Another Duggar has said “I do.”
According to documents circulating on social media, Johannah Duggar– the sixteen child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar– is officially off the market after tying the knot with David Swanson.
Twenty-year-old Johannah and her 23-year-old husband reportedly wed on Thursday, September 10 in Omaha, Arkansas. The couple’s ceremony was officiated by Noel Cwenar, who is listed as a minister at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Rogers, Arkansas. (Fun fact: Noel is also the father-in-law of David’s sister, Lily, who has appeared on ‘Counting On.’)
As The Ashley told you last month, Johannah and David had filed for a marriage license on September 2, so it was presumed that the two were planning to get hitched within the next 60 days. As it turns out, they waited just eight.
According to the Facebook page Duggar Family News: Life is Not All Pickles & Hairspray, some of Johannah’s siblings who reside outside of Arkansas– including Jinger Duggar Vuolo, who lives in California– were in Arkansas last week, so it’s presumed that they were in town for the Duggar-Swanson shindig.
Speaking of which, Johannah and David’s union marks the second Duggar-Swanson wedding for Jim Bob & Co., as Johannah’s older brother Josiah Duggar has been married to David’s older sister Lauren Swanson since 2018. (This would’ve been the third joining of the Duggar and Swanson families had it not been for James Duggar’s alleged failed engagement to David and Lauren’s sister Lydia Swanson.)
Johannah’s new husband has also been around the Duggar Family for years and even made a few appearances on the Duggars’ TLC series when he was a kid.
While Johannah– who was the second of the Duggar kids to be born on the trusty Duggar birthing tarp TV– is among the youngest of Jim Bob and Michelle’s blessings to get married, she isn’t the first to do so at the age of 20. Johannah’s older (legally impaired) brothers Josh and Joseph Duggar were both 20 years old when they said “I do” to their respective spouses, Anna and Kendra.
Meanwhile, siblings Joy Duggar Forsyth and Justin Duggar hold the record for youngest Duggars to marry, with Joy tying the knot with husband Austin Forsyth at the age of 19, and Justin marrying wife Claire Spivey at just 18-years-old.
Currently, 25-year-old James, 22-year-old Jackson and 19-year-old Jennifer Duggar are the only adult Duggar siblings who are unmarried. (Jordyn is 17, while youngest Dugg-et Josie is 16.)
