Honey Boo Boo is a homeowner!
On Thursday, 21-year-old Alana Thompson revealed on social media that she and her 25-year-old boyfriend Dralin Carswell have put down roots by purchasing a home together in Colorado.
“We are officially HOMEOWNERS!” Alana posted to Facebook. “This may not seem like much to some, but it means the world to us. So many emotions, so much patience, and so many moments wondering if it would finally happen and now we get to say this home is OURS.
“Here’s to building our future and making memories in a place we can call our own,” she added.
Later on Instagram, Alana told followers that she’s already looking for someone to hire to redo both of the bathrooms in her new abode, while specifying that the house is located in Denver, Colorado.
As fans of ‘Mama June: Family Crisis’ know, while Alana is from Georgia, she moved to Denver in 2023 to attend college at Regis University, where she’s studying to become a pediatric nurse. Dralin relocated to Colorado with Alana at the time and, despite the couple securing a place to rent for their first year in the Mile High City, Alana revealed in August 2024 that she and Dralin were having difficulties finding another place to live, allegedly due to Dralin’s student loan debt– not his criminal record, as some fans had speculated.
Although this new home is the first that Alana and Dralin have purchased, the two have been living together for some time. In fact, after denying for years that Alana had lived with Dralin when she was still a minor, Mama June Shannon and husband Justin Stroud revealed on TikTok in May that the couple actually began shacking up when Alana was just 15.
Anyway, while Alana is reportedly set to graduate from Regis University in 2029, it’s unknown if she and Dralin will continue living in Colorado afterwards, or if they plan to sell their home and relocate elsewhere once she finishes her degree.
While Alana has become a homeowner at the young age of 21, she isn’t the only one of Mama June’s kids to purchase new digs this year. As The Ashley previously told you, Alana’s older sister (and former guardian) Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon revealed on social media in August that she’d banked enough money through her sexy-time side hustle on OnlyFans to purchase a house for her family in Georgia.
“What a truly sweet and surreal moment,” Pumpkin posted, alongside a photo of herself and boyfriend Darrin Kitchens holding a “just closed” sign. “Today, we officially paid cash for the home our children have grown up in, and I could literally cry.
“To know that there are no more payments and that this home is completely ours is a feeling I can’t even put into words … ,” she added.
