Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s Girlfriend Saffire Matos Reportedly Made 911 Call That Led to ‘Jersey Shore’ Star’s Recent Arrest; Police Allegedly Saw Visible Marks On Her After Physical Fight

This all feels eerily familiar…

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was arrested last week for domestic violence and TMZ reports the Jersey Shore star’s girlfriend was the victim in the incident.

Law enforcement sources told the site Saffire Matos called the police that night after she and Ronnie got into an argument that allegedly turned physical. After officers arrived and spoke to both parties, it was determined that Ronnie was the aggressor.

Saffire reportedly had visible marks on her body when the police showed up responding to her call for help; however, according to TMZ, this was one of multiple observations that landed Ronnie in the slammer.

Me, pretending to be surprised by this news.

Days after Ronnie’s arrest ,Saffire— whom Ronnie introduced as the new Jen lady in his life back in October— took to social media seemingly downplaying whatever happened between the two, claiming there was “a lot of misleading information floating around” and insisting that she and Ronnie were “fine.”

Ronnie’s attorney, Scott Leeman, said in a statement that the “incident of last week” is still be investigated and he has “not received any of the police reports.”

“Therefore, we will continue not to comment while our investigation is still ongoing,” he said. “As we have all learned in the past, initial reports can be and are often incorrect.”

While the recent domestic violence allegations against Ronnie are still being looked at, the ‘Jersey Shore’ star has a history of this kind of behavior, as he is currently on probation for a 2019 domestic violence incident involving Jen Harley, the mother of his 3-year-old daughter, Ariana.

A judge may consider Ronnie’s recent arrest a violation of probation and the incident could also hinder his time with Ariana, as he and Jen currently share custody of the child.

Ronnie recently spoke out on his arrest, thanking the friends who stuck by him. He also took the time to call Jen out on her alleged cocaine use, but quickly deleted his Instagram Stories post about Jen.

  1. He gets arrested for DV (again)…Jenn gets arrested for DV (again) with a firearm….where TF do they think their baby is going to end up if they keep this bullshit up? Cause they’ll use these arrests against each other in court, and they’ll BOTH lose custody, THEN WHAT?! Time to grow up!!!

  2. The guy is clearly a douchebag who’s 15 minutes is over. He needs to get a job ( besides the stupid Jersey Shore Family Vacation) and a meaningful life for his daughter.

  4. Like after the first DV arrest Ronnie should have sort counseling. He should have put in the work to control his angry and seek healthy relationships. It’s obvious at this point he doesn’t see the problem with his behavior or he would have done something about it by now.

  5. That poor little girl. Wow. I don’t understand how while he is taking care of his baby he gets so angry he physically attacks his girlfriend. Unfortunately I think these type of men never change. They just meet partners who disguise it and deal with it like this girl. Perfect example Dr. Dre, a known abuser, married that woman divorcing him now some years ago and everyone thought he was a changed man, divorce comes around and surprise surprise she says he has physically assaulted her as well. So sad

  6. JFC Ron. Be an example for your beloved daughter, who is going to find out about all of your violent arrests at some point in her life.

  7. I dated a guy who, from the very beginning, was upfront with me about his (previous) anger issues.

Because he’d been forthcoming about his past and the work he’d done to overcome it (and bc he was also devastatingly handsome, charming, charismatic, etc), I felt like he deserved a chance.

We spent a *lot* of time together over the course of a few months and I never saw any indication of violent tendencies—until one night, literally out of the blue, he lost it on me over a pizza order.

I’ll spare you the details, but he spent the following weeks sending flowers and gifts and leaving multiple daily messages at my home and office (these were the days before cell phones and social media).

When I finally consented to speak with him, he tearfully begged my forgiveness and promised it would never happen again; thankfully I had enough self-esteem to say, “You’re right, that will never happen again—I will never give you the opportunity to treat me that way again.”

I was exceedingly fortunate that he wasn’t also flat-out crazy, bc that could have had a very different ending. My point is, I believe everyone deserves a chance—but just one.

Ronnie clearly has not changed and no matter how genuinely sorry he is, no matter how convincingly he promises it won’t happen again, it *will* happen again. I hope that girl has enough self-worth to walk out, while she can still walk.

  8. Well, duh! Of course it was the new girlfriend. She was scared enough to call the police, and she had visible marks on her. AND, Ron did this while he had his three-year-old in his custody! Who was supervising and caring for the baby while Ron was attacking his girlfriend?? How disgusting. The girlfriend needs to get out NOW, and Jen needs to ensure that Ron does NOT have unsupervised visits! Ron is violent and has no judgement.

    1. Jenn is no better! She was just arrested for DV (again!) and this time it was with a loaded firearm! That poor baby isn’t safe with either one of these psychos!!! So sad!

  9. I think we can all agree that this is a horrible situation and it is very serious. But this is a gossip site so I have to say dear god, Jen’s face is so intense. The brows, the teeth – it’s like she wants to punch us in the face with ‘beauty.’ It’s kardashian-esque – she spends a whole lot of time and money to make sure her face is in ALL CAPS at all times. To people who are attracted to actual human beings, it’s off-putting af.

  10. Between his inability to not engage in domestic violence and her alleged drug abuse, their daughter has a slim chance of not ending up in fister care. Is there no capable and willing family member to take physical custody of her, in order to prevent her from being placed in a stranger foster home? So sad. They need to get their shit together. Also the current girlfriend’s public post read from the domestic violence victims playbook. So sad, predictable, and ridiculous.

  11. This poor girl. 😞 The fact that his physical abuse has appeared in this relationship much sooner than the others indicates truly just how much danger she is in. Someone close to her needs to get her out now.
