Nathan Griffith is heading to prison.
Starcasm broke the news on Tuesday— and The Ashley can confirm— that the former Teen Mom 2 dad pleaded guilty to a charge of “Battery Constituting Domestic Violence- Strangulation” as part of plea agreement at a hearing on Monday. That charge— which is a felony— stems from Nathan’s arrest in April for strangling his girlfriend Anastasia Biddle. At the time of his arrest, the baby daddy of Jenelle Evans was already on probation for strangling his sister in 2023.
As The Ashley previously told you, the terms of Nathan’s probation for his 2023 conviction were very clear, stating that, if Nathan violated his probation, he will go to prison for between 12 to 48 months. Since catching yet another domestic violence/strangulation charge very much violates his probation, Nathan is headed to prison in Nevada. (According to Starcasm, the minimum sentence for Nathan is now 14 months in prison.)
Nathan was aware that he was going to prison if he violated his probation. When he signed the plea agreement in 2023 it that stated, “I am pleading guilty, including the use of any prior convictions I may have to increase my sentence as a habitual criminal…”
Exactly how many months Nathan will be spending in prison is still to be determined. A hearing is set for May 28 where he will be officially sentenced. Until then, Nathan will remain behind bars at the Clark County Jail. He is scheduled to go to a probation revocation hearing on Thursday.
As The Ashley previously reported, Jenelle immediately took to TikTok to defend Nathan after his arrest, with his former soulmate stating that she didn’t believe that Nathan got physical with his girlfriend, and that Anastasia was just as much at fault for what happened as Nathan was. (Jenelle— who shares son Kaiser with Nathan— even offered Nate a place to stay on the night the cops were looking for him.)
The Ashley obtained the arrest report, as well as the domestic violence report, from the night Nathan was arrested and it tells a different story than the one Jenelle told on TikTok in defense of Nathan.
According to the report, Anastasia told the cops that Nathan had been drinking for the few days leading up to the arrest and that he had “started to become aggressive with her.” (Nathan has been arrested for numerous alcohol-related crimes over the years, and was not supposed to be getting drunk, per his 2023 probation terms.)
“Today [Anastasia] told [Nathan] that they were breaking up and she got in her car to call his mom [Doris Davidson],” the report states. “While [Anastasia was] on the phone with his mom, he came out to the car and took her phone away from her, later giving it back.”
Anastasia stated that she remained in the car and Nathan went back inside the home and called her.
“[Nathan] begged [Anastasia] to come back inside of the house and cuddle with him one last time and [Anastasia] agreed, as long as [Nathan] would leave,” the report states. (Nathan had been staying at Anastasia’s mom’s house with her, by the way.)
“While on the bed laying down, [Nathan] got on top of [Anastasia] and grabbed both of her arms. At one point, he let go and wrapped both of his hands around her neck and strangled her for a couple of seconds. [Nathan] would let go of her neck and grab [Anastasia’s] arms again. [Nathan] repeated this approximately three times. [Anastasia] was finally able to leave the residence and call the police.”
Despite Nathan (and later Jenelle) claiming that he didn’t get physical with her, the cops noted some wounds on Anastasia’s body.
“I observed reddening and multiple marks on [Anastasia’s] neck, as well as reddening on her right bicep area,” the officer wrote. “Photos were taken of the injuries.”
In the weeks since Nathan’s arrest, Anastasia has gone Live on social media several times to declare she’s done with Nathan— and to criticize Jenelle, as well as Nathan’s wife May Oyola for getting involved. (As The Ashley told you, May even called 911 requesting a police escort several days after Nathan’s arrest. The duo went to Anastasia’s house to attempt to retrieve some of Nate’s things but were unsuccessful.)
Nathan’s assault on Anastasia was at least the third time the former ‘Teen Mom 2’ star has been charged with strangling a woman. In addition to his assault on his sister, Nathan was charged with committing “Domestic Battery by Strangulation” in February 2023 for an attack on a girlfriend in Palm Beach County, Florida. (He was dating this girl while “on break” from his marriage to May.) His charges for that incident were dismissed, due to the victim being “uncooperative.”
As of press time, none of Nathan’s trio of former lovers— Jenelle, May and Anastasia— have spoken out about Nathan preparing to head to prison.

The 24/7 gyms in Las Vegas are a little bit safer with this abuser behind bars. There is no doubt that he will eventually murder someone if let back into society.
Men like Nathan will ruin your entire life, please be careful.. they can seem sweet and sometimes you’ll feel sorry for them but they will destroy you eventually
Thankful he did not murder the most recent girlfriend, or any of the others. He belongs in prison forever. I’m angry that he is continuing to abandon Kaiser, just when Kaiser as a young teenager needs him the most. But then, he didn’t do anything when toddler Kaiser was being abused by David, either. Nathan deserves every punishment coming his way.
While yeah, he has a TBI, PTSD, and alcoholism (I have all of these things too, and diagnosed BPD but I have been sober and done every single therapy offered and I take medication), it’s not excuse to behave like this… repeatedly. He’s had plenty of opportunities to get help, yet, he’s done nothing of his own accord (except soulmate hop and work out) to improve his behavior and continues to get worse. He’s a grown adult that needs to take accountability for what he’s done and honestly, he’s been VERY lucky he hasn’t had to go to prison for these assaults on women, until now. He was banking on convincing the newest girl (Anastasia) to drop the charges or not show up to court, but she didn’t- GOOD! Now, May (and Jenelle) needs to remove herself from the situation. She continues to stay married to him and obviously committed to him in a weird way- even though he’s openly been with other women AND he’s assaulted her. She needs to get a clue. Poor Doris- AND Kaiser. SMH

Good. Needs the maximum time. I know he has PTSD and a TBI, but he’s also an alcoholic and I think he was on steroids at one point, both of which are things he’s chosen to do that make his conditions worse. He also doesn’t seem to have ever been trying to actually get help, get on meds, go to therapy, whatever, so at this point, it’s just him.
He if honest to God just couldn’t help acting like this (to be clear, I very much think he can help it and just uses his issues as an excuse) then he should at least have the decency to stay single for his own good.
Well said. He can have all those things (TBI, ptsd, alcoholism) and still just be a $hitty person.
He needs to be in for longer than 14 months. The excuse of he’s a veteran, he has a TBI and PTSD is absolutely no excuse and no reasoning for any of the shit he’s done. He continues to be a danger. He refuses to remain sober, refuses help, and just wants to play victim. It’s everyone’s fault but his own.
He’s finally where he belongs. I always wondered how Nathan kept getting away with slaps on the wrist for the violence he has inflicted on women in his life.
I recently watched the first episode of the show Toxic on ID. A woman’s husband savagely beat her and he only got three months of probation since it was his first offense. Also a veteran getting assistance from the VA – might have also had a TBI but I can’t recall. He did the same to exes but they were probably intimidated by him so they did not follow through with pressing charges.
Shocking. I guess men are allowed to attack their partners and not deal with serious consequences until they have done it enough times. Both Nathan and that other animal will continue to inflict violence on women until they are locked up for good.
How many bites of the apple did he think he’d get? He’s going to prison because he violated probation and physically assaulted someone, again. He’s squandered every chance to he was given turn it around without a long term custodial sentence. He screwed up again when he had run out of chances and now he’s getting locked up.
i hope nathan gets the help he needs but prison time is what he needs and i wish jenelle or at least anyone else in his life would at least try to get him help instead of enabling him because how he is he gonna be any good to himself much less his kids if he continues like this???
He tried to strangle my daughter, his then wife and mother of his first child when she was pregnant. They had a violatile marriage. I have had guardianship of her since she was 18 months old, she’s now 14. We haven’t seen Nathan for many years. It’s very sad to see how things have gone for him. He needs help!!
I was wondering if he had been married to Emerys mom. I figured if he hasn’t seen Kaiser who lived in the same state there is no way he had been seeing his daughter. So was this before or after he went into the military 🪖? I have always thought Jenelle & Teen Mom money made him worse. I was wrong.

I don’t even mean this to be hateful, I know Nathan has brain damage. I don’t know where Nathan ends and where his TBI begins. I try not to judge him too hard because I just don’t know him or his situation. BUT!! I am glad to see he will be put up for a bit. He needs time to think, to work on himself, to heal, to get help, etc. This is best for everyone.
PTSD and a TBI are no excuse for strangling someone. Trust me, he chooses to be violent and was likely this way before the military. I was in the Army for over a decade and know many people with both. They get treatment or they don’t. Nathan definitely deserves to be in prison for a while. Poor Kaiser.
I bet you anything he has zero violent incidents in prison. Somehow his TBI won’t kick in when he needs it to. He beats women I doubt very seriously he would do it to a man. He is a coward.

Jenelle goes for bottom feeders per usual. I just feel really sorry for these kids brought into this mess she’s created.

I also wonder if steroid use was involved since he was so into body building. Alcoholism, brain damage, and possibly steroids, that’s a lethal combination for society. I hope the courts see the undeniable pattern going on here and keep him were it’s safe…in prison for a long time.
I have CPTSD and some other severe mental illnesses. Also psychotic episodes. Most of it is kept under good control with meds and DBT. I know head injury can cause violence, but come on man. I agree with you. I believe he was violent before. Nathan’s choice to strangle is terrifying. I don’t know the statistics In my head, I do know people who choose this method are way more likely to kill. It’s extremely personal and sadistic. My friend had a boyfriend who chose strangulation. He said he enjoyed watching the “life” leave her eyes.

Hopefully this will be his rock bottom & he will finally see he has a problem & work on himself! He has abused too many women & I am glad he is finally getting prison time for it.
