Shekinah Garner of “90 Day Fiancé” has allegedly been profiting off of an offensive comment she made to a fellow castmate on a recent episode of “90 Day: The Last Resort,” and it seems that she’s looking to increase those earnings moving forward.
As viewers saw last month on “90 Day: The Last Resort,” Shekinah and costar Thais Ramon got into a heated argument, during which Shekinah screamed at Thais to “go back to your country”– a remark that did not sit well with the show’s other stars or fans.
While Shekinah’s remark was shocking enough, her decision to now commercialize the comment is certainly…a choice.
According to @staceychats on Instagram, Shekinah recently told followers via her Instagram Story that she had earned more than $5,000 in two weeks by creating personalized videos for fans that feature her saying the infamous “go back to your country” dig. Shekinah explained that she’s been able to earn this catchphrase coin through Cameo and even posted a screenshot of her recent earnings from the site, which showed a wallet balance of $5,536.81.

(While Shekinah allegedly claimed that her recent Cameo earnings are from people who’ve request that she use the “go back to your country” phrase, it’s unknown how much money she’s actually earned from those specific videos. She currently charges $28 for a Cameo video.)
Shekinah is also reportedly planning to trademark the “go back to your country” phrase and has already designed a line of T-shirts featuring the comment in various languages, which she plans to sell to fans. The TLC star noted in her Instagram Story that she will be shipping the tacky tees worldwide.

One person to who was not happy to hear about Shekinah’s decision to make money (and merch) off of her wounding words was Thais, who left a comment on @staceychats‘ Instagram post about this.
“She’s a [liar],” Thais wrote. “Embarrassed herself on national television and now wants to act like she’s on top. Next time need to Pop her like a balloon lol.”
The news of Shekinah’s latest business venture comes less than two weeks after she defended her comment on social media and blasted “90 Day: The Last Resort” producers for not protecting her during the on-camera altercation with Thais.
“‘Go back to your country’ means go back to where you doing this is allowed,” she wrote. “Cause where I’m from, it’s not. Her husband [Patrick Mendes] recently called the police on her with fresh scratches on his face because where we are from, you get ARRESTED for behaving that way.”
(The Ashley has reported extensively on Thais’ domestic violence arrest and her ongoing feud with Shekinah. Get more details on the arrest here.)
Amid her lengthy rant, Shekinah noted that show’s security had quickly stepped in when her soon-to-be ex-husband Sarper Güven actually got physical with castmate Guillermo Rojer on the episode. (Watch a clip of the altercation below.)
“My theory is that producers wanted to appease the large ever-hating Shekinah fans by letting me get my ass beat,” she claimed. “They were going to LET IT HAPPEN. So I refused to film with [Thais] again because I now knew I wasn’t being protected and she was clearly unpredictable, unhinged, and violent.”
As The Ashley previously told you, Shekinah revealed on social media last month that she will not be returning to the “90 Day Fiancé” franchise in the future, claiming that she felt like “this chapter is closing” for her.
“I’m going to move on with my life and I don’t want this to define me, it doesn’t define me … ,” she stated on Instagram.
The following week, Shekinah reiterated that she will not be returning to the TLC franchise, claiming that “the show did not protect [her]” during her near-physical fight with Thais and insisting that this was “not what [she] signed up for.”
New episodes of “90 Day: The Last Resort” air Mondays on TLC.
