ABC & Warner Horizon Announce That Chris Harrison Will Not Host Next Season of ‘The Bachelorette’ & Name His Replacements

…to job offers…

For the first time in the history of The BacheloretteChris Harrison will not be there to let us know when it’s the last rose of the night or to declare the season to be “the most dramatic ever.”

On Friday, ABC Entertainment and Warner Horizon announced via social media that Chris will not be hosting the upcoming next season of ‘The Bachelorette.’

This announcement comes weeks after Chris stated that he was “stepping aside” temporarily from the franchise, following a heap of controversy surrounding comments Chris made during an interview with former ‘Bachelorette’ Rachel Lindsay. During the interview, Chris defended contestant Racheal Kirkconnell when she had been labelled racist due to the resurfacing of questionable old photos.

After coming under fire for his comments, Chris apologized and did not host the “After the Final Rose” episode for Matt James‘ season. (Emmanuel Acho stepped in to serve as host for the episode.)

“Chris Harrison will not be hosting the next season of The Bachelorette,” the companies said in the statement. “We support Chris in the work that he is committed to doing.”

The companies also announced who would (sort of) replace Chris during the next season of ‘The Bachelorette.’

“In his absence, former Bachelorettes Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will support the new Bachelorette through next season,” the statement reads. “As we continue the dialogue around achieving greater equity and inclusion within ‘The Bachelor’ franchise, we are dedicated to improving the BIPOC representation of our crew, including among the executive producer ranks. These are important steps in effecting fundamental change so that our franchise is a celebration of love that is reflective of our world.”

“You clink the champagne glass at the Rose Ceremony and I’ll hose down the driveway!”

While Tayshia and Kaitlyn will be “supporting” the new Bachelorette, it is unknown if one or both of them will also host the show.

During an interview on Good Morning America earlier this month, Chris stated that he wants to return to the franchise and that he intends to.

“I believe that mistake doesn’t reflect who I am or what I stand for. I am committed to the progress, not just for myself but also for the franchise,” he said during his interview with ‘GMA’ host Michael Strahan. “And this is a franchise that has been a part of my life for the better part of 20 years and I love it.”

Chris has not commented on the network’s latest statement.

  1. I think Chris is a douche rocket….But, I do believe the franchise has taken a dump. I did’t watch Matt, nor Tayshia season. It wasn’t the same. I heard what Chris said. Not O.K. But, I think we can all agree that trying to pull off 2 shows during the COVID was a bad idea.

  2. Stupid. Wont be watching. Absolutely CANNOT stand Kaitlyn & dont care for Tayshia either. Surprised Rachel Lindsay hasnt assigned herself as the host. She inserts herself everywhere else. She is THE WORST! This show will bomb & be no more. CH made the show what it is. Wont be the same w/out him. Thanks cancel culture. You suck!

  3. I mean I’m black and I wasn’t even sure about the situation she was in, I don’t have much personal knowledge about the party and what was all involved but I saw that a lot of people were really upset and offended so I knew to at the very least shut my mouth. They don’t have a PR team that advises him?

  4. Yikes…he really messed up. And what’s crazy is the chick he was standing up for is going to come out of this basically unscathed…She’s going to get endorsements to push on her IG, ect, and he’s unemployed with a tarnished reputation.

  5. So, what they are basically saying is it takes two women to do one mans job. If I had a vag i’d be pissed.

    stay lit
