Just when we all thought she was done…Shekinah Garner took to Instagram this week to discuss her 90 Day: The Last Resort experience, as well as her castmates and soon-to-be-ex-husband, Sarper Güven.
For those out of the loop on Shekinah’s shenanigans as of late, here’s a quick recap of how we got to this point.
Shekinah and Sarper appear on Season 3 of ‘The Last Resort’ (alongside four other couples from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise), where they’re giving their relationship one more try before calling it quits for good. (Which they now have.) Throughout the season, viewers have seen Shekinah start feuds with almost all of the women on the show, though her most notable incident was with Thais Ramon, which The Ashley has reported on extensively.
In short, after a brief screaming match and an attempted physical brawl, Shekinah told Thais, “Go back to your country! You suck!” Shekinah has since defended her actions and accused production of not protecting her from Thais, who was recently arrested for slapping her soon-to-be-ex-husband, Patrick Mendes.
Earlier this week, Shekinah took to her Instagram Story to answer some fan questions about her life and the show, including why “most of the cast” seemed to have a problem with her.
“[They’re] low quality individuals,” Shekinah claimed, before going on to ask followers to share with her why they believe the cast “had an issue” with her. (Shekinah did not publicly share any of these responses.)
She was also asked her opinion on the other Season 3 couples and their relationships, with Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh– who she called “two angels”– being the only couple to receive a shining review.
According to Shekinah, Paola Mayfield– who she dubbed “Pow”– “tries to act so big [and] bad as a tough wrestler but really it’s just a mask for a sad little person with a weak character.” Shekinah also claimed that Paola’s husband, Russ Mayfield, is “also weak” and is “too weak to leave [Paola].” (Earlier this month, Shekinah called Paola a “heifer” for participating in a sexual game with Sarper on 90 Day: The Last Resort–Between the Sheets.)
Shekinah continued to call out Rebegga Rebecca Parrott for “emotionally and verbally” abusing her husband, Zied Hakimi, who she thinks is “too scared to leave” Rebecca. As for Guillermo Rojer and Kara Bass, Shekinah insisted the pair’s relationship has “been done for long” and asked for fans to “leave them alone now.”
“No more tears left to cry…LITERALLY,” Shekinah wrote.
Finally, she (for once) did not have a lot to say about Thais and Patrick, writing only, “I think we all know what happened here,” along with a police car emoji.
Shekinah did, however, address the setup from this week’s episode that put her and Thais (and their husbands) together for a group therapy exercise. (For those who missed it, this week saw the couples finish their camping trip, only to be brought to the edge of a quarry. To improve their communication, each couple repelled down the side of the quarry, with one partner going down the cliff and the other directing them down via walkie-talkie. Two couples participated at a time and, unsurprisingly, Shekinah and Sarper were paired up with Thais and Patrick.)
The end of this week’s episode teased an argument between Shekinah and Sarper over the exercise because, in a moment of fear, Sarper helped guide Thais down the quarry so she wouldn’t get stuck or fall. Shekinah compared this act to “helping out someone who assaulted [her],” and alleged that producers “one million percent” manufactured the situation with Sarper and Thais.
“You’re watching REALITY TV,” she wrote. “They are so predictable. Every set up is such an eye roll for me ‘cause it’s so painfully obvious what they are trying to do.”
Shekinah insisted there are people from the “90 Day Fiancé” franchise who support her following her blow-up with Thais, but claimed “they are supposed to stay neutral.” Finally, she told fans that she cannot share if she will be involved with this season’s Tell-All, which will be her last. When asked if she will ever appear on TLC again, Shekinah posted a photo of her dog and wrote, “Adonis and I have declined all future involvement with said network.”
While she claims she’s done with all things “90 Day Fiancé,” Shekinah got into it with Sarper on social media last weekend after Sarper posted a photo to his Instagram Story that showed him at an IV hydration lounge after experiencing heat exhaustion in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
“I have so many questions,” she commented. “Like, did he set up a tripod and turn on a timer for the pic? Did he ask a ‘nurse’ to take it and if so, how many takes before he found the one that looked ‘bad enough’ to post? What kind of IV goes in your nose? Is this a med-spa or hospital? Hope he got the attention he was looking for.”
Sarper responded by posting a screenshot of Shekinah’s comment and calling her “pure evil,” prompting Shekinah to post his story with her own response.
“Hmmmm am I evil or am I just reacting to your abuse and calling you out on your sh*t, Sarper!?” she wrote. (While Shekinah previously claimed that Sarper has never abused her and has insisted that she was “never a victim,” she has since subtly backtracked those claims.)
“Let’s not forget I defended this man, put my life on hold to bring him to the US, let my own [business] suffer just to make his thrive, swallowed my hurt and embarrassment over being the butt of his jokes constantly, and rode HARD for him IN GENERAL just to get discarded once he got a little fame and money,” Shekinah continued. “Sorry but it’s VERY hard for me to feel bad for users and abusers.”
Sarper has not since responded to Shekinah’s posts, nor have any of her ‘The Last Resort’ co-stars.
