After two kids and two engagements, Javi Marroquin and Lauren Comeau have officially tied the knot.
The former Teen Mom 2 dad and ex-husband of Kail Lowry announced the big news on social media over the weekend, with he and Lauren both sharing photos from their beachside nuptials along with their wedding date– April 24, 2025.
Lauren and Javi revealed in the comment section that while they did legally tie the knot last week, they’re planning to have a wedding reception this summer to celebrate their union.
“We had a small ceremony with the kids, my dad, and our pastor this past week in Florida and will do a reception with friends & family this summer 💛,” Lauren wrote, with Javi telling another person that last week’s event “was private” and “just our family.”
(As fans of ‘Teen Mom’ know, Javi shares 11-year-old son Lincoln with Kail; he and Lauren are also parents to son Eli and daughter Maizee, who was born in May.)
Lauren went on to provide some additional context about who attended last week’s celebration while responding to another comment.
“ … We were already going on a trip with my dad, my mom wasn’t there & [Javi’s] mom was supportive,” she wrote. “She has already experienced the firsts with him and we wanted this to be small and intimate with just our kids and my dad to walk me down the aisle.”
Back in October, Javi revealed on social media that he and Lauren had gotten engaged in October 2023, but had kept their proposal a secret for a year. The proposal took place at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas and was witnessed by Lincoln and Eli.
The October 2023 engagement was the second for the couple, who have shared a long history full of break-ups, make-ups, a broken engagement and a public cheating scandal. (‘Teen Mom 2’ fans likely remember Kail throwing Javi under the bus years ago for inviting her to partake in some…activities at the WaWa gas station.) Javi and Lauren were later involved in a domestic dispute that ended with Javi calling the cops on Lauren in July 2021.
Despite their ups and (many) downs, Javi and Lauren gave their relationship another try a few years later and in June 2023, Javi sold his home and moved in with Lauren. The couple announced Lauren was pregnant with their second child in late 2023.
At the time that their (second) engagement was revealed, Javi and Lauren were reportedly planning to get hitched in June 2025 in Delaware, though it appears this may be when they’re planning to have their wedding reception.
As The Ashley previously told you, Javi and Kail reunited in March to record an episode of Kail’s Barely Famous podcast, during which the exes revealed that Javi– who’s a recruiter in the United States Air Force Reserve– has been stationed in Virginia, and as a result, will be moving out of Delaware this summer.
Kail and Javi revealed that as far as co-parenting, their son Lincoln will continue living with Kail during the school year and will spend the summer with Javi. They also noted that the discussion would be revisited in a year, at which point, “what Lincoln says” is how the agreement will proceed, meaning that Lincoln would have the option to move to Virginia with Javi and see Kail only during school breaks.

Anyone who marries someone who’s cheated on them or someone who has hit them is pathetic. This is not a happy thing, it’s sad! I feel sorry for those kids

I personally think the cheater is the pathetic one.
Good thing it’s not your wedding goofball so who cares why they did it like that. Makes perfect sense why ppl who wanted to marry on a beach could afford a couple ppl to tag along and not an entire wedding party. Hence having the reception in a home state where everyone can attend and it not cost an arm and leg.
Some men (and women alike) are super messed up but they don’t want to be. They screw up just like anyone else does. And sometimes the right person comes along and sticks by them while they become better. Some people are just strong like that. Not everyone wants to run off and give up because it’s hard. Some people take pleasure in growing alongside their chosen person. It’s really creepy the way some people get too invested in other couples lives.
Give it a rest already, Javi.
This is not some grand love story, nor is it a redemption arc. The world does not need any more children who are repeatedly exposed to domestic violence. While Javi’s face is very punchable, it does not excuse the fact that Lauren hit him in front of their son. A son, who was also in the home as his father was banging another chick in his mother’s bathroom.
Lauren will be cheated on again and she will hit Javi again. Their toxic relationship cycle will continue.
It’s called an opinion. If they didn’t want other people’s opinion then live a private life! It’s not hard to do.

How a person can get past their significant other cheating with their friend.. downstairs, in their home, while you slept upstairs, and the additional cheating scandals afterwards is beyond me.
Because THATS what a marriage is. Not cheating. It’s non specific. Marriage is literally promising to stick by a person no matter what they do, what does wrong, or how they change. People get married with the expectation of a lifelong honeymoon and that’s not real life. There will be really bad times and really good times. You could have 10 great years then 5 that are so bad you almost get divorced 6 times. People change and when you promise to love a person til you die, you promise to stick around no matter who they become. That’s the exact definition of marriage.
They weren’t married when he REPEATEDLY cheated. Marrying someone doesn’t mean you have to put up with blatant and repeated disrespect of your person, your home and your son.

Good for them! I’m happy for them. After all they’ve been through, they made it here. That’s what a real marriage looks like. The one you stand by no matter how ugly things get. I’ve been married 10 years and it is NOT for the weak. You have to have a strong commitment to make it last.
