Still Together! Mama June Shannon Photographed with Geno Doak After Revealing Their Rehab Stay on ‘Family Crisis’; Geno Comments On His Weight Gain

“They dynamic duo is back together, y’all!”

Friday’s season finale of Mama June: Family Crisis left fans guessing as to whether or not Mama June Shannon has remained sober since the episode was filmed…and whether or not she’s still with her bad news boyfriend Geno Doak.

This week, June and Geno seemed to answer both of those questions when they were photographed together near a Florida rehab clinic. The (formerly?) gruesome twosome strolled hand-in-hand for photographers, looking healthier than they have in months.

The photos were taken one day before the ‘Family Crisis’ finale aired.

On that episode, Geno and June revealed that they had blown $150,000 on cocaine in six months, with June admitting that she and Geno could easily go through a couple of ounces of crack cocaine a day, resulting in a whopping $3,000 per day habit at its peak. June also admitted that snorting crack further contributed to her blindness.

“I started snorting it, lost my vision, and then I quit and then I went into using … just smoking crack,” June shared. She revealed her drug of choice “has to be cocaine crack.”

(June has battled vision issues since birth. During a 2018 episode of ‘From Hot to Not,’ she revealed, “I was born with cataracts and nothing was ever done. I went blind in my right eye four years ago and now my good eye is really bad.”)

During the season finale of ‘Family Crisis’, June ended up ditching out on the outpatient rehab program that she had agreed to go to, but eventually she and Geno both ended up attending an inpatient 30-day rehab facility. Earlier this week, Dr. Ish Major— who has been helping June and her family during this season of ‘Family Crisis’— confirmed that both June and Geno checked into rehab earlier this year.

“They went in very discreetly, very quietly, once they hit their rock bottom they went to a treatment center in Florida,” the doctor told The Sun. (On the finale, it was revealed that Geno and June were not allowed to see each other while they were in rehab.)

“They say distance makes the heart grow fonder…or sumpthin’!”

“We made it through inpatient together, so we’re just gonna make a fresh new start for us,” June said during the finale.

June has been attempting to get herself back into shape in recent months. She and Geno both underwent dental makeovers in April, and June has been posting on social media that she’s trying to shed some of the weight she has gained since her original TV makeover several years ago on ‘From Hot to Not.’ Geno has also added some heft to his body in recent months, causing fans to comment on social media that he looked “clean and healthy,” something Geno confirmed via Instagram comments back in March.

Last week, Geno posted an Instagram photo of himself on a scale (which stated that he currently weighs 303 lbs.) He attributed the weight gain to getting clean and “coronovirus” (which we can assume he means eating more while in quarantine).

“Oh my God I just got a scale today,” he wrote. “Between June and I getting clean and the Coronavirus we totally need to lose some weight and this is not our combined weight this is only mine.”

He told a person in the comment section that, “I get high off a good workout but COVID19 has made that a bit difficult too. However I feel good about my recovery. Thanks for the support.”

While Mama June has stated that her family is getting another season of their reality show, WEtv has yet to confirm if the show will be renewed for a fifth season.

  1. I dont believe the amount of money spent was on cocaine. I call them out for blowing the money in casinos while doing coke.

  2. Geno is soooooo different when he sober. I hope June has realty check and thanks pumpkin and her lucky fucking stars that she kept such good care of Alana.

  3. I really don’t understand why so many people use the virus as an excuse to gain weight. I actually lost weight during the quarantine here and I’m still losing it. Because I know in order to avoid frequent trips to the grocery store, I need to conserve food as much as possible. Which means eating less than I did before when every day multiple times a day we went to the shops. I know food is consoling for some people though (I admit it, it was for me in the past, I still have to use a lot of willpower not to eat everything I see because that’s the kind of person I was when I was bullied in my school days…the bullying got worse, I gained more. That’s how it worked.)

    1. I didnt dv you but I will answer the first part.

I cooked every damn day of lockdown. I cooked breakfast/brunch/lunch and dinner. Courses of dinners. Meats, potatoes, veggies and rice. Desserts. Homemade teas and lemonades. Milk- based soups.

I’ve easily gained 10 lbs, if not more. It literally was “sitting around eating”, meals were the main highlight of the day!

I’m more active now, the past month or so. I walk more, walk the dog more.

We definitely did not conserve food. I had a surplus in my freezer that we slowly waded through. Stuff we didn’t know we had– cook it up!

Next time, It’ll be different. I’ll make more of an attempt to get up and moving.

  4. Way to go June & Geno staying clean is no easy task my hopes and prayers are with both of you that you can get on your feet and be together and definitely get your family back in your lives

  5. IDK a whole lot about drugs.. I thought crack was the “poor man’s coke” ?? So hth is it possible to have a $1k-$3k a day habit? Their memories must be fubar’d too? Or they were sharing with “friends”? At any rate… I truly hope they’re both for real and able to get (and stay) on the right path. I’m sure it’s not going to be an easy road. The one thing that bothers me after seeing this episode.. We’ve heard all this bad stuff about Geno; June’s family has blamed him for everything. Making it seem like he’s forced her down this path. But what I, myself, saw and heard was more remorse, shame, guilt, and the desire to actually fix things with the kids, coming from Geno NOT Mama June. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t see him as innocent in this. But after hearing her constantly blame the courts for her going to rehab and not even acknowledge the hurt she has caused her children, I’m having difficulty seeing Geno as this all powerful mastermind drug pusher. 🤷 just my observation.
And… Pumpkin….. YOU are an amazing human being!!!! You’re doing a beautiful job with your sister! You really are an inspiration to me. OH!! And you handle Jennifer beautifully! 😜 keep doing what you’re doing girl. You got this!

All I can say is that I hop Pumpkin has her mother in a good Insurance.
I have seen no humility or shame for what she had done to Alana. Her only interest seems to be what she can do to keep Geno.
She seems to have a blockage in her brain that causes her to forget that she has an underage child.
Even tho Pumpkin is young, she is the most responsible person to have custody over Alana.
Mama June needs a couple more months in treatment.

  8. Free dental make overs while as a single mom I’m busting my ass to pay for cavities fillings. Our world sucks

    1. Ain’t that the truth? Cavities are expensive too! Not only free dental makeovers but she’s literalky blowing up her nose $3000 a day! Can you imagine what us single moms could do with $3000 a day? I almost can’t imagine it or I’ll go stuff my face in a vat of cookie dough ice cream and I can’t cause I’m on keto!🤬

  9. If they’re still together, they’re still using. I don’t watch this show, but from what I’ve seen they are an incredibly disgusting, toxic, sick relationship. This whole honey boo boo nonsense is the perfect example of “fame” and money completely ruining a family.

What’s strange is that the most recent pic, they are obviously in the same rehab facility parking lot. Geno is carrying the adidas overnight bag , so I’m wondering if they have went back because of possibly relapsing during the lockdown. Or just for a checkup, but in Friday’s pic it’s definitely banyans parking lot they are in.

I don’t understand why they are showing this dysfunction on TV and giving them all this time and money (which they are smoking away)… People with the worst behavior get glorified on TV and then society wonders why its going down the toilet. SMH

    1. Apparently they did a bunch of it. Homedude looks like a world-class snorter. Didn’t you see those busted up hotel rooms.

  12. They’ll gain weight. Then they’ll have plastic surgery for a show.then the cycle starts from the beginning. Drugs. Weight Gain. Plastic surgery. WTH!!!

  13. Awwww isn’t it so sweet when a toxic couple becomes addicted to crack, get arrested, go to rehab together, get “clean” (for the time being) all while remaining in a solid relationship 🙂 NO it’s not. Them being clean and healthy is obviously a good thing but they should not be together. They’re both addicts who enable and feed off each other’s addiction and when they relapse (which they absolutely will) it might be worse. But honestly, idk how June can be any worse of a mother than she already has been. I mean, she dated her ex bf (fresh out of prison) who was sent in for molesting her daughter as a child. After that, none of the horrible life choices she makes shock me

    1. Their poor hearts….that large amount of crack cocaine mixed with obesity….

I dont think either one will stay sober because it must be an independent thing (not done together). If one falls off the wagon, both will. They are very codependent. Its recommended to stay single for at least the first year of sobriety for a reason.

You can’t snort crack, you smoke it.
