EXCLUSIVE! ‘Teen Mom’ Producers to Be Sequestered in Production “Bubble” In Order to Film New Seasons: Get All the Details!

“The show must go on, y’all!”

MTV is not going to let that pesky Coronavirus keep it from bringing us more Teen Mom!

The Ashley can exclusively reveal that the network has come up with a way to safely film the new seasons of Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2— and it’s taking a page from the world of sports!

‘Teen Mom OG’ has officially been renewed for its ninth season, The Ashley can confirm. While ‘Teen Mom 2’ has yet to be officially confirmed for another season (to follow Season 10A, which will air this summer), The Ashley’s sources tell her “it’s almost 100 percent certain” that more episodes will be approved.

The Ashley broke the news in mid-March that production on all ‘Teen Mom’ shows was being  shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, the only footage filmed has been filmed by the cast member themselves, or via video chat. (The footage we’ll see in the upcoming season of ‘Teen Mom 2’ was either shot before the pandemic or self-shot.)

However, MTV is eager to get the production ball moving— and it has come up with a way to safely film the girls…but not all of the crew members are happy with the plan!

“The company wants to fly the same group of production and crew members to [the girl’s] area, and keep them there for a few months. This is very different from our normal shooting schedule, where we’d only be out there a week or so at a time and then come home,” one behind-the-scenes source tells The Ashley. “[The crew] will have to quarantine away from the girls for a week, then film almost daily for a few months. Everyone will be tested [for COVID-19] every two weeks, and get their temperature checked every day.”

“So…basically I’m gonna be chained to Ambie’s couch for a few months? This could get bad…”

The source tells The Ashley that most of the cast members have not even been informed of the new plan. While another source predicts the girls and their families “won’t be happy” to film so frequently, the stress really falls on the crew.

“No one will be allowed to go home to see their families, or have people visit them in the state they’re working in,” the second source said. “They will be kept in a quarantine ‘bubble’ just like the NBA. They’ll basically be isolated from everyone but the cast and other crew members.”

The sources tell The Ashley that some of the shows’ regular crew and producers have turned down the offer, and that there are currently a few girls “who have no producer.”

“Some producers and crew are willing to do it, if they can change to working with some of the girls that live closer to New York City, in case of a family emergency,” one source said. “They’re having a harder time finding a crew for the girls who live far from the New York area, where most of the production people live.”

“I just had a horrifying thought. What if Jenelle was still on the show & I had to be locked on The Land for that long!?”

“An ad was posted [for the network] recently, stating that this would all begin as early as August 2 and go for as long as 15 weeks,” one source told The Ashley. “The network is providing housing for everyone— and we’re being promised it’s accommodations that are better-suited for long-term stays, instead of just the standard hotel rooms. But a lot of people are holding out to see how the pay will be. That August 2 date doesn’t seem plausible.”

The Ashley will have more info on the upcoming seasons soon…stay tuned…

  1. I have a comment about last night’s Teen Mon OG episode. I have watched this series since it started. I am watching it to see the struggles of raising kids young. I am NOT watching it to get a BLM sermon. Cheyenne can do that on her own time. It turned me right off. I will most likely not watch this series again. It is an issue, but should not be on this program.

  2. OUR LIVES ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THIS SHOW. COVID-19 IS NO JOKE. IT IS THINGS & PEOPLE LIKE THIS THAT JEOPARDIZES THE LIVES OF OTHERS FOR A BUCK. WHY NOT DO A SHOW THAT ENCOURAGES THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO WEAR MASKS, STAY INSIDE AS MUCH AS THEY CAN SO WE CAN WIN THE BATTLE & SAVE THE LIVES OF THE FIRST RESPONDERS FROM IDIOTS WHO WOULD RATHER KILL THAN SAVE LIVES.

  3. Well in my opinion I hope they bring teen mom back soon it’s been kind of boring watching othershows I hope they reach an agreement soon

  4. Damn it I must of read this headline wrong. I got excited thinking they had been called to court to testify. Hopefully thinking it was for the Swamp Kids.

  5. Not going to watch this crap’ola of a show.
Just look at social media and you can see what they are doing, or not doing (working)

  6. At least they’re not trying to con some poor schmucks into using Farrah’s Port-a-potty and listening to Farrah-speak for 15 weeks straight.

It wouldn’t be David they had to worry about shooting up the set.

  7. Didn’t watch last season, ain’t watchin’ this season. Buh bye. 👋🏽 Hopefully, the REAL WORLD takes a big, wet, bite outta their tuchas someday soon. Uncle Sam comes and swipes a house or two from some of ’em for back taxes, CPS snags some kids for being neglected, a few go to jail for being fuckin’ criminals .. yeah, I’m looking at you Ambien, Rhine and David. 👀

    I hope that bubble bursts.

  8. Please juat let it go. These girls are not role models or heros. They dont deserve the cash the make. 4 men and 4 babies?

  9. I hope no producers or camera crew agree to this. Then mtv will have to cancel the show.

  10. The Hills cast must be punching the air LOL. Guess MTV doesn’t think the public is “starving” for more stale Hills content.

  11. Getting tested for covid every 2 weeks just to film Amber’s ass? That sounds like the 7th circle of hell to me. I’ve had 2 tests and they are terrible, and certainly not worth the Teen Mom OG cast.

  12. Is there anything worth filming that justifies removing crew from family and paying for extended lodging? Maci pounding some brews and peddling tshirts? Ty and cait upset their children are female? Amber sitting on the couch? I don’t know if there’s other cast members I haven’t watched in years. MTV needs a new direction.

  13. Meanwhile the cast of The Hills is super pissed because MTV is ignoring them all together. Lol

    1. HAHA! I still can(t) believe they really had someone say that “The world is starving for new content” from the Hills. This has got to be a slap in the face…I see a rant coming from at least one of The Hills cast members if production doesn’t pick up again soon….my money is on Spencer.

      1. Same. You know Spencer is PISSED MTV producers are basically moving in with the cast of Teen Mom while they can’t even get one producer to film them at all.

    2. Spencer and Justin Bobby are going to give exclusive interviews very soon. They are probably both on the phone with “US Weekly” and “Life and Style” as I write this.

      1. Funny and probably true! Spencer and JB are the biggest mouth pieces for the show, and honestly the biggest liars when it comes to how “good” the show is. You know they’re going to be the main ones hyping up the “new drama”, meanwhile the story line will be Spencer is still obsessed with crystals, and JB is still antagonizing Audrina.
