‘Teen Mom’ Leah Messer Reveals in New Book That Her Daughter Addie Was Conceived After Night of Skinny Dipping with Jeremy Calvert, Kail Lowry & Javi Marroquin

“Let’s strip down and get pregnant!”

Leah Messer‘s book was officially released this week and is already sitting at the top of Amazon’s “Best Seller Rankings,” coming in at No. 2 in the TV Shows category and No. 1 in the Television Genres category at press time.

As The Ashley has previously reported, the book— called Hope, Grace & Faith— is full of bombshell revelations about the Teen Mom 2 star’s past, including her tragic childhood, her abortion cover-up, her mother’s odd parenting choices and more.

In the book, Leah also talks about how her her youngest daughter, Addie, was conceived after a wild night with then-husband Jeremy Calvert, and their then-married ‘Teen Mom 2’ co-stars Kail Lowry and Javi Marroquin!

Leah reveals she got pregnant with Addie on the night she married Jeremy in June 2012 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. (They were actually already married, having gotten hitched in April of that year in a private ceremony in Kentucky, but they had their public ceremony and reception in Myrtle Beach and filmed it for the show.)

“Champagne was flowing at the reception, and we partied late into the night,” Leah writes. “Kailyn Lowry came with her then-husband Javi, and we all went skinny dipping in the ocean.”

Leah states that the late-night booze-and-swim sesh with her ‘Teen Mom 2’ co-stars contributed to her and Jeremy’s lack of contraception that night.

“You looked so dern purdy that night, I couldn’t help but impregnate you!”

“We were drunk as f**k, and Jeremy and I were not thinking clearly when we made the decision not to use a condom on our wedding night,” Leah writes. “After what I had just gone through [with the abortion disguised as a miscarriage], I didn’t want to take any chances, so as soon as we got back home to West Virginia I took Plan B.”

Leah’s attempt to stop herself from getting pregnant was unsuccessful, though, and her daughter Addie was born in February 2013 during a nasty snowstorm. (She goes into detail about Addie’s birth in Hope, Grace & Faith.)

“I put the ‘Fertile Myrtle’ in Myrtle Beach, y’all!”

“Well, little miss Addie wasn’t letting anything—not emergency contraception and definitely not a snowstorm—stop her from coming into this world.”

  1. Clearly this girl (and pretty much all the other ones) on this show do not learn from their mistakes…that much is clear. What I find so hilarious though is finding this out now and then thinking back to the statements she made when Addie was born. At the time, Teen Mom 2 was on some kind of hiatus but they went and filmed a special little segment on Leah when Addie was born. Leah was only 19 at the time and newly married. I remember clear as day hearing her say in this that while some people may judge her for having another child again so young, she felt that she was stable enough to do it right this time and that she very much wanted to and chose to get pregnant. She defended herself saying that this was what she wanted to do and that was okay. Smh….I wouldn’t judge her for wanting to get pregnant or NOT wanting to get pregnant, it’s her body and her life so whatever I guess. What I DO judge her for is these back and forth stories we so often hear from these Teen Mom girls, to suit whatever fits their motive at the time. It makes it hard to believe a word they say!

  3. Condoms? Why wasn’t she on birth control? And please don’t say she can’t take hormones. Her birth control options also included sponge, cap, diaphragm, copper IUD or spermicide in the form of a gel, foam or film.

    1. I currently have a friend claiming her dr told her that she can’t take ANY birth control because it will mess with her body. She even claimed he said she can’t use a nonhormonal IUD because it will eventually stop her periods which would cause some kind of imbalance.

      1. [* Shield plugin marked this comment as “Trash”. Reason: Failed Bot Test (expired) *]
THen she needs to report him for malpractice and find a new doctor because WOW is that a malpractice suit waiting to happen and HIGHLY unethical.

      2. I’ll admit I am no doctor but why can’t your friend use barrier birth control like the sponge, cervical cap or diaphragm?

        1. No clue. She says the dr told her she just can’t use anything and to “be smart about condoms”.

    2. If I remember correctly, she told her mom that she took out her IUD. Her & Jeremy wanted to have a kid together but she was still in love with Corey too. I remember her going to Corey’s house to “talk” while Jeremy was away at work one night. I’m thinking that she didn’t know who the dad was & that’s the reason she had the abortion.

  4. Why is it ok to say that you took plan b? Or went to get an abortion? Neverrrrrrr. WTF???? Poor kids.

    1. I don’t think they should be taboo subjects. I’ve thought about having an abortion. I was 19 and already had one child I was struggling to care for due to postpartum depression. And abortions will be part of the discussion I have with my daughters when they’re older.
HOWEVER, I would NEVER tell my daughter that I thought about aborting her. N E V E R

  5. So she did this in June. And Addie was born in February. You’re pregnant for 36-40wks which is approximately 9-10mths.
Unless it was the 1st June she got knocked up. These dates don’t add up.
The schools aren’t well in WV alright 🙄
I’m thinking Leah was already pregnant with Miss Addie at the wedding.

    1. It’s possible. My son was born a month before Addie. He was conceived mid April (I know this for certain because I was on a fertility treatment). But he was born after his due date so if Addie was born on the early side, it’s possible.
And you’re not pregnant for 40 weeks. The 40 week average is counting from the start of your cycle, so the time before ovulation is counted into the pregnancy, but you’re not technically pregnant yet. After conception it’s on average 38 weeks, which is less than 9 months.

    2. Addie was born 5 weeks early

  6. Every single copy of this book should be burned and sent back to hell where it belongs.

  7. Jesus God Leah, I hope it wasn’t too dark that night or it might turn out Javi is your secret baby daddy

  8. Does she not realize or just not care that Addie will read this? Is money from a book that important to her? Here’s a crazy idea, how about getting on birth control after your abortion/faked miscarriage? Then, your drunken night wouldn’t have mattered. You can go on a pay for an abortion, a wedding, a honeymoon and Plan B but you can’t pay for birth control? Wow.

  9. I think that story is so nice and inspiring 😊. NOT! Lmao this whole book seems embarrassing

  10. Hey Addie, remember the time your mom didn’t want you so much that she popped a pill so that you wouldn’t be around? Good times!

Those poor girlses. Let’s hope that the schools in West Virginny really aren’t well enough that these poor girls won’t ever learn how to read so they never have to accidentally read this book full of reminders that their mother had 3 oopsie babies and got rid of countless others.

  11. Wow, just wow. Couple of things here we need to examine.

    1. She tired to assassinate another fetus but this one fought off the drugs to live, what a champion. Can’t wait until the daughter reads that part of the book.

2 I call bullshit on the after ocean drip bang session. If he saw Kail nude that boner would be killed for 48 to 72 hours, minimum.

    stay lit

  12. Thanks a lot The Ashley – I was just about to eat my delicious Panera sandwich and now I can’t after reading the title! 😆🤮
