Season 16 of ‘Sister Wives’ Premieres This Fall With The Brown Family “Splitting Apart At The Seams”: Get Details of the Upcoming Season

Buckle up: another season of Brown Family disfunction is on the way.

A new season of Sister Wives premieres this fall, and, in true Brown Family fashion, Season 16 will be anything but sweet.

Last season, viewers saw the forever-on-the-move-Fundie family still at odds over their separate living situation, with Christine ready to pack up (again) and head to Utah, despite Janelle, Meri and Robyn not being on board with the idea.

She was also questioning her marriage to stringy haired family patriarch Kody, even stating that she can’t “do marriage” with Kody anymore.

During Season 16, viewers will see Christine continue the relocation conversation with Kody and her fellow sister wives, only to be shutdown again. Kody’s attempt to convince Christine to change her mind is equally unsuccessful, as Christine “walks out in tears,” unable to continue their conversation.

” …and by ‘that habit,’ I mean never agreeing on anything.”

(As you may recall, Christine started eyeing Utah as the Brown’s new happy home one polygamy was decriminalized in the state last year.)

When no one wants to move to Utah with you and it’s no fair…

This season will also feature the family’s different “opinions about COVID protocols”–- something that leads to tension between Janelle’s family and Kody and Robyn. The holidays will prove to be particularly problematic for the Browns, as Janelle and Christine’s families “refuse to follow Kody’s COVID rules.”

On the bright side, things seem to be going OK for Meri in the upcoming season.

Although Meri, Kody’s first wife, continues to have “no romantic relationship” with her frizzy-haired husband, she is “managing the drama within the family well.”

Raise your hand if your husband has done nothing but side-hug you in years and you’re completely fine with it.

Viewers can also look forward to the Browns finally preparing to build their separate homes on Kody’s beloved Coyote Pass property, despite the family “splitting apart at the seams”– per usual.

“Speaking of splitting apart at the seams… can I interest you in a pair of my buttery soft, sturdy leggings?”

‘Sister Wives’ returns November 21 at 10 p.m. on TLC. No trailer for the new reason has been released yet.

  1. Anyone else think Mariah is transitioning? Per Audrey’s last IG post, her chest looks… different. Mariah has been posting a lot of trans content on her IG stories. Just curious 🤷🏻‍♀️

  2. It’s probably going to be a whole lot of nothing. Every season they just talk about the same thing…Meri’s catfishing drama, moving into one house, who will be in the trees or get the pond, etc. It’s all the same story lines.

  3. I wonder if these women know how much money they could earn by simply leaving that “man”

Tv shows, books deals etc. They could make enough to never worry about money again just by leaving ..

I dont know whats holding them back, they dont Seem that religious anymore and sure cant be love. He showing signs of growing tired of Sobbin too ..

  4. I can’t watch anymore. This is just a miserable disaster for Meri, Janelle and Christine, plus all their kids. They no longer seem committed to the religious basis of their plural marriage, so they should just dissolve it, and try to find some peace and happiness. Unfortunately, the women are all in late middle age, and I don’t know what their financial futures would look like. It’s horrible to be stuck in a bad marriage, no matter what the circumstances.

  5. I watched SW when it first aired and would ask anyone that listened, “Do you watch SW?! Please do and tell me I’m not insane that the network is selling a loving unconventional family and all the women look like they want to jump off the roof…”

16… 16!!! Seasons in on the same malarkey. None of the women, muchless the kids, are happy. The show needs to end bc it will FORCE the women in this ridiculous religion/relationship to find their happiness. Because this sitch* ain’t it.

  6. I have no excuse for continuing to watch this show, especially since Truely and Solomon were hardly seen last season, but it’s kind of fascinating to see how long they can lie to themselves to justify such an unnatural way of life (for the women) before it all implodes. Looks like they’re on the brink! We’ll see.

Seeking Sister Wife is even more twisted because the women on that show go through Olympic level mental gymnastics to wrap their minds around going from a normal life (at least for the redhead) to adjusting to the fact that their husbands want them to accept AND BE HAPPY with their husband’s new goal of fucking someone else in the room down the hall while they sleep alone. LOL!
