“90 Day Fiancé” Couple Jenny Slatten & Sumit Singh Respond to Rumor That Jenny is Hospitalized Amid ALS Battle

Jenny and Sumit are addressing the hospital hearsay…

Jenny Slatten and husband Sumit Singh are setting the record straight in response to a recent rumor that Jenny has been hospitalized amid her amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) battle.

On Monday, the 90 Day Fiancé fan favorites posted an update on Jenny’s health, during which, Sumit assured followers that Jenny– who revealed in May that she had been diagnosed with ALS in late 2025– is still able to walk and talk at this time, and “is not depending completely” on him or anyone else, despite rumors on social media claiming otherwise.

“What you see on some [social media] pages, some people are posting that she’s on a hospital bed and unable to do anything, which is a lie and Jenny [doesn’t] like that,” Sumit said, adding that he and Jenny remain hopeful that they will find a “solution” to alleviate some of the symptoms Jenny is now experiencing as a result of ALS.

As The Ashley told you last week, Jenny’s daughter Christina Cuevas revealed that Sumit has begun the process to obtain an emergency tourist spousal visa that will allow him to travel to the United States with Jenny from India– where Sumit is from and where he and Jenny reside– in order for Jenny to receive “more [ALS] treatment using her insurance.” In his and Jenny’s update video on Monday, Sumit told followers that he’s trying to “expedite” the visa process, despite the challenges he’s expecting to encounter while doing so.

“ … It’s not like we are staying idle,” Sumit assured fans. “We are trying, but I believe it’s hard for [an] Indian to get an American visa, but still, we are trying our best [and] hoping that I will get the visa soon.”

Later in the couple’s video, Jenny– whose speech has grown increasingly slower in recent months– optimistically told fans that she’s currently doing “okay.”

“ … I talk slow but I’m able to take care of myself … with help from [Sumit],” she said, to which Sumit added, “Yeah, I’m always there for her.”

Last week, Jenny’s daughter Christina shared on Instagram that hand weakness is now preventing her mom from opening water bottles or anything that has a twisting cap.

“She said she’s still able to hold her phone and [hold] a drink, but as far as opening something, she can no longer do that,” Christina revealed.

Jenny’s daughter also told followers that she will be traveling to India in a couple of weeks “to assist Sumit” in his visa process, despite the TLC star having yet to receive a date to go before the Indian consulate. Christina explained that, in the event that Sumit receives his visa and is able to accompany her mom to the U.S., she wants to ensure that “everything goes smoothly” for the couple and that traveling is “easy for them.”

While coming to the U.S. will allow Jenny to utilize her health insurance, the couple continues to receive donations through a GoFundMe launched by their friend in May to help with growing medical expenses. At this time, supporters have donated more than $100,000 to the online fundraiser.

Fans can watch Jenny and Sumit on the current season of 90 Day: The Last Resort, with new episodes airing Mondays on TLC.
