Just months after her daughter Anna Cardwell passed away from cancer, Mama June Shannon has revealed that she is facing a health scare of her own.
The Mama June: Family Crisis star opened up about her health this week on Instagram Live, telling her social media followers that she has discovered two “lumps” and is having difficulty breathing.
“I want to know what is going on with my chest because I can’t breathe, there is a lump in my back, there is a lump in the top part of my chest,” she told fans, according to Metro.
June, who was joined by husband Justin Stroud in the video, said she would be undergoing a mammogram to look into the issue, though she fears it could have something to do with her heart.
“That’s what scares me, it’s on the same side as my heart,” she explained. “I don’t have heart issues, I had an [electrocardiogram] and a heart scan done.”
(An electrocardiogram– also known as an EKG or ECG– is a test used to quickly detect heart problems and monitor the heart’s health, according to Mayo Clinic.)
“I don’t know what’s going on, I don’t know if it’s something to do with the [breast] implant on that side,” she continued. “I don’t know if it has something to do with the lymphedema I have on that side.”
(Lymphedema is tissue swelling caused by an accumulation of protein-rich fluid that is usually drained through the body’s lymphatic system. Lymphedema most commonly affects the arms or legs, according to Mayo Clinic, though it can also occur in the chest wall, abdomen, neck and genitals.)
June claimed that, while she’s been dealing with these health issues for some time, she didn’t seek medical help sooner because she was focused on taking care of Anna, who passed away in December at the age of 29.
“It is affecting my everyday life; it was affecting my life even when Anna was alive,” she said. “I put myself aside. When my health issues really started getting bad with this, Anna was still alive and Anna would tell me to go get tested.
“I was so wrapped up in taking care of Anna and spending time with Anna that I had put myself to the side,” she continued. “It’s just got worse and now it’s got to the point where it’s an everyday [issue] … walking through Walmart, it does get me out of breath.”
Despite documenting her weight-loss journey years ago, June revealed that she has “been 250 lbs. for over three years,” before admitting to her followers that just talking on Instagram Live made it difficult for her to breathe.
“I don’t know what that is,” she added.
As The Ashley previously told you, June also faced a series of mysterious health issues in September 2022 when she was hospitalized for “severe headaches and dizziness.” June revealed in May of last year that she continues to suffer from those symptoms, as well as a few others, including “not being able to think” and “not being able to see straight.”
(June is also legally blind due to an untreated cataracts from her childhood, though she has stated that her vision was further damaged by all the cocaine she snorted back in her druggin’ days.)
It’s unknown if June’s mysterious health issues will be discussed on the upcoming season of ‘Mama June: Family Crisis,’ which premieres next month on WEtv.

She spent many years inhaling, injecting and ingesting every drug she could get her hands on. She spent the same amount of years ingesting any food and alcohol she could get her hands on.
Any and all health issues she might actually have (most of these are made up, but some are real) can be attributed to A-heavy drug and alcohol use, and B-the fact that she’s fat, unhealthy and has never taken care of herself. She never took care of her kids either, which is why all of them have various health issues as well (not all can be attributed to her lack of care, but many can, science doesn’t lie).
I do not, in any way, feel sorry for her. This is just another of her “woe is me, no one cares about me, give all the attention to meeeeeeeee” rants….POS.

Also you have PLENTY of health problems, you are a recovering addict and legally blind but you are fighting for custody of your granddaughter instead of let her be with her sister and the man she considers her father? Who is supposed to take care of her if you can’t even go to the grocery store?
