Who needs to squabble in the SUR back alley when you can literally air your grievances on your very own podcast?
While attending Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea Awards on Tuesday, Scheana Shay took multiple opportunities to fire back at Lala Kent and Katie Maloney for recent comments the former Vanderpump Rules stars made about her on their respective podcasts– both of which, stemmed from the release of Scheana’s memoir, My Good Side.
As ‘Vanderpump Rules’ fans know, Scheana and Lala have been close friends (as well as Palm Springs neighbors) for years, with both making the jump to The Valley in the wake of the ‘VPR’ cast shakeup. According to Bravo, however, things between the BFFs hit a snag shortly after Scheana’s book was released in July, with the “Good as Gold” singer even calling out her pal on an August episode of her Scheananigans podcast for failing to promote My Good Side until a week after the book hit shelves.

When asked recently on Amazon Live about the rumored rift, Lala downplayed the situation, telling fans that she would let “Scheana Scheana”– a response that Scheana “really didn’t like.”
“You know, I really didn’t like that, if I can be honest,” Scheana said on the VRT Awards red carpet this week. “I feel like, I love her so much, but it’s like, the subtle digs that I see and I’m like, ‘I don’t really like that.’”
Scheana went on to accuse Lala of not “taking accountability” for the reason “Scheana is Scheana-ing at the moment.” When asked about the feud again later that night on stage, Scheana admitted that she and Lala have a habit of discussing their issues publicly, but never addressing them one-on-one.
“Friendships ebb and flow and what’s so weird– and I do talk about this on my podcast that comes out on Friday– is the fact that we will talk about each other on our [respective] podcasts and that’s how we converse,” she said. “We don’t text, we don’t call each other … why can’t we just have a conversation about the real issue, which she knows what it is.”
She also claimed that the tension between them hasn’t kept their daughters from hanging out together– at least not yet, anyway.
“It’s like, we’re good … I mean, at least for this year while the kids are still going to the same school,” she said. “When kindergarten starts, who knows … .”
Scheana ended the conversation by claiming it was “TBD” if viewers will see the issue between her and Lala play out on the upcoming season of ‘The Valley.’
Lala wasn’t the only former ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star to catch heat from Scheana this week, as Scheana also took an opportunity on the red carpet to respond to Katie for claiming last week on her Disrespectfully podcast that she was better at reality TV than Scheana.

“Better when she was building Legos and knitting?” Scheana said of Katie’s remarks. “I mean, I don’t agree with that statement, but I do address this on my podcast on Friday.”
Much like Lala’s feud with Scheana, Katie’s also stems from My Good Side, with the Something About Her owner telling listeners last week that she decided to speak out about certain contents of Scheana’s memoir after learning that Scheana wrote that Katie going to Mexico with the cast in Season 9 was “a new low.”

As viewers may remember, Scheana and husband Brock Davies’ 2022 nuptials were filmed for the show, and while Katie wasn’t invited to the event, she (and castmate Kristina Kelly) still ended up traveling to Mexico with the rest of the cast. Katie claimed on her podcast that prior to the trip, “Scheana– for months– was panicking” because Bravo told her they weren’t going to film her wedding, despite the majority of the cast planning to be in Mexico for the ceremony.
“ … when Scheana and I ended up having all that drama [in Season 9], one of the producers was like, ‘So here’s the thing, you have to go.’ He’s like, ‘I sold [Bravo] on filming Scheana’s wedding because I’ve sold it as there’s going to be two trips happening,’” Katie claimed.
While she never told Scheana that her agreeing to go to Mexico was what ultimately convinced Bravo to film her wedding to Brock, Katie said that Lala heard her conversation with the producer and could vouch for what went down. She also claimed that she didn’t speak about the situation until now because she’s good at her job, unlike some people.
“ … I don’t spoil the behind-the-scenes stuff, I don’t make producers’ lives hard,” she said. “That’s why I’ve never been demoted– unlike Scheana. So I’m better at my job than you were and I didn’t want to be an a**hole. Believe it or not, I feel like an a**hole now talking about it. But if you must know, you must know.”
