Former & Current Reality TV Stars Turning to OnlyFans to Sell Adult Content to Subscribers: A Look at the New Trend

“Who wants to pay to see me do something I may regret one day? No, I’m not talking about another season of Unexpected.”

With some reality TV stars choosing to forgo a career in the public eye that requires a network camera crew, accounts on the subscription service OnlyFans are becoming increasingly popular.

For those unfamiliar with OnlyFans, it’s a subscription-based social media service where content creators can share photos and videos with their “fans” for a profit. Content creators can receive funds from their “fans” through tips and pay-per-view features. While the site describes itself as a “powerful and useful tool for YouTubers, fitness trainers, models, content creators, public figures and influencers,” it’s most commonly known as a place to sell adult content…and reality stars from 90 Day FianceUnexpected and more shows are jumping at the chance to show their naughty bits for some extra quarantine cash!

One of the reality TV stars to jump on-board is McKayla Adkins of Unexpected. After revealing earlier this year that she had not been asked to return for another season of the TLC show, the 19-year-old single mom has turned to OnlyFans as a way to earn some cash — and according to McKayla, the profits are helping her take care of herself and her kids.

“Oh sorry, was I supposed to financially contribute to our children?”

“Y’all hating on me for making an OnlyFans acct,” McKayla tweeted in April. “I’ve made well over my rent already and have plenty of extra cash.. lol brb buying Timmy and Grace some new clothes and shoes.”

Earlier this month, McKayla took to Instagram to address her haters further, revealing that she understands the negative response to her OnlyFans account, but assured her followers it was something she “thought about extensively before starting.” McKayla went on to explain that since starting the account, she has felt more confident in herself.

” … In theses past few weeks I’ve felt more beautiful than I ever have before,” she wrote. “I also see my body in a way I never have before. I look at all the things I used to hate and now I think they’re beautiful. I overall feel more confident with myself, I also view other women’s bodies differently… .

”  … Before OnlyFans I had a really negative outlook on other women who post their body, I’m so frustrated with myself for feeling that way now,” she continued. ” … just bc you’re a mom doesn’t mean you have to hide your body. If you’re confident and want to show yourself off, do it. If you want to wear a sexy outfit and go out, do it. If you want to post a sexy picture, do it. Live YOUR life the way YOU want to … .”

I understand the negative response to my onlyfans account. I’ve also thought about it extensively before starting my account and now that I’ve been doing it for a few weeks I wanted to talk about my experience. If you’re going to start reading this with a stubborn outlook, do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time reading. In these past few weeks I’ve felt more beautiful than I ever have before. I also see my body in a way I never have before. I look at all the things I used to hate and I now think they’re beautiful. I overall feel more confident with myself, I also view other women’s bodies differently… I feel like we’re all beautiful in our own way and we should all love and appreciate our bodies the way we were each individually made. Before onlyfans I had a really negative outlook on other women who post their body, I’m so frustrated with myself for feeling that way now. Why is it so looked down on? If I were to post a picture in a binki the response would be far more positive than if I were to post a picture in my bra and underwear, why? Let’s support each other instead! I want to quickly say thank you to everyone who has subscribed to my onlyfans and everyone who has supported me on this new journey. Lastly, just bc you’re a mom doesn’t mean you have to hide your body. If you’re confident and want to show yourself off, do it. If you want to wear a sexy outfit and go out, do it. If you want to post a sexy picture, do it. Live YOUR life the way YOU want to. If you made it this far thanks for reading and hopefully I could open your mind to thinking differently. Don’t judge people especially if you wouldn’t want to be judged yourself. Onlyfans: kaybabes69 (link is also in my insta bio)

While McKayla has since removed the comments from her post, Starcasm reports that she had responded to some of her critics before doing so. In one of her replies, McKayla confirmed that her family does know about the OnlyFans account; in another, she defended herself after a commenter accused her of showing off her naked body “for everyone to see” as a way to get attention.

“I didn’t lower my standards, I gained self love and acceptance of my body,” McKayla replied. “Weird people follow my pages were there isn’t nudity, I can’t keep the creeps away from all of my social media sites.”

Just wanted to update you guys on some things… I’ll start with YouTube, I’m honestly not sure where I want to go with my channel but as of right now I have no motivation to post, along with no motivation I have no idea what to post. A @zaful try on haul will be going up v soon but other than that I have no idea. I don’t want to post things specifically targeting mom things bc I’m not just interested in that anymore. As for my other social media.. things will be staying the same. I Post the most on my onlyfans acct. so if you want to be on my most used acct that would be it. Hopefully I can get the motivation to post more on YouTube but if I do I’ll be switching some things up. Keep in mind I grow up like everyone else and get new interests and I would love to share those with you guys. I think I’m going to keep doing little updates like this, I actually enjoy typing all this shit out and get my feelings out there so we’re all on the same page regarding posting Hope you’re all staying healthy and safe during this weird time. 💛

As before, McKayla’s message was met with mixed reviews — some criticizing her for selling her body for cash.

“Obviously [YouTube] isn’t paying good money anymore, heaps of [YouTubers] are now selling [their] body for cash,” one person wrote. “@mckaylaadkins why would you post inappropriate pictures of yourself,” another commented. “Have some respect for [your] own well-being.”

Others, however, commended McKayla for pursuing something that makes her happy.

“Love seeing you grow and turn into such a confident woman,” one follower said. “Keep doing what makes you happy, you deserve it!”

Subscriptions to McKayla’s OnlyFans account start at $7 a month or fans can take advantage of her discount offer of 4 months for $14.70. Also, “fans” interested in buying gifts (aka lingerie) for her are invited to do so by shopping her Amazon wish list.

Along with McKayla, former ‘Unexpected’ star Laura Barron had turned to selling “premium content” via OnlyFans, though the mother-of-two (who just revealed she’s expecting her third child) has since deleted her account.

Laura, promoting her OnlyFans profile on social media before deleting her profile.

Before shutting down her page, Laura’s profile featured a bio with an unnecessary play on words, a link to an Amazon wish list consisting of a vibrator and some video games – ya know, the necessities – and an alleged sex tape featuring her husband, Tylor Strawmyer

While McKayla and Laura are the only moms of ‘Unexpected’ who have joined OnlyFans at this point, they’re not the only cast members to be featured on the site — Rilah Ferrer‘s mom, Rosa, has launched an account on the platform as well, making her the first grandmother of the reality series to do so. A subscription to Rosa’s account — which consists strictly of photos at the moment, in case you’re wondering — will cost $20 a month.

Rosa, ready to take requests from creepy fans online…

The moms and grandmas of ‘Unexpected’ are joined by plenty of other former reality TV stars on OnlyFans, including Bachelor in Paradise star Chad Johnson, who has taken to the platform as a way to make a profit recently. According to Daily Mail, after a domestic violence arrest cost him career opportunities and some sponsorship deals, Chad decided to start using the subscription platform to share adult videos.

Chad and his girlfriend, who reportedly has an OnlyFans account of her own, claim to be earning more than $40,000 a month between the two of them.

Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley caught some of her followers off-guard this month when she shared on Instagram that she had started an OnlyFans account for herself. (She also tagged Beyoncé in her post after the singer name-dropped the website in a remix that was released the same week.)

Given the sort of content the site is known for, some of Dorinda’s followers quickly jumped in the comments, assuming Dorinda was misinformed of what she had signed up for. (Again, not all of the content featured on OnlyFans is NSFW.)

Earlier this year, 90 Day Fiancé star Larissa dos Santos Lima announced last week, according to The Blast, that her OnlyFans account is coming “soon.”

“Would your subscribers be interested in some premium cat content? My female kitty is currently in heat!”

Meanwhile, Evelin Villegas, another member of the “90 Day Fiance” family, has already launched her OnlyFans profile, much to her fiancé Corey Rathgeber‘s dismay.

After fans began reaching out to Corey to let him know the profile existed, he addressed the issue on Instagram, assuring his followers that he does not agree with it, but for now, he is “not going to talk about it.”

In a weird twist, Corey then opened his own OnlyFans account. His first post to the page— which came on Thursday— stated that he is “excited to get to know you all personally.” Follow-up post include pics with the caption “Shower Time,” so we can use our imaginations as to what the premium content entailed.

One reality TV personality whose presence on OnlyFans will likely surprise no one, is the Backdoor Teen Mom, Farrah Abraham. For just $9.99 a month, “fans” can subscribe to checkout her exclusive backdoor content.

I am kind of surprised that Laura made one. I am not judging at all but she just seemed so timid on the show.

they arent charging enough. they are on tv. if they cant get at least 6 grand a month I say it isnt worth it. they should try and do public appearances.

the first reality stars who posed nude got bashed. now all of them are. some of these people should kept it to themselves.

  4. At least the kids will get to see where they came from. I am sure it is empowering and all because #feminism #dontneednomantopaymybillsbutpleasepaymybills #dilatingdragondildo #prolapseforrent

  5. McKayla, it’s a wonderful thing to love and accept ones body. but how does that justify selling it to a bunch of guys to j*rk off to? i don’t see the connection…at all!

people…live and let live….until your life choices hurt your innocent children. and if you think your naked pics and sex videos posted for the world to see won’t hurt them, you’re delusional.

  6. This just seems really short-sighted to me. Sure, make a little cash now (it surely doesn’t seem like a lot) but then what? These girls have their whole lives ahead of them. What will McKayla do when her grandparents are no longer around to take care of her and give her everything she wants?

  7. LOL, this site is just for people who have no talent at all and want to use the thing everyone has…their own naked body. I was never interested in seeing someone who I love (mostly favorite actors because those are REAL celebs) naked though so maybe I just don’t understand the hype.

  8. What about the bullying their kids will endure once the pictures get passed round school one day?
Luckily those pictures look so heavily photo shopped they’re mostly unrecognizable. Maybe they’re hoping to be on a new season of catfish?

You can talk about body confidence all you want but what about teaching kids that your body is yours, not for creepy old men on the internet to leer at? When your child think that’s normal it’s worrying.

It’s so dangerous that Sophia in particular is growing up with these warped values.

    Okay, rant over 🙂

  9. OMG that picture with Coleys mom, I’m dead!

But other than that, these people are not thinking ahead. They will be turned down for other jobs and gigs and the bit of money they make with their account now will be nothing compared to the money they will miss out on later.
Except for Farrah, she clearly choose a porn career. Her getting fired from Teen Mom because of that is a good example of what I mean. She lost around 300K per season, maybe more. 4 seasons is 1.200.000 pre tax.

  10. It always makes me giggle out loud that Farrah thinks she is a celebrity.
Also is there a part of her body that isn’t plastic? …also uh…why not just Google her “stuff” for free since her body & rejuvenation are already out there?

Poor Corey fell so hard. He’s trying to get her back by making his own…unfortunately for him she doesn’t care. Dude, there are a ton of fish in the sea. You can’t make a whore a housewife.

  11. I hope this site is out of business within a month because every single one of them (minus Dorinda Medley) are qualified for absolutely nothing in life. Also why am I not surprised Farrah is on this list, actually if I can be amazed and confused by a bunch of Farrah speak it might actually be worth it.

  12. Yes, this may be buying their kids clothes and shoes. But there is no reason these people can’t get a job. What happened to raising kids with morals or self respect? Or encouraging hard work or *gasp* college education?! Tons of parents are struggling, but this is just classless and ridiculous.

  13. As much as these people are dressing up Only Fans as body positivity is still seems so ‘icky’ and full of pervs checking out T & A.

I guess people want money without work….love to see where they are in 20 years time with no job skills.

Z list reality stars saying they’re making tens of thousands a month from this…unless you’re Beyonce I find that hard to believe.

  14. Sometimes I wish I was the kind of person that could forgo all my morals to make a few dollars, but I can’t.

Also, isn’t Tylor in the military? Isn’t there some code of conduct that him appearing in porn on his wife’s site breaks? Just curious.

    1. Talked to the guy I’m dating about this because he’s in the Navy. After he made fun of me for watching the show, he confirmed that 100% he could get kicked out for this.

  15. Please, McKayla is selling her body to buy her weed! She is allergic to getting a real job as is everyone else mentioned! I would be mortified if I had my Mom posting soft or hard porn on the internet! Can you imagine going to school trying to explain that?

  16. So in other words, they would even pose naked for some pics for a couple of bucks than get a real job. Losers.
