Aaron Carter Praises Mom Jane Carter for Nearly 40 Days of Sobriety; Extends His Giant Face Tattoo to His Neck

“At least one of us is doing really well at the moment.”

Aaron Carter revealed some good news to his social media followers this week when he shared that his mother, Jane Carter, is almost 40 days sober.

Aaron, who is starring alongside Jane on Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars: Family Edition, shared the news on Monday via Instagram.

“ … I’m so proud that she is almost 40 days sober and she is truly the love of my life,” he captioned a photo of Jane. “Momma without you there would be no me.”

Aaron went on to mention that some of his family had cut his mom off “due to the disease of addiction,” however, he said having been to rehab twice himself, it is something he is more “knowledgeable about.” He went on to thank the TV show The Doctors for helping him get his mom “the help she needed.”

The episode of ‘The Doctors’ featuring Jane aired last month.

While the news of Aaron’s mom’s sobriety is not to be overlooked, questions of Aaron’s own sobriety and overall well-being continue to arise, most recently when the singer debuted a rather large face tattoo. Aaron has since revealed new additions to his ink collection, including another face tattoo—though much smaller this time around—and a new neck tattoo, both of which he showed off on social media this week.

Aaron continues to deny any accusations of drug use and even attempted to prove his sobriety last week by posting a video of himself taking an at-home drug test.

Aside from the sobriety concerns, Aaron has also been dealing with some issues within his family.

Earlier this month, according to In Touch, Aaron’s older brother Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys revealed on Twitter that he and his sister Angel had filed for restraining orders against Aaron due to his “increasingly alarming behavior,” specifically some alleged death threats directed at Nick and his family.

“In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confession that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family,” he wrote. “We love our brother and truly hope he gets the proper treatment he needs before any harm comes to himself or anyone else.”

Aside from adding to his tattoo collection this week, Aaron revealed yesterday on Instagram that he purchased a “f**king castle” in Canada.

There’s no word yet if the new Carter Canadian Castle will have a designated room for face tattooing, or a guest suite for Jane.

  1. Drugs or not, that guy is unwell. I saw him in the YouTube documentary about Lou Perlman, and he clearly needs psych help, but sadly he doesn’t seem to recognize that he has a problem. I’m glad his mom seems to be doing well. I wish them the best of luck.

    1. I watched that on the weekend. I read that his interview was filmed a couple of years ago, before he claimed to be sober. He is still an absolute mess though, whether it’s drugs or just mental issues causing it, I don’t know. He definitely needs help though.

    2. He has been diagnosed with schizophrenia… but what he’s allegedly been given to treat said mood disorder is Gabapentin which can be used in cases of mild depression/anxiety (from what I’ve heard) this isn’t meant to treat schizophrenia

  2. I don’t think he’s using drugs. I think his erratic, impulsive behavior, and wild spending indicates he’s in a manic spiral. I hope he gets the mental health help he needs.

  3. 40 days whoopdeedoo!! All this drama that her son Aaron is causing is gonna drive her right back to it!!

All this drama should’ve been nipped in the bud a long time ago. She can guilt trip and blame Nick all she wants for Leslie’s death. But I truly feel that is Jane’s fault entirely. Leslie didn’t know any better because she wasn’t taught any better. That’s the problem with parents today, they want to point the finger and blame others when they should look in the mirror if they want to see who the true guilty party is.

    1. Nick actually wanted to go into show business, and according to his book Facing The Music And Living To Talk About It, he also did it as a way of escaping the drama and chaos in his household. Aaron was forced into at 7 years old because his parents saw talent and $ signs. As his father said on House Of Carters, his (Aaron’s) nickname used to be Cash Cow!!

  4. Oh Aaron you can’t be that stupid, can you?? You don’t get booked for shows because someone is “assassinating
your character”. No one wants to work with because you are a liability at this point. Let’s pretend for the moment that Aaron is not on drugs. (Don’t want you to whip your d!ck in IG but that could literally not be your urine so I think it proves nothing) He is volatile as hell, unpredictable behavior and quite honestly weird AF! (See interview he did with the doctors tv show.) He is going to overdose at some point I’m sad to say. He has the money to be seeing doctors and/or psychiatrists. He needs to do that instead of sucking on a bong the size of my bathroom getting face tattoos.

    1. Let me also say that it makes me want to cry knowing this a$$hole just bought a mansion. (Let’s not forget the rec room 🙄)and I’m trying to figure out as a single disabled mother of two how my kids are going to eat.
