Nathan Griffith remains behind bars, weeks after being arrested for allegedly strangling his girlfriend Anastasia Biddle, and violating the probation he was already on for strangling his sister back in 2023.
As The Ashley previously reported, the Teen Mom 2 dad was defended by his baby mama Jenelle Evans immediately after his arrest, with Jenelle stating that she didn’t believe that Nathan got physical with his girlfriend, and that the girlfriend was at fault for what happened just as much as Nathan. (Jenelle— who shares son Kaiser with Nathan— even offered Nate a place to stay on the night the cops were looking for him.)
However, The Ashley has obtained the arrest report, as well as the domestic violence report, from the night Nathan was arrested and it tells a very different story than the one Jenelle told on TikTok in defense of Nathan.
According to the officer who wrote the declaration of arrest report— obtained by The Ashley— cops were dispatched to the home to find Anastasia sitting in her car. The officer reported that Anastasia claimed that Nathan “is an alcoholic; however he has not drank any alcohol for the time they have been dating.” (She stated that she and Nate had been together since November.)
Anastasia told the cops that Nathan had been drinking for the few days leading up to the arrest and that he had “started to become aggressive with her.”
“Today [Anastasia] told [Nathan] that they were breaking up and she got in her car to call his mom [Doris Davidson],” the report states. “While [Anastasia was] on the phone with his mom, he came out to the car and took her phone away from her, later giving it back.”
Anastasia stated that she remained in the car and Nathan went back inside the home and called her.
“[Nathan] begged [Anastasia] to come back inside of the house and cuddle with him one last time and [Anastasia] agreed, as long as [Nathan] would leave,” the report states. (It appears that Nathan and Anastasia were staying at a home that belongs to one of her family members.)
Anastasia told the cops that when she went back into the home, things turned scary.
“While on the bed laying down, [Nathan] got on top of [Anastasia] and grabbed both of her arms,” the report states. “At one point, he let go and wrapped both of his hands around her neck and strangled her for a couple of seconds. [Nathan] would let go of her neck and grab [Anastasia’s] arms again. [Nathan] repeated this approximately three times. [Anastasia] was finally able to leave the residence and call the police.”
Despite Nathan (and later Jenelle) claiming that he didn’t get physical with her, the cops noted some wounds on Anastasia’s body.
“I observed reddening and multiple marks on [Anastasia’s] neck, as well as reddening on her right bicep area,” the officer wrote. “Photos were taken of the injuries.”
The officers wrote that, while they were speaking to 21-year-old Anastasia, Nathan came outside but ran back into the house when he spotted the cops.
“[Nathan] ignored multiple commands to stop and turn around,” the officer wrote. “[Nathan] refused to come outside for officers, even after knocking on the door and speaking with him on the phone.
“[Nathan] was extremely intoxicated while talking with him over the phone, slurring his words and crying hysterically,” the officer noted.
Once the officers saw that Nate was already on probation for Attempted Battery by Strangulation— a charge he pleaded guilty to last year after getting violent with his sister in 2023— they called the probation officer to come down and assist.
The officer declared he had probable cause for three charges against Nathan: domestic battery strangulation, violating his probation by consuming alcohol, and being uncooperative with officers.
“Due to the fact [Nathan] did use force or violence upon the person of another, with whom he shares a domestic relationship…by strangling her multiple times, has a history of strangulation, and [Anastasia] having marks around her neck, [Nathan] was arrested for Domestic Battery Strangulation,” the report reads.
As The Ashley has previously reported, Nathan has a history of being charged with domestic battery and strangulation. In addition to the crime against his sister in 2023, Nate was charged in February 2023 with “domestic battery by strangulation” against a girlfriend (while he was married to May Oyola) in Florida. The case did not move forward because the alleged victim dropped the charges.
In 2016, Nathan was arrested in South Carolina for attacking his then-girlfriend Jessica Henry. She told police at the time that Nate had come into her room while she was sleeping and started choking her.
In March of 2015, Nathan was arrested for domestic violence against Jenelle when he allegedly tried to rip the engagement ring he had given Jenelle off of her finger. (The incident played out on an episode of ‘Teen Mom 2.’ Who could forget a sobbing Nate screaming “Jenneeeeeellle!” in the back of a police car?!) Jenelle later dropped those charges against Nathan.
He has also been arrested numerous times for alcohol-related charges.
After Nathan’s arrest, Anastasia filed out a questionnaire given to her by the officers, which is standard following an arrest for domestic violence in Las Vegas. The DV Auxiliary LAP Questionnaire asks the alleged victim about the person who was arrested and their past behavior. Depending on the answers given by the alleged victim, it could be determined that they are in “high risk/danger.”
Anastasia answered “Yes” when asked if she thought Nathan might try to kill her, which automatically deemed the situation “high risk/danger.”
She also stated that Nathan has been “violently or consistently jealous/ controls most of her daily activities.” (This is something that Nathan and Anastasia had previously celebrated about their relationship on social media.)
Since his arrest, The Ashley can confirm that Nathan has retained a private attorney. He is currently facing a felony charge of “Domestic Battery by Strangulation,” as well as a misdemeanor charge of “Domestic Battery, First Offense.” He appeared in court on April 29 for those charges and was kept in custody, due to his probation violation charge.
During that same court hearing, Nathan was ordered not to have any contact with Anastasia until at least August 21. Right before the court hearing, though, Nathan called Anastasia from jail and begged her not to go to the court date, in hopes the charges would end up getting dropped against him. According to court records, Nathan is due to go before a judge on May 13 for the new charges. In addition, his old case (for strangling his sister) has been reopened, due to him allegedly violating his probation from that charge.
On Tuesday, Nathan went to court for the probation violation charge, where it was determined that Nathan would remain in custody until May 22, which is the date of his next hearing for this charge.
As The Ashley previously reported, Nathan could be facing some serious jail time if he is convicted of the crimes he’s charged with. The terms of his sentence from the 2023 strangulation conviction state that, if Nathan violates his probation, he will go to prison for 12 to 48 months.

This guy going to kill a woman one day unless he gets and *stays* locked up. He’s a serial predator who likes to strangle, something that astronomically increases his chances to murder. Even if he gets therapeutic help he’s very unlikely to change. Batterers of women rarely do.

He’s run out of second chances. He’s squandered ever good faith effort the courts and the VA provided to help him turn his life around. For the time being and foreseeable future, he’s where he belongs.
Yep, both him and Sarah Palin’s son have abused VA court to try to get away with domestic violence (multiple times). I’m a veteran myself and there is no excuse for Nathan’s behavior. I hope the judge throws the book at him.

It’s not surprising that DeluJanelle offered Nathan a place to hide out from the cops. It’s also not surprising that she would be willing to let a known violent person to be around her kids. This self professed super mom who loves her kids “too much”, continues to prove just the opposite. When the hell is the system going to stop failing those 3 kids???
As for Nathan, even if he’s given the maximum sentence, he’ll be arrested again for the same damn thing. He’s already a repeat abuser. Protect women and lock him up for a long time!
I hope that Anastasia stays strong and doesn’t drop the charges and testifies against him. If anyone wraps their hands around my neck and squeezes and then has the audacity to call from jail and whine, begging for help, that would seal his fate. I would for sure show up to court at that point. He is gaslighting and trying to manipulate her from jail! He is going to kill someone someday, and I am honestly shocked he hasn’t yet.
I’m unsure about Nevada, but where I live, it doesn’t matter if the victim doesn’t want to move forward with DV charges. The prosecutor decides if there’s enough evidence to charge them and it goes from there. It sounds like there’s plenty of of evidence to charge him with this. Even if hell freezes over and they don’t charge him for this attack, he violated his probation by drinking, assaulting her and not cooperating with the police. The violations are enough for the judge to revoke his probation and make him complete his original sentence for strangling his sister (12-48 months)
Came here to say this. I’m pretty sure in this case the prosecutor has enough to charge him without the victim’s testimony. It seems like Nevada takes things more seriously than NC does. And also like you said – even if he’s not convicted of this it’s still a probation violation so he’s still going to do time.
Here in Nevada, we have of the strongest domestic violence laws in the country.
Why are DV victims in the states even allowed to drop the charges. In Canada I never even had to show up to court after pilice reports were filed. They had pictures and other evidence and it wasn’t up to me to press charges or not. They just were. These victims are intimidated all the time into dropping charges. It’s ridiculous
It isn’t up to victims whether charges are dropped or not in the US, either. However, if victims don’t cooperate with the police, they may not have as strong of a case. It is ultimately up to the District Attorney whether or not charges are dropped/pressed,
FINALLY one of the low-life characters from TM is likely to serve some serious, well-deserved time in the clink. But it should not have taken several women being strangled for it to come to this. Before this, Nathan, Rhine, David, Janelle and others seemed like Teflon and they kept getting away with their antics.
Nathan is never going to stop putting his hands in women unless he is permanently placed behind bars. Likewise, Jenelle is never going to be Nathan’s significant other again, no matter how much she defends him and pays his legal bills.

I have a life, I have 10 kids and guess what, none of then are dumb enough to get with someone who had a violent past.
All these girls that Nathan gets with have to know what he’s done to EVERY girl he’s been with yet they still get with him.
It’s isn’t about intelligence. I’ve been victim to two abusive men and I’m far from stupid. I grew up very abused by my father, with a mother who couldn’t possibly have cared less. I sadly went on to repeat the cycle, take what I thought I deserved, until my 30s when I realized I was choosing men who hurt me because that’s all I ever knew. The things you are saying is horrible. Jesus would never condone you wishing violence against a woman because she was desperate for love. These men make a woman feel so special and so loved, because they are starved for it and they will eat up every little thing they do nice or get right. It’s as much of a desperation for love from the man as it is the woman.
Jordy, I’m not saying ALL women who find themselves in violent situations are stupid…just those that KNOW the violent past of the man…abusing an unsuspecting woman is “shame on the abuser” behavior BUT Nathan’s violent past has been widely publicized through the years…she had to have known what he was capable of doing since he’s violently abused EVERY woman he’s been with (including Jenelle)…that’s “shame on both of them” behavior (but mainly her)…however, I think she saw $ signs because Nathan’s in the public eye (albeit all of the wrong reasons) and she figured “hey I’ll get attention if i get with him and hey if he does something to me I’ll get even more attention”.

Girl I get it. You’re not victim blaming. I was with a guy who was in the military. He slapped me once and I said “peace out” never saw him again. And we were together almost a year and he chose to show his true self months into it. I think maybe a lot of the women who find themselves going back are used to the chaos and abuse from child hood because I could never.

I think criminal defense lawyers should give Morgan Freeman and the rest some “Thank You” flowers for producing Teen Mom and giving them all these cases. Child support, domestic battery, visitation schedules, orders of protection, driving on suspended license, destruction of a home. ect……..$$$ Of course, poor Bar has a public defender cause he’s broke but all the other ones have made big bucks.
