Jenelle Evans is insisting her ex-husband-turned-current-soulmate David Eason has changed, and is not the “arrogant” and “unhinged” man he used to be.
In a video posted to social media on Thursday, the fired ‘Teen Mom’ star finally addressed why she gave David a second 4ooth chance. As The Ashley has reported, Jenelle and Big Dave hooked back up around late January, and he’s been shacking up with her ever since. Jenelle has yet to acknowledge the relationship—insisting she and her ex are just “co-parenting” for the sake of their daughter Ensley. In the new video, though, Jenelle admits that she and David aren’t sure where their back-from-the-dead romance currently stands, but she insists David is a changed man.
No…seriously.
Jenelle chose to answer a question left for her on social media, in which the person asked if Jenelle feels David has changed his life. (As ‘Teen Mom’ fans will remember, Jenelle accused David of abusing her and her kids during the marriage and claimed that she found some memory cards that came from David’s phone that she said contained materials related to the “sexual exploitation of a minor.” You can listen to her make those claims in court by clicking here.)
Apparently, that’s all (swamp) water under the bridge, because Jenelle is now singing her ex’s praises.
“For me to allow someone to come back into my life, I have to scope the situation and have to see if old patterns present themselves again, if you know what I mean,” Jenelle said, before talking about how awful David used to be.
“David, he used to lash out a lot online,” she said. “He used to post whatever he wanted to. He used to be very unhinged, arrogant. He didn’t really care about people’s feelings. And, in the background, people didn’t see that I was sitting there saying, ‘Please stop. Please stop. Please stop.’ He wouldn’t take my advice. He didn’t care at all. He just cared about defending himself.”
(As fans will remember, David was partially responsible for Jenelle being fired from ‘Teen Mom 2,’ and has been at the root of her losing countless promo deals and gigs.)
“Now, he cares more about peace, I noticed,” she said. “And I see more maturity and growth in him lately, I will say.”
Jenelle—who currently has an active restraining order out on David—said that she and her former soulmate have refrained from talking about their rekindled connection online, due to the fact that they are still figuring things out.
“We don’t know where we’re at. We just know that we’re coparenting and it’s working and everyone’s getting along,” Jenelle said. “So, we’re liking that a lot and we’re gonna continue on that path. Hopefully, things just stay peaceful, ya know?”
Jenelle then discussed how she wanted a “peaceful coparenting relationship’ with each of her three baby daddiiii. (In addition to David, Jenelle’s baby daddies include Nathan Griffith— who’s currently in prison— and Andrew Lewis, who’s taking her to court over custody of their son Jace.)
“So far I’m [peacefully coparenting] with two, and the third one is just M.I.A. and refuses to talk to me. So, we’re almost there but making progress at least,” she said.
People in the comment section seemed to be skeptical of both Jenelle’s explanation of where her and David’s relationship stands, as well as of her insistence that David has changed.
“Does co-parenting involve sleeping in the same bed?” one person asked.
“‘Scopes’ but still chooses the same type of men and swears they’ve changed after they aren’t together. I wouldn’t even take cooking advice from her,” someone else wrote.
David— who moved to Florida with Jenelle a month or so ago— is preparing to go on trial for as felony Assault by Strangulation and child abuse for allegedly assaulting Jace in 2023 when Jace was 14. Although David’s jury trial is set for August, there will be at least one administrative hearing held before the trial begins.
Last month, Jenelle told someone on Facebook that David choking Jace “never happened.”

“He’s matured. He’s changed.” Does that mean he got a job? Jenelle couldn’t scope out any situation because she lacks the rationality and intelligence. She’s not fooling anyone. David hasn’t changed, matured or become any less impulsive. He’s playing the long game like he did before with Jenelle & more recently with Kenleigh. As soon as David starts feeling more secure, he’ll revert back to his old ways and Jenelle will let him as long as he stays with her. This is still the honeymoon period & David HAS to be good now while the RO is still in effect. As soon as that’s fallen by the wayside, Swamp Man will be back with a vengeance.
I hate everything about her. I hope that Jace is safe and happy. I wish someone could save Kaiser and Ensley from these two psychopathic assholes. Also to co-parent it would help to actually BE parents. I don’t think either one ever have been.

As bad as David is, I think Janelle has been with even more violent exes. Courtland may have been her worst. She was lucky to escape that marriage.

As long as they’re shacking up with each other the rest of us are safe from their shenanigans so have at it girl. A major win for the human race.
I feel so horrible for those kids. Especially Kaiser who’s right back in his abusers grasp. And NG is nowhere to be found due to his own problems (& I don’t know how much Dorris can do at this time). But it’s not as if Ensley has it much better so…
They’re isolated in Florida & it’s only a matter of time until something bad happens (which will conveniently be after the ROs are dropped & whatever happens with Jace’s trial). And no one will have any sympathy for her since we’ve all seen everything he’s done & what she’s accused him of doing.
Just ugh. I really want the judge who granted the RO to haul her back in court & make her explain herself but the NC court system is suspect so I have no faith in that.
She’s an unhinged piece of sludge. She shouldn’t have custody of a plant, let alone kids and animals. If you want to F up your own life, go right ahead. But leave other living things out of it. She’s so selfish and destructive. Gross.
If she recants, they need to prosecute her for perjury and filing a false claim.

I don’t care how much he’s changed. If a man put hands on my kids, he would never be welcome in my home again and ESPECIALLY not in my bed. I would permanently lose attraction, nothing could bring it back.
