“90 Day Fiancé” Star Deavan Clegg Reflects on TLC Experience; Alleges “Many of the Cast Members” Contemplate Suicide, Herself Included

Deavan Clegg of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is reflecting on her reality TV experience, alleging that it was one that caused her and other cast members to “almost take their lives.”

Deavan, who is currently in the process of divorcing husband Jihoon Lee, took to social media with a lengthy post in which she called the past two years “the hardest I’ve ever experienced in my life.” While she thanked the Korean film crew who worked on “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way” for their kindness and loyalty, Deavan said she wished she “could say the same about Sharp” – the production company behind the show.

“ … This experience has taught me so much.. although grateful for the opportunities this show has brought the greater lesson I’ve learned is how evil some people can be,” she continued. “The truth of reality is dark and evil. Fake scenarios taken from real life to ruin many peoples lives.”

Deavan went on to address the toll reality TV takes on cast members’ mental health, stating she hoped the most recent season of “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way” was one Sharp Entertainment could learn from.

“My heart goes out to the many people who have taken their lives this year due to reality TV going too far,” she claimed. “I hope this season has taught Sharp a lesson.”

Deavan accused the show of cutting a lot of the footage that had been filmed for the second half of the season, claiming that “a lot of over the line things” bring “many of the cast members to almost take their lives” — herself included.

“This experience took me to a dark place I never want to revisit,” she continued. “But I also met amazing people in Korea who helped me through this time. I hope future cast members are treated fairly and not as money bags or other puppets … .”

“Listen closely, Sharp!”

In September, Jihoon claimed Deavan previously threatened suicide if she had to stay in Korea. Jihoon made this allegation in a series of Instagram Stories in which he also denied allegations of abuse against Deavan’s daughter, Drascilla.

“While I was at work, I suddenly got a call from Deavan,” Jihoon wrote. “She said she would kill herself if I didn’t let her leave for America with my son, [Taeyang]. So while I was working, I headed home to comfort Deavan. The next day I scratched my card and sent Deavan to America. My parents said they’d take care of the children if she left them, but it might be hard. She said she would take the children with her.”

Jihoon said the incident resulted in him losing his job. Shortly after, Deavan allegedly claimed Jihoon abused her daughter and then she “demanded a breakup.” A month later, Jihoon said “another man was imitating Taeyang’s father,” referring to Deavan’s current boyfriend, Topher Park

Just last month, Deavan sat down for an interview with “90 Day Fiancé” blogger John Yates, during which she confirmed she was “a hundred percent done” with TLC and also blamed the show’s producers for her daughter’s allegedly difficult behavior.

Deavan also revealed she and Topher are working on a documentary set to be released in December or January that will focus a lot on creating her boyfriend’s magazine, as well as the couple’s home life, “tragedies in reality TV” and more.

  1. Yet, you continue to use the show for some more fame and fortune.

    STFU already.

She’s making serious allegations about a lot of things including suicide. TLC/Sharp better unleash their lawyers on this delusional “victim.”

  2. Oh Deavan- the eternal victim (eyeroll). She seriously needs to just stop. Drascilla AKA Dracula, CLEARLY had behavioral issues BEFORE the show even started. My children have ADHD and I don’t make excuses for their behavior- it is up to ME, and then ulltimately, them. Once we started therapy, behavioral modification and medication and they are completely different children now. Deavan needs to take some time alone- for herself AND her children- instead of jumping from one “daddy” to another. She has dragged both children back and forth from here to Korea in a VERY short time, and then was in a new relationship AND introducing her children to a new guy within a month of leaving Jihoon. I imagine that Drascilla’s behavior is due to wanting her mother’s attention and she just isn’t getting that, which exacerbates the issues she clearly has. It’s just sad, really.

  3. Honestly I couldn’t stand her on this show. If not for Jihoon I would have fast-forwarded through her segments. Her daughter had behavioral issues before she met Jihoon and she should have been focusing on getting her help before she had another child, especially under the circumstances that she did have a second baby. Deavan and her mom are both on another planet and the dad seems happily heavily medicated LOL. I feel bad that Jihoon can’t see his son because he clearly loves that child and I would not my son being raised by Deavan and her family. Also, she has no right implying that other people involved in the show are suicidal, that is just wrong because even if someone were it is not her place to make it public.

  4. When I first watched the couple’s saga I thought Jihoon was such a child in a grown man’s body. All of Deavan’s complaint’s were founded. Jihoon was so about himself. Then there were the mothers. OMG! WHY IN GOD’S NAME WERE THEY GETTING INVOLVED, ESPECIALLY JIHOON’S?! As time went on, it seemed like Jihoon was trying to do better. His father was siding with son and trying to subdue his EXTREMELY OVERBEARING WIFE, UGH! The romantically underdeveloped Jihoon is forever doomed with Deavan and that was almost clear from the beginning. Deavan found a much more compatible partner with Mr. Topher, but to fill in as a “father” to Jihoon’s son is WRONG and to make abuse claims against Jihoon? Plus, to keep COMPLAINING and COMPLAINING and COMPLAINING and COMPLAINING.. is this to keep in the limelight until the new show is produced? Or until the boyfriend’s career takes off? Or until Deavan and Topher is a household name? I’m losing interest and fast. This is the last article about Deavan and/or Topher and gravely ill daughter I’m going to read, but I’ll read about Jihoon. At least he’s genuine and real.

  5. Or maybe it’s the easy money from reality tv shows and thirst for fame that ruins people’s lives? 🤔

  6. Honey, if you are truly having thoughts of harming yourself, you need to call your doctor right now. Leave the kids with your mom and go get help. Otherwise, you are VERY young with two little kids and no daddies in sight to help you. Take care of your kids and get it together. The kids need stability and attention. It’s not all about you anymore— that’s just what it is to be a momma.

  7. She needs to STFU already.

For someone who doesn’t want anything to do with 90 days or any reality tv, she sure loves to get more than her 15 minutes of fame by continuing using them.

  8. This woman is exhausting. She is very emotionally draining because she always sees herself as the victim. Never mind that she is victimizing her own kids by moving them back and forth across the world and introducing them to foreign cultures, languages and inlaws. Then she snatches them up from that and introduces them to a “new” daddy and wash rinse repeat. She needs a good psychiatrist because her attention seeking has reached a sad and frightening level. She is the mother of two small kids having suicidal ideations. She doesnt need sympathy. She needs a therapist in all seriousness.

  9. This girl is so desperate and pathetic! Get off social media and go take care of your kids…brush your daughters hair and teeth. Get on birth control before you have another child you can’t support.

If you’re suicidal, talk to a therapist!
