Raiven Adams– Ex of ‘Alaskan Bush People’ Star Bear Brown– Demands Sole Custody of Son River, Wants Bear to Have Only “Restricted Visitation”

“Not so fast, Bear!”

Days after Bear Brown confirmed on social media that his two-month-old son River is in fact his biological child, a legal filing by his ex may prevent his efforts to obtain joint custody much more difficult.

According to The Sun, Raiven Adams, Bear’s ex-fiancé and the mother of his child, is seeking sole legal custody of River for herself.

“It is in the best interests of the minor child that defendant Raiven Adams have sole legal custody of the minor child,” the court filing reads.

Additionally, Raiven is seeking “primary physical custody” of River in lieu of Bear’s requested “shared physical custody” and she is asking that Bear have “restricted visitation” with the baby. She is also requesting that the Alaskan Bush People star pay child support effective March 9 (River’s birth).

As The Ashley told you earlier this week, Bear claimed he knew he was River’s father all along, but had to confirm paternity “to further get equal rights to parent.”

Cue Bear singing “Fight For Your Right (To Parent)” deep in the mountains, much to the wildlife’s dismay.

Following the paternity test results, The Ashley exclusively confirmed that Raiven had lawyered up in order to establish a custody agreement and child support schedule.

In the months leading up to River’s birth, things between Raiven and Bear were far from cordial and, in February, Raiven even went as far as to file a restraining order against her ex-fiancé for allegedly using cocaine and exhibiting “erratic” and “abusive behavior.”

“Me? Erratic? NEVER!”

Raiven also stated that Bear’s guns were a concern and that Bear threatened to take their baby away from her if she left him.

“He would use it as intimidation/tell me gun laws don’t apply to him,” she said.

At the time of the filing, Raiven vowed to “fight and protect” her unborn son, stating that he would “need protection from violent behavior,” presumably at the hands of Bear.

Raiven ultimately dropped the restraining order days before River’s birth.

A status hearing has been set for June 22 to next discuss Raiven and Bear’s case. It’s unknown if they will have to personally appear in court.

  1. I wish they would put aside their differences for the good of the child. If Bear pays child support he should be given rights concerning his son. Bear has excellant family support. Please for the sake of your child, work something out so he has both parents.

    1. Sometimes the good of the child is protecting them from the other parent. Bear showed during the pregnancy that that child was of no concern to him by refusing her food and threatening her life on multiple occasions.

  2. This is so sad. That beautiful baby boy deserves to have loving parents who are focused on him. I hope all the adults can come up with a working plan. If Bear needs help to be a functional parent, I hope he gets it.

I think that Rav should let Bear see his son often and I don’t think Bear would say no to child support BUT I am thinking that Rav wanted a baby and she seen an opportunity in Bear knowing he is in the public eye she would get her money. Im sorry I have NO respect for a women that does that to a man just so she can live a different life style.

    1. Bold of you to assume that since there is so very little knowledge of Raiven as a person. You’re opinion is based solely on the fact that he MIGHT have some kind of small paycheck from the network he works with because it’s not like he’s an actual celebrity. SMDH

  4. She shouldn’t have ever dropped the restraining order. Not that they are worth much. What are you supposed to do? Throw the paper at them when they are pointing a gun at you? A restraining order won’t stop a bullet but it looks better for court. If what she says is true, that he is violent, displays erratic behavior and is on drugs than he shouldn’t have any visitation. There have been far too many murders of innocent children on “restricted visits” with the other parent. Someone needs to step in and make sure this baby is safe.

    1. True, but I get the feeling that maybe she dropped it right before the baby was born in hopes he would come and see them? At least his new born son he now claims to have known all along was his but apparently made zero effort to be there when he was born.

      1. You are probably right about the restraining order being dropped for that reason, that’s the only thing that makes sense. I hope they don’t use that against her in court. But, as you pointed out-he has made zero effort with this baby so that will come into play too.

      2. She was perhaps afraid she would get a lot of hate for not allowing him to see his new born son.
People are crazy, she would have received threatening messages and she would have had to fear for her and her son.
I’m afraid she had to choose between two evils.

  5. She shouldn’t have dropped the restraining order. Not that I think they are worth much, what are you going to do? Throw the piece of paper at them when they are holding you at gunpoint? If her claims are true, and he is violent and on drugs then she needs to keep her baby safe. That may mean no visitation. I’ve heard far too many stories of innocent children being murdered when they are on their visitation to get back at the other parent. Someone needs to keep these babies safe.

  6. I don’t want to pick sides, but he’s been coming across as a douchebag and if he actually said that gun rules don’t apply to him… she needs to keep that restraining order and supervised visits request. Sorry, we’ve just seen how way too many privileged white males with guns behave when they don’t get their way.
