oh Gabbie, ya poor, naive gurl!”

“And then I had seen the rumors that she was back with David.”

Gabbie said she knew that if Mr. and Mrs. Jenelle Evans were back together, her friendship with Jenelle was over.

“And I was like, ‘Oh, this is going to be like we’re not going to talk. For one, we’re not going to talk anymore if she’s back with David because David freaking hates me,'” Gabbie said, before going on to claim that Jenelle confessed things to her about David, in addition to the list of his dirty deeds the public already knows.

“There was so many allegations that she made and 911 calls and police reports and even things that she confided in me about,” she said. “So that was kind of like a smack in the face. So when I texted her and she didn’t respond, when I asked her if she was back
with David, I was kind of, like, what the heck?”

Jenelle was none too happy when Gabbie posted a funny video about Jenelle and Swamp Monster David’s reconciliation.

“It genuinely is none of my business. But, I just felt like it was kind of like a slap in my face whenever I put so much effort into
someone who’s actively telling me that they’re getting their life together and they’re changing,” Gabbie said. “And I’m giving you my time, effort and energy…. I’m always there, I’m trying to help you, I’m giving you my connections. I’m doing all these things, and then all of a sudden, it’s like you just go right back, which is not my business.”

Gabbie and Jenelle in better times during Gabbie’s visit to The Land years ago…

“She’s a grown woman, she can do what she wants, and it’s my decision on whether or not I am even friends with somebody or not,” she continued, adding that associating with Jenelle caused her own reputation to take a hit with the public.

“…I really do sometimes be believing in people and trusting in people, and even damaging my own reputation being associated with people, because I’m like, ‘You know what? Maybe they just need one person to believe in them and to be on their team
and to have their back and to support them,” she said. “And then they show their true colors, that it was all a chameleon act or whatever the case may be.”

“Take it from me. She’ll be tellin’ the whole world ya never played Yahtzee wif her the second things go south!”

Gabbie went on to say that she’s lucky to have a great network of supportive friends, something she says the fired ‘Teen Mom’ star does not have.

“I am really lucky. Like, I do genuinely have such a great support system,” Gabbie said. “…I’m lucky because I have friends who genuinely do know my character and know me and are willing to come to bat on the Internet for me and defend me. And Jenelle really doesn’t have anyone like that.”

“Dude, that’s not even true. I have Tori…oh wait…and my family…oh wait…and my former co-stars…oh wait…”

“I think that the only person that she really did have was me at one point,” Gabbie said, adding that she does feel bad about getting into online spats with Jenelle, despite the fact that they seem funny at the time.

“At the end of the day, I do feel really bad because she has, like, nobody really on her side,” she said. “Like, she doesn’t have many friends out there other than like her makeup artist.”

When Gabbie’s co-host, Meg, pointed out that Jenelle’s lack of friends is likely due to her own actions, Gabbie agreed but stated she still pities Jenelle for having no true friends.

“This one wouldn’t even bring me underwear in the hospital!”… “Jenelle, don’t make me get my drumsticks!”

“I genuinely do think that some of her hate and making up things [about me] is because maybe she is envious of the girls that I do have in my life,” Gabbie said. “Like, I have great relationships with so many women in my life and I’m so grateful for that because I haven’t always had that. But that is something that literally can’t be envied.”

Gabbie stated that, at one point, Jenelle had asked her to introduce her to some friends.

“There were times where we were talking when we were friends where she was saying that she wanted to get sober and, like, wanted to hang out with some of my friends and so, I even brought some of my friends to her divorce party,” she said, adding that she was genuinely trying to be a good friend to Jenelle at the time, and is not revealing all of this to be mean.

“If I wanted to like take her down and be vindictive, I have so much other crap that I could [reveal],” she said. “Like, literally so much other crap. But I’m not like a mean, nasty person.”

On Monday, Jenelle apparently caught wind of Gabbie’s podcast episode about her, causing her to take to Facebook to comment.

“I hear Gabbie is talking about me once again on her podcast, I’m too exhausted to comment,” Jenelle wrote.

Gabbie, however, came back with quite the zinger.

“At least I have a podcast to talk about you on,” she replied. “Level up babe chase ur dreams.”

All of us after reading Gabbie’s clapback…

Jenelle quickly deleted the post from Facebook after Gabbie left the comment.
