‘Teen Mom’ News Pile: Briana DeJesus Says Neither of Her Baby Daddies Are Involved in Kids’ Lives; Jenelle Evans Slammed for Using Son Jace’s Move for Clickbait & More

“If you spent less time on your hair and more time with your kid, that’d be great. Thanks.”

From profiting off your son’s misery to calling out a duo of deadbeat dads, it’s been a busy week for the stars/former stars of the Teen Mom franchise! In an effort to bring you up-to-date on the latest Teen Mom: The Next ChapterTeen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 news, The Ashley brings you the Teen Mom News Pile.

Here are some of the major (and minor but interesting) ‘Teen Mom’-related things that happened over the last week or so…

Briana DeJesus Vents on Social Media About Her Absentee Baby Daddies

Briana, revealing who her favorite co-parent is…

For the second time in less than two months, Briana DeJesus took to social recently media to update fans on the co-parenting situation with her daughters’ fathers, though unlike last time, the ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’ star wasn’t too kind with her review.

As fans know, Briana shares 13-year-old daughter Nova with Devoin Austin and seven-year-old daughter Stella with Luis Hernandez. While Briana has arguably struggled more to co-parent with Luis than with Devoin over the years, she claimed on social media this week that any time she expresses frustration about either one (or both) of her baby daddies, fans accuse her of “complaining,” though she insists she’s “really not.”

“ … I’m just speaking facts on what’s really going on,” she said on TikTok.

Briana went on to claim that Luis “is not in the picture,” nor is Devoin, who moved from Florida to Michigan last year after accepting a job. (Luis presumably still lives in Florida, where Briana and her daughters also reside.)

“[Devoin] has not seen Nova since Christmas,” she said. “Luis hasn’t seen Stella in two [to] three years.”

While neither Devoin nor Luis are actively involved in their daughters’ lives presently, Briana said she does receive some financial support from both men, though it isn’t “a set thing.”

“They give it to me whenever, like, one day I’ll wake up and I’ll have like $100 [to] $200 for me, for the kids,” she said.

“I’ll be back if the cameras return!”

Other than the (small amount of) financial help she receives from both Luis and Devoin, Briana confirmed that she’s the only parent taking care of her girls.

“Doing pickups and drop offs and just like, doing everything as a whole is so hard,” she said. “And that’s one of the main reasons why I decided to remove my tubes, because it’s like, it’s just a lot. It’s a lot for one person and I couldn’t risk that happening again.”

(Briana underwent a tubal ligation last season on ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter,’ and went on to celebrate the procedure with a themed party.)

“No more club-bathroom-made babies for me! Let’s party”

As The Ashley reported last month, Briana told fans that both Devoin and Luis were “doing sessions” with their respective daughter’s therapist, though she also confirmed at the time that, for the third year in a row, Stella had no interest in inviting Luis to celebrate her birthday. (He did, however, send a gift that Stella had asked for, Briana revealed.)

In the same video, Briana told fans that over time, she’s learned to accept her children’s fathers for who they are, while still holding them accountable for their shortcomings. She also gave both men credit for having “very good careers” and for “dealing through all the ‘Teen Mom’ bulls**t and being able to pull themselves out of the dark.”

Jenelle Evans Ripped for Exploiting Her Son Jace’s Move with Clickbait Article

“Business as usual, eh, Ma?”

Jenelle’s son Jace has once again been shipped off, and the fired ‘Teen Mom’ star decided to use the situation for profit— something that has garnered her plenty of hateful comments on social media recently.

As The Ashley told you, Jenelle’s eldest son Jace was immediately sent to live in North Carolina after he posted private text messages between him and Jenelle that showed her in a very unflattering light. Although Jenelle attempted to defend herself for cussing out her 16-year-old son and essentially calling him a liar, her next move caused an even bigger wave of backlash.

Jenelle recently posted a photo of herself and Jace to Facebook, along with the caption, “Jace moved back to North Carolina. Details below.”

The link posted by Jenelle takes the reader to a clickbait article, similar to others that Jenelle frequently posts to her Facebook page. Jenelle likely receives a commission for each click, and/or if her posts garner a certain number of clicks, etc. A 2017 article by Forbes explained the way these partnerships work.

“The idea, clearly, is to trick users into visit a website that is packed with ads and extract maximum value from their single visit,” the article reads. “Using a verified Facebook account adds a degree of legitimacy to the link, which generate more clicks. This is an age-old influencer marketing tactic, which is often practiced on Facebook owned Instagram and can net thousands of dollars for the influencer.”

Jenelle’s followers did not take kindly to Jenelle using her son’s chaotic life and incidents for her own profit, and let her know in the post’s comment section.

“Imagine being a minor and your mom lets all your personal info be known to the world so she can make some money off of it,” one person wrote.

“Monetizing off of your child’s traumas and life issues that YOU caused isn’t a good look, Jenelle,” someone else wrote.

“You’re doing clickbait for this?” another person commented. “Disgusting.”

“Really sad to put your child on the Internet like this, so traumatic! Just for clickbait, low,” someone wrote.

This is not the first time Jenelle has been criticized for benefitting off of her child’s unfortunate incidents. Back in January, Jenelle was scorched online for posting a clickbait article about her son, Kaiser, being robbed by older kids in a park. Jenelle and her then-boyfriend, “August Keen” were the ones who exposed the incident, which had not been made public before Jenelle posted the clickbait article.

Vee Torres Announces Her Return to the Podcast World Following End of Her & Kail Lowry’s ‘Baby Mamas No Drama’

“Don’t forget to subscribe, Kail!”

Vee Torres is making her return to podcasting with The Chisme Corner with Vee Rivera, a show in partnership with Sonoro, where Vee will talk about identity, motherhood, mental health, relationships, pop culture and more.

As you may remember, Vee– the wife of Kail Lowry’s first baby daddy Jo Rivera– co-hosted Baby Mamas No Drama with Kail until the two confirmed in October that their podcast was ending after four years. While Kail went on to (almost immediately) launch Karma & Chaos with co-host Becky Hayter after ending Baby Mamas No Drama, this will mark Vee’s first return to the podcast world since she and the former ‘Teen Mom 2’ star parted ways.

According to People, Vee’s new show will be a place where she and her listeners can come together, “not just to talk about the headlines, but to really feel what’s underneath them.”

Kail, wishing she had thrown in a non-compete agreement with the NDA she probably made Vee sign.

“Every story we talk about is really a mirror for our own lives – the way we love, grow, heal and sometimes fall apart before putting ourselves back together,” she said. “When I sat down and created this show, I wanted it to feel like sitting with your girls who just get you.

“Whether you’re in your 20s or 30s, figuring it out, a mom juggling it all or just someone trying to make sense of the world, this is your space,” she added.

As for the title of her show, Vee explained that chisme– or gossip– has always been a part of her culture, though she believes it’s something that’s also “universal.”

“Your move, Kail!”

“We all lean on conversations to proceed life, to laugh, to cry and to connect,” she said. “For Latinos and Latinas especially, I hope it feels like home. I want people to know this is our corner, our voice and our stories told in our own way.”

Vee went on to tell the outlet that The Chisme Corner will be a podcast that is honest, heartfelt and real.

“My hope is that every episode leaves you feeling a little lighter, a lot stronger and more connected – to the culture and to yourself,” she said.

The first episode of The Chisme Corner airs September 3.

Vee celebrated her new podcast by posing for some cringetastic photos, which were later posted on Sonoro’s Instagram page.

Jade Cline Shares How She Ended Up on ‘Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant’ Despite Not Being a Teen Mom

“As long as it came with that jumbo ‘Teen Mom’ paycheck, I was in!”

While fans of ‘Teen Mom’ often bring up the fact that Cheyenne Floyd managed to score a spot on the long-running franchise despite being in her twenties when she welcomed her first child, Jade Cline reminded fans recently that she, too, was well out of her teen years when she was asked to join ‘Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant.’

After being asked about her college experience on TikTok, Jade explained to fans that she did, in fact, attend college for a period of time before joining the ‘Teen Mom’ franchise and that she was actually 21 years old when she and then-boyfriend (now husband) Sean Austin welcomed their daughter Kloie.

“And little did we know that we had created a human AND a lucrative career!”

“So immediately after high school, I went to college,” Jade said. “I moved away my freshman year, did the whole dorm experience.”

Jade went on to claim that because the town she was living in was “meh,” she decided to move back to home to Indianapolis for her sophomore year of college. The summer between her freshman and sophomore year is when Jade said she became pregnant, at which point she was 20 years old. It’s around this time that she came across a casting call on MTV.com that caught her eye.

“I’m assuming you saw the casting call for ‘True Life: I Have the World’s Best Mom.'”

“I see this casting call and it fit me to a T,” she said. “It was like, ‘Are you a freshman or sophomore in college having your first baby? Do you plan on getting a degree or being an entrepreneur?’ … [It was] the vibe of, like, moms can have it all, even though you’re younger, you’re still wanting to live your best life … that was the whole vibe of this casting call.”

Jade said she ended up applying to the casting call, claiming that it “spoke to” her, and eventually received a call from the network, followed by two Skype interviews. After the video interviews, Jade said MTV then set up a “practice shoot” with her and her family.

…and the rest is history/long-lasting trauma.

“ … What’s so crazy is our ‘practice shoot’ was the pilot for ‘Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant,’” she revealed. “So like I said, I had no idea this was a ‘Teen Mom’ show [I was going to be on]. I didn’t really watch ‘Teen Mom,’ I didn’t know much about it. When I applied, I had no idea what the show was called. They didn’t even tell us the name of the show until a week or two before it actually came out.”

Jade told fans that she was surprised to learn the title of the show, largely because she was not a teenager; however, it was explained to her that, despite being the oldest person on the cast at the time, she was still considered a “young” mom.

Still, Jade said being cast on a show that had the words “teen mom” in the title was definitely unexpected.

“That was definitely a shocker to us, for sure,” she said. “ … Being on the show, everyone assumes that I [was] a teenager, which makes sense because the name … .”

“Cry me a river guys. Those checks still cash!”

While Jade wasn’t a teen mom, she maintains that she “was definitely too young” to be a parent.

  1. Wasn’t it YOUNG and pregnant? Not Teen Mom that Jade started on?

Bri is the only one of the franchise who has taken control of her fertility and openly admits she made shitty decisions resulting in these children and recognises she doesn’t want a repeat. She deserves a pat on the back for that.

I can’t wait for Jace to write a book. Only 2 more years before he’s approached I reckon.

  2. When Bri is not lying about Devoin not seeing his daughter (not online either?) and not paying what he can, I’m very disappointed in him.
He was doing so well, with both girls.
Did the job not work out?

  3. “They give it to me whenever, like, one day I’ll wake up and I’ll have like $100 [to] $200 for me, for the kids,” she said.”

$100-$200 for child support? How many times a week?

  4. Oh girl please let the man see his child!!! You and your family are the problem here!!!! Then again you are more than likely lying so you can have all the attention just like you have done in the past (who can forget your 16 and pregnant episode whenever you were pregnant with Nova!!!) You are not capable of saying the truth!!!! It’s time that you go and look for a REAL JOB (since a former coworker of yours has admitted on Instagram that YOU haven’t been working for the past several years!!!!!) and STOP RELYING on the checks from the show there is going to be sometime in time that the show will be cancelled!!!! Stop opening your legs for men that you just meet(who can forget you having sex on national television on TMFR!!) then you cry about catching a STD, going on exotic vacations by yourself and stop buying your photo props expensive stuff and taking them to places especially iIF they supposedly have serious health issues!! And GTFU!!!! You are 31 years old!!! You are still acting like that you are a spoiled, narcissistic, bully, psychopath !!!!!

    1. And there it is. Devoin moved across the country and it’s Brianna who isn’t letting him see Nova?? He isn’t on child support and is a gambling addict, but you’re claiming that she’s blowing her money?

Where is Devoin’s responsibility in any of this? Why hasn’t he filed for visitation rights? He is also 31, right?

        1. I don’t think she is capable of understanding what words and diagnoses truly are. She is not a “psychopath” or “narcissist.” People like to throw those words around. A true psychopath is extremely dangerous.

      1. I agree. Briana is not the most likable person from what I’ve seen. I don’t know her personally, so whatever. It’s not about her though. The kids need to be supported by both parents. I used to like Devoine. I felt bad for him. Not anymore. They’re both bum ass losers. It’s an awful thing for Stella and Nova to have a father/father figure to just up and leave. Kids internalize that stuff.

    2. I think Brianna is a good mother. Her family is a bit chaotic and she might be a little wild with the guys, but you can be all kinds of things and still do other things well. She’s always seemed to love and care for her daughters. And work to provide. And no matter her flaws, she can still be a good mother. Which she is.

  5. i genuinely don’t get why people get more upset with briana than devoin when even he has said he could be a better father, if they really wanna fight to praise the bare minimum then they also have to praise adam, ryan and andrew 🤷🏻‍♀️

about time jade or someone points out that she wasn’t a teen mom either, i get so annoyed when people do that with cheyenne but don’t call jade out or even ashley for that matter who had just turned 20 when she had holly

    1. Yup. Everytime Brianna mentions the reality that Devoin isn’t actually a good parent, people jump all over her. He gets so much credit for doing less than the bare minimum because he’s likeable and is nice to Stella. Meanwhile, he has never been an active parent, never consistently paid child support, and is happy to pop up to be Fun Dad when he feels like it. Nevermind the incident where he was drunk while he was supposed to be supervising Nova at the pool.

Say what you will about Brianna (and there is a lot to say), but she is the only parent consistently showing up for those kids.

  6. Honestly good for Briana for getting her tubes removed. Don’t care for her usually but this is a responsible decision on behalf of the kids she has.

  7. I dont understand why its so hard to have tubds and not get pregnant… I have yet to be pregnant and im getting close to 40 years pregnancy free🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

    1. Maybe Briana knows that if she gets horny, she’ll forget to take precautions. Some people are really fertile too.

    2. Ummm…lots of people are so fertile (as we’ve seen with various people on “Teen Mom”) that it takes *nothing* for them to get pregnant – sometimes despite the use of birth control. Consider yourself lucky that you are not one of these people and that being so has kept you from being in a position where an unexpected pregnancy is something that you are faced with. Honestly, you seriously don’t know that this is the case after watching the show and/or seeing/reading about it by now?

    3. Birth Control fails all the time. Not to mention, every body is different. Some people are unable to use birth control. Or choose not to pollute their bodies with additional, unnecessary hormones. She took a very appropriate, adult way to make sure that she doesn’t have any more children. What’s wrong with that?

      1. You can STILL PREGNANT if you tied your tubes I know someone who got pregnant after her third baby just turned 4 months old!!!

    4. I had my tubes tied TWICE (with a reversal in between) and got pregnant with #5 after the second tubal ligation. The clamps are still tightly in place on each side – I had a pelvic laparoscopy for something else and he checked. He wasn’t the Dr who did any of the surgeries, but he delivered the baby so knew the whole story. My husband had a vasectomy & 16 mos later still had live sperm.

Just like some struggle to get pregnant, some struggle to NOT. Some people can get pregnant no matter how many precautions they take. As Ian Malcolm from Jurassic Park said: Life finds a way 🤷🏻‍♀️

I know your intent was to be judgy of the Teen Mom gals, but it chaps my ass bc there are plenty of people who did all the right things or made all the right choices and yet, pregnancy still occurred. Obviously there’s a lot of pregnancies that do occur due to failure to plan or prevent, but you were seeing to be saying the equivalent of if you’d just be *responsible* for your own birth control, this wouldn’t have happened.

Maybe just give it some thought … our own experiences are actually not indicative of what is the norm or most typical. They’re simply our own experiences, and too many variables to say that everyone else’s should or will be just like your own.

      1. I had my tubes removed. There is obviously no risk of pregnancy. It also helps protect you from ovarian cancer somehow. I ended up having a hysterectomy. The drs told my husband that he would never father a child. We have 2 kids now. I think I’ll go find the dr and tell him to pay their college tuition.
