After defending her decision to tell Thais Ramon to “go back to [her] country” during a heated on-camera argument, Shekinah Garner is now blasting 90 Day: The Last Resort producers for not protecting her.
As The Ashley reported on Tuesday, Thais and Shekinah nearly came to blows on the latest episode of “90 Day: The Last Resort” over an Instagram unfollow and Thais’s husband. (Seriously.) After Thais almost slapped Shekinah, Shekinah responded by calling her co-star the c-word and telling her, “Go back to your country! You suck!” As a result, Shekinah spent Tuesday morning defending her choice of words on social media while maintaining that Thais was in the wrong for getting physical with her.
“‘Go back to your country’ means go back to where you doing this is allowed,” she wrote. “Cause where I’m from, it’s not. Her husband recently called the police on her with fresh scratches on his face because where we are from, you get ARRESTED for behaving that way.”
(The Ashley has reported extensively on Thais’s domestic violence arrest and her ongoing feud with Shekinah. Get more details on the arrest here.)
Early Wednesday morning, Shekinah went on another Instagram rant, this time aimed at production and show security– who recently stepped in during an altercation on 90 Day Fiancé before it escalated.

“I [received] tons of DMs of [people] asking why security didn’t step in and help me while I was being attacked,” she wrote. “I would love to know this also. I was literally looking at security right in the eyes as they SAT at the other end of the bench I was on, and you can see and hear me shouting at them, ‘Get this b*tch out of here.’ They didn’t move.
“In a follow-up meeting about it, producers told me security was waiting for a cue from producers to step in, and the producers were under the impression that security would step in when they saw fit,” she continued. “So it was explained as a ‘miscommunication.’ This miscommunication could have cost me the loss of an eye or permanently being disfigured if it wasn’t for my husband who was helping to block the swings.”
Shekinah also brought up that security quickly stepped in when her soon-to-be ex-husband Sarper Güven actually got physical with Guillermo Rojer at the end of this week’s episode. The incident occurred when Guillermo approached Shekinah and Sarper outside following the altercation with Thais to ask what happened and to explain that the group was, to put it lightly, not pleased with Shekinah’s comments. Sarper then pushed him away, causing a brawl that was cut off just as Sarper swung as Guillermo’s face. (You can watch a clip of the altercation below.)
“My theory is that producers wanted to appease the large ever-hating Shekinah fans by letting me get my ass beat,” she wrote. “They were going to LET IT HAPPEN. So I refused to film with [Thais] again because now I knew I wasn’t being protected and she was clearly unpredictable, unhinged, and violent.”
Shekinah explained that the cast’s contracts stipulate that “physical altercations” result in termination from the show, but when she asked for Thais and her husband Patrick Mendes to be removed, production said by that logic, they’d also have to get rid of Shekinah and Sarper.
“I was fine with going home,” Shekinah claimed. “I wanted to! Sarper and I had serious conversations about doing so. Ultimately, I followed his lead and stayed, but nothing was the same after this.”
Shekinah reiterated that she will not be returning to the “90 Day Fiancé” franchise after this season because “the show did not protect [her]” and this was “not what [she] signed up for.”
“[Production] knew they were dealing with fragile marriages on the verge of divorce, yet they put us on two shows that [were] so inappropriate and sexual,” she wrote. “Not what I signed up for and I’m disgusted by all of it and regret my involvement.”
Her final post read, “Once my b*tch side is activated, I don’t regret a single word I said. I said what I said, so go cry in a corner. I know the amount of grace and forgiveness I gave before, so don’t act like it came out of [nowhere].”
While many fans are showing her support, Shekinah’s “90 Day: The Last Resort” castmates are blasting her online for her comments.
“I was trying to play peacemaker,” Paola Mayfield commented on a clip from the argument. “Then she said that… and I immediately clocked out. You’re on your own, sis.”
“I’m always grateful [any time] someone wants me to be informed about what’s being said while I’m not in the room but ultimately, I absolutely cannot and do not support xenophobic bullsh*t,” Kara Bass wrote.
When Shekinah previously made comments demanding for Thais’ deportation, Kara, Paola and “90 Day Fiancé” alum Yara Zaya defended Thais, calling her “one of the most genuine, kindhearted people” they’ve met.
Thais and Sarper have not commented on Shekinah’s recent comments, but Sarper did announce Wednesday that he will be hosting comedy shows in New York City this month, with the proceeds to benefit co-star Jenny Slatten’s ALS treatment.
New episodes of “90 Day: The Last Resort” air Mondays on TLC.
