Seven years after a pair of Haileys battled on ‘Unexpected’ Season 3 for the love of Matthew Blevins— the guy who impregnated them both— two out of the three people in the love triangle are back in the news!
Hailey Tilford (aka “Hailey 2”) is facing backlash after asking fans to donate to her online fundraiser, which she started to raise money to pay for her fiancé Zak’s vasectomy reversal surgery. Hailey 2— who shares son Levi with Matthew— stated that she and Zak hope to be able to have more children. (Zak has two kids of his own currently.) However, fans were not having it, slamming Hailey 2 for asking for money.
Her GoFundMe gaffe comes just days after Matthew made headlines himself for getting arrested (again), though Hailey didn’t mention her ex getting thrown in the clink in the bio page of her online fundraiser.
“This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever posted, and honestly I’ve gone back and forth on it because I know not everyone is going to understand,” Hailey 2 wrote. “I know there will probably be judgment, and that scares me. But if I never put it out there, I’ll always wonder ‘what if?’”

“Before Zak and I met, he had a vasectomy during a different chapter of his life,” she explained. “At the time, it was the right decision for him. Then we met, fell in love, got engaged, and started building a life together. Somewhere along the way, we realized we both shared the same dream—to have a baby together. The only way that’s possible for us is through a vasectomy reversal, and unfortunately, it’s something our insurance doesn’t cover. It’s a huge expense, and after going back and forth for a long time, we decided to make a GoFundMe.”
Hailey went on to say that “asking for help is not easy for [her]” and that she doesn’t “expect anyone to donate.”
“But if you feel led to help, or even just share our fundraiser, it would mean the world to us,” she continued. “If this isn’t something you agree with, I completely respect that. I just ask that you be kind.”
Hailey 2’s “A Second Chance at Growing Our Family” fundraiser has raised $147 of its $7,900 goal as of press time.

Hailey’s GoFundMe was met with so much backlash that she soon disabled her Instagram comments. The post and fundraiser remain online, though.
Many fans agree that if the couple is asking for money to get the procedure, then maybe they don’t have the means to support a fourth child.
“Having another baby is optional. Starting a GFM for that is ridiculous,” one fan wrote on Reddit.
“In one of her comments she said this was an “unexpected medical expense.’ What part of an elective procedure is unexpected?!?!?” another fan observed.
“So they can’t afford between $5k-$15k to get it reversed but want a baby? Diapers and formula alone are easily over $5k for a year. Be grateful you have a son and give him the best life you can,” one fan wrote.
Shortly after disabling her comments, Hailey took to Instagram again to speak directly to the haters.
“Vulnerability feels brave until it’s used against you,” one post read.
She told people who were “commenting negative things” that she would be praying for them.

“It took a lot for me to share this and you all make it even worse,” she wrote. “Zak and I are AMAZING parents. Our kids are very well taken care of and the fact you all think we couldn’t afford to raise another child is sad. There is a huge difference between raising a child and needing almost $8,000 upfront.
“To all the negative people, I am saving up money every chance I get. I have cut back on things. Zak and I do work, so all the negative comments are just not needed…”
Hailey is no stranger to getting hate. Back in 2019, she was bombarded with hate (and awarded the nickname “Hailey 2”) after she admitted to flirting and texting with Matthew, despite the fact that he was dating Hailey’s best friend at the time, Hailey “Hailey 1” Tomlinson. After he impregnated Hailey 1, Matthew left her for Hailey 2…whom he soon impregnated as well.
(If this is still not ringing a bell for you as to who these people are, you may remember Matthew for claiming his girlfriend had “Post Traumatic Down Syndrome.” Yesss…)
Hailey 2 was eventually kicked off ‘Unexpected’ in June 2020 after racially insensitive messages were discovered on her Instagram. (Hailey claimed that the messages were found on an old account that had been hacked.)
Matthew and Hailey 2 went on to break up— after a very toxic relationship— and Matthew denied that he was the father of Hailey 2’s son Levi.

After receiving the backlash for her GoFundMe this week, Hailey 2 stated that ‘Unexpected’ fans still hold her actions with Matthew against her, despite it happening so long ago.
“You all yet again are only judging me because of a TV show I was on when I was 17,” she wrote. “I’m done with that being the only thing you all hold over my head. At the end of the day, I am human. Sorry that you all feel the need to drag me down every chance you get.”
She made another post later to address people’s concerns that if she and Zac can’t afford the vasectomy reversal surgery, then they can’t afford a baby.
“Those are two completely different things,” she claimed. “A one-time medical procedure that costs thousands of dollars upfront is not the same as providing for a child over the course of their life.”
“We have jobs, we pay our bills, we have a home. We take care of our family every single day,” Hailey 2 continued. “Asking for help with a one-time expense doesn’t suddenly mean we’re incapable of being good parents. So many families need help with IVF, adoptions, fertility treatments, unexpected medical bills, or other major life expenses. That doesn’t mean they wouldn’t be loving, stable, capable parents.”

In the comment section of one of her posts, Hailey 2 revealed that her son does see Hailey 1’s daughter, Kinsley, who is his half-sister. (The two Haileys eventually made up and bonded over Matthew’s lack of involvement as a father in their kids’ lives.)
Speaking of Matthew, last week he was arrested again for felony theft by unlawful taking or disposition. According to Starcasm, it’s alleged that he stole anywhere from $1,000 and $10,000. (This is his second felony theft charge in the past four years.)
Earlier this year, Matthew was also arrested for firearm and marijuana possession in April.
On TikTok, Hailey 2 recently explained why she got involved with (and got pregnant by) Matthew.
“I was 17 years old,” she wrote in response to a negative comment. “I was still learning who I was and figuring life out myself. I wasn’t trying to hurt anyone, and I didn’t have a crystal ball to know how someone would turn out years later. I fell for someone who, at the time, said all the right things and made me believe we had a future. When I found out I was pregnant, I made the choice to love and raise my child and I would make that choice a thousand times over. I know people say, “you should’ve known,” but the truth is I was 17.
“I was young, inexperienced, and I trusted someone I thought I could trust. You don’t always see someone’s future actions when you’re only seeing the person they choose to show you in that moment. What matters now is that I’m a mother, I’ve grown, I’ve learned, and every decision I make today is about protecting my son and giving him the life, stability, and love he deserves.”
Hailey 1 has yet to comment on either Matthew’s arrest or Hailey 2’s GoFundMe.

Well shit, good thing the courts didnt hand that baby over to this crazy person like the masses demanded based in bits & pieces from some unreliable narrators, huh? You hardly need a crystal ball, or the wisdom of a lifetime, to know that a boy who cheats on your best friend with you is not to be trusted.
There are a lot of things that can be said about this, and a lot of it has already been said here already. So let me throw this out there, if you see each other’s children as your own why do they need one together? The world is nuts right now and one of my personal goals is to make sure the kiddos that we have are happy, well adjusted, feel supported/loved, and become successful adults.

On average a baby can cost $2000 a month with child care. God forbid if the baby has a medical emergency and no insurance. Yes you pay $8000 at once for a reversal. You pay for your children every single day. Instead of worrying about raising money for a reversal maybe think about taking care of the one you have. It is not the general public’s responsibility to pay for your man’s procedure. People have really forgotten what go fund me was actually for.
She has 1 child he has 2….so it is not like they are lacking the parenting experience.
If they both have jobs save the money. If they both have jobs and pay their bills then get care credit, get into a payment plan.
My guess is they rent their home, he pays minimum for child support for his other 2 children and they have no savings.

There are people who make gofundme for life saving surgeries for their beloved pets. Gofundme’s for terminally ill children. For helping families rebuild after disaster strikes.

She likely believes what so many do these days. Public assistance will pay for the child to live below the poverty line. This girl should be sterilized.
You are 100% right about this. Not all, but so many people DO believe that they can simply get on public assistance or claim a made up disability, which my sister-in-law did, and just have babies and sit on their ass. It’s pathetic that women who think this way usually are the ones who have zero problems popping out babies at will, while other women who are mentally and financially stable, can’t get pregnant.
Right.. I understand some moms do need the help. I have no problem with moms getting Medicaid for their kids, or some baby formula through wic. HOWEVER, to just have another baby with the expectation that you will skate by with government help, is disgusting.
If you can’t afford the procedure you can’t afford another kid. What if the kid has a REAL unexpected medical emergency? How is she going to pay for that? Another GoFundMe. GoFundMe was originally a good idea to help needy people but it’s now overrun with entitled people grifting. Sad.
